KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS VEGETASI PENYUSUN HUTAN MANGROVE DI DESA MEDAN MAS KABUPATEN KUBU RAYA
This study was conducted to determine the diversity of vegetation species that compose mangrove forests in the village of Medan Mas, Kubu Raya Regency. Measured parameters of important value index , dominance index (C), species richness index (RI), species evenness index (e) was carried out using the survey method by means of a plot. The placement of the research path was done (purposive ). The path made in this study is 10 meters wide (5 m to the left 5 m to the right) and the path length is adjusted to the conditions in the field to the river boundary. From the pathway, a sub-plot is made with a size of 10 m x 10 m for the tree level, and 5 m x 5 m for the sapling level and 2 x 2 for the seedling level. The results of this study indicate that the types found in the field amounted to 12 species for seedlings, 10 species for saplings and 9 species for trees. . Based on the results of the data obtained, it is known that the index value of species diversity (H) at seedling, sapling and tree levels shows a number <1. This means that the value of species diversity found in mangrove forests in Medan Mas Village is relatively low. Forests with low species diversity values indicate that the forest area has experienced forest disturbance or damage. When data collection is carried out in the field, there are several locations that experience disruption or damage in the form of logged-over or transfer functions as shrimp ponds. Keywords: Mangrove Forest, Vegetation Diversit

SEBARAN JENIS TENGKAWANG (Shorea Spp) di HUTAN TEMBAWANG DESA LABIAN KECAMATAN BATANG LUPAR KAPUAS HULU KALIMANTAN BARAT
Kapuas Hulu Regency is lowland area of tropical rain forest which has many Dipterocarpaceae, one of which is tengkawang ( Shorea spp). Forests in Kapuas Hulu are currently under threat because of the widespread exploitation of land on a large scale without considering the balance of the ecosystem. Tembawang forest in Labian village has the potential of tengkawang trees which have not been known to be distributed based on topography where is grows. The aim of this study is to obtian the distribution of tengkawang (Shorea spp) species based on topography in the tembawang forest in the Labian district of Kapuas hulu, Kalimantan. This research was conducted using a survey method with samples taken in census in six tembawang. The research results show that there are 4 species of tengkawang (Shorea spp). The disribution of tengkawang spesies based on the from of thopography of Shorea marcophylla Aston and Shorea seminis Slooten grew on the topografhy of the valley with a height of 0 - 87 meter above sea level and slope of 9% - 23 % in all tembawang spread in group closed to waterside and scattered clustered at the Shorea pinanga Scheff and Shorea stenoptera Bruck spread on slope in groups with a height of 60-70 meter above sea level. This research is aimed at exploring the diversity in the river mangrove area kakap district Kubu Raya Province Borneo. Methods that used inside research here that is perposive sampling using tools catch nets and dragnet with 10 supprssant on broads 50 meter and installation draget at any dot observations. Samples taken in the show 6 points of observation within 100 meters. The setting of the sample points was done in the labyrinth p the mangrove orest, which is fine, moderate and badly demaged. Observations in the mangrove conditions affect the diversity of fish such as fine, moderate, and degraded conditions, the result is evidenced by accounts based on the reddish diersity in each observation station on this study is found as many as 5 different fish.Keyword : Fish, Mangrove, Species Diversity Of Fis
POPULASI BEKANTAN (Nasalis larvatus) DI KAWASAN HUTAN MANGROVE SUNGAI SETINGGA ASIN DESA SEBUBUS KECAMATAN PALOH KABUPATEN SAMBAS
Bekantan or Proboscis Monkey (Nasalis larvatus) is a herbivorous primate that occupies riparian areas, mangrove forests and coastal forests in Kalimantan. This species is an endemic primate on Kalimantan Island which has been declared as one of the protected species by the Government of Indonesia based on the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation number P.106 of 2018 concerning protected plant and animal species. Bekantan's main habitat in the form of mangrove swamp forest areas has now been opened due to human activities so that habitats suitable for the life of the proboscis monkey are reduced. This research was conducted in the mangrove forest of Sebubus Village, Paloh Subdistrict, Sambas Regency for 2 weeks effectively in the field to observe and count the number of Bekantan. Starting from September 16, 2018 until completion. This study aims to record the estimated population of Bekantan (Nasalis larvatus) in the mangrove forest area of Sungai Setingga Asin Sebubus Village, Paloh District, Sambas Regency. The research method used is the river survey method. Bekantan population calculation is done by the King method. Based on observations with 6 replications morning and evening. The area of the study area of 14.91 ha showed that there were 35.8 individuals and 1 group of proboscis monkey with a population density of 1.2 individual probes / ha and a group density of 0.03 groups / ha of proboscis.Keyword : mangrove forest Sebubus, proboscis monkey, river surve

Ants have an important role in an ecosystem such as seed spreaders, pollinators, decomposers, and soil growers. Ants can live on peatlands that have acidic pH. The new building of the Faculty of Forestry is an area of peatland where there is one of the fauna, namely ants. The ants in the environment of the Faculty of Forestry’s new biulding are unknown. The research aims to record the types of ants found on peatland in the environment of the new building of the Faculty of Forestry, Tanjungpura University. Takingthe samples of ants was done with sifting hand collecting and leaf litter sifting methods. This study found 4 subfamilies and 7 genera of ants. The subfamilies found were Subfamily Formicinae consisting of the genera Anoplolepis, Camponotus, Echinopla, and Polyrhachis, Subfamily Ponerinae consisting of Genus Diacamma; Subfamily Pseudomyrmecinae consisting of genus Tetraponera; and Subfamily Myrmicinae consisting of the Crematogaster Genus. Diversity index has a value of H ̅ = 1.44 which indicates that the research location has moderate diversity. The overall index of species richness has a DMg value = 5.58 indicating the wealth of ant species is in the high category. Evenness index with a value of 0.73, evenness of ant species is quite even. KORELASI KONSENTRASI IAA DAN BAP TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN KULTUR JARINGAN SENGON (Paraserianthes falcataria)
Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) is a fast growing plant that has high economic value. But the presence of sengon in the wild every year begins to decline due to the high demand for sengon wood. To increase the availability of sengon seeds, the propagation is carried out through tissue culture techniques. This study aims to determine the correlation between growth regulators (IAA and BAP) and the growth of sengon explants. This study used an experimental method with treatment of IAA concentrations of 0 mg/L, 0,5 mg/L, 1 mg/L, 1,5 mg/L, and 2 mg/L and BAP concentrations of 0 mg/L, 1 mg/L, 2 mg/L, 3 mg/L and 4 mg/L. Each treatment was repeated three times and analyzed using a simple correlation test analysis. The results showed, that the higher concentration of IAA and BAP, causes decreased growth of sengon explants, so the concentration of IAA and BAP gives a negative correlation, but provides a strong relationship to the percentage days of appearance of roots, shoots and leaves, plantlet height, root length, and number of leaves. Keywords : Correlation, plant tissue isolation method, sengon
