Tengkawang Tungkul is an endemic species of plant that grows in West Kalimantan which is the best quality wood. Adult tengkawang rooted with good or bad phenotypes will produce fruit and seeds that function as new plant seeds. Knowladge of the source of native seeds or mother trees is the most important part of getting the most quality seeds. The choice of trees as a plus tree is important to produce the best quality seeds. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of tengkawang tungkul that met the criteria as a Plus Tree in tembawang Penyeladi village. This research was conducted in the survey method to determine plus tree candidates and compare trees as a basis for determining plus trees. The object of this research is tengkawang tungkul tree with a diameter of >30 cm and flowering and producing fruit. The phenotype characters consist of a total of tree height, the height of free branches, stem diameter, outward bark width, and tree health. This research found that there were 8 tengkawang tungkul trees that have potential to of plus trees that meet the criteria of a plus tree. The highest score was 72 which was found in plus tree candidate no. 27, a total score of 71 for no. 6, and a total  score of 63 which belongs to candidates numbers 1, 16, 19, 21, 31, and 36. Based on the calculation, the total scores show that a part of the mother trees of tengkawang tungkul in tembawang Penyeladi village of Sanggau regency have met the criteria to be made plus trees.   Keywords: Mother-Trees, Phenotype Characters, Plus Tree, Tengkawang tungkul

Phosphate in the soil is a nutrient that plays an important role in the process of plant growth. In nature, the availability of phosphate is aided by phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) which are common in the rhizosphere. The purpose of this study is to obtain the information on density of PSB population density isolated from former burnt peatlands in Kuala Dua village with different depth and distance from the trench edges. Peat soil sampling was taken by using systematic sampling method and bacterial isolation was carried out on Pikovhskaya media using pour plate method, while the calculation of bacterial density was counted by plate method. The results showed that the lowest BPF colony population density on burnt peat soil was 9.17 x 104 CFU/g soil (isolated from peat depth of 20-50 cm) and the highest colony density of PSB was 141,000 x 104 CFU/g of soil (isolated from peat depth of 0-20 cm). The existence of PSB on burnt peatlands is a biological potential that could be developed to support the efforts of restoring the degraded peatlands. Keywords: burnt peatlands, phosphate solubilizing bacteria, restoratio

This research was conducted by field observation techniques using the track combined with the point count method. Observations were made on three different habitats that secondary forest habitat with three lines of observation, non-forest habitat observation and three lines three lines of observation of aquatic habitats, where each site is done three replications. Observations made with each path length of 1,000 m and width of track 100 m (50 m 50 m left and right). The results showed that from the three habitat study found 76 species of diurnal birds , which consists of 42 species in the habitat of secondary forests with a total of 394 individuals, habitat non forest 49 species with a total of 256 individuals and 31 species in aquatic habitats with the number of individual 590, From the 76 species of birds found there are 38 species of diurnal birds are included in the list of protected species according to the IUCN, CITES and PP No.7 of 1999 concerning Preservation of Plants and Wildlife. ie IUCN there are 12 kinds, there are 12 kinds CITES and PP 7, 1999 there are 22 species of birds.Keyword: Diurnal birds, species diversity, track method.

The purpose of this study is to obtain data on the diversity of termite species found in peatland at using on various water table levels. The method used in this research is survey, transect method with plot based on water level of 30, 40, 50 and 60 cm which previously been established in the field. The plots were made parallel to the ditch with a distance of ± 2 m from the transect. The size of one plot was 100 m x 2 m and made into 20 plots with the size of 5 m x 2 m so that the total of all plots is 80 plot. In each plot, the observation and searching of termites manually by digging the soil as deep as ± 20 cm. Termite criteria sampled were caste soldiers termite with red head trait and taken as much as 5-10 termites. Sampling of termites should be done for one hour per one observation plot. The termite samples obtained are then inserted into glass vials containing alcohol and further identification was done in the laboratory. The study found 3 species of termites namely Coptotermes curvignathus, Schedorhinotermes sarawakensis and Schedorhinotermes medioobcurus from sub families Coptotermitinae and Rhinotermitinae. Keywords: Identification, termite, water table level

Brackish Forest Podorukun Village Seponti District is one of the important habitats for bird species. The purpose of the study was to determine the diversity of bird species found in the brackish forest of Podorukun Village, Seponti District, North Kayong Regency. This research was carried out in the brackish forest of Podorukun Village, Seponti Subdistrict from June 23 to July 15 2018. The method used is the path method (transeck) combined with a count point (point count). This study uses 3 (three) lines in the observation location. The research location was divided into 3 (three) habitats, namely the dominant nipah (Nipa fruticans) vegetation area, the dominant mangrove vegetation area (Rhizophora sp.) And mixed vegetation area. Each of the three observation lines is made in the faithful pathway, 5 count points with a distance between 200 meters and each track is 1000 meters long with a radius of observation for each point 50 meters, the observation time is 15 minutes at each point of calculation. The results of the observations were 24 diurnal species consisting of 22 families. The dominant dominance index at the time of observation was found in the Nipa fruticans with C = 0.1606, the highest diversity index found in mixed vegetation areas with H ̅ = 2.2738 and the highest evenness was found in the mixed vegetation area with e = 0.8617. The highest similarity index was found in mangrove vegetation (Rhizophora sp.) And mixed vegetation with IS value = 60.26%, while the lowest similarity value was found in the dominant nipah (Nipa fruticans) vegetation with mangrove dominant (Rhizophora sp.) = 22,22%. The protected bird species according to Government Regulation No. 7 of 1999 and found in the study location are plain honey birds (Anthreptes simplex), shoot merbah (Pycnonotus goiavier), crested girlfriend lathe (Coromandus clamator), and bird species included in the category of Near Treatened (risk low) namely bird species Plain honey (Anthreptes simplex). Keywords: Birds Diversity.
