Avifauna is one of the animals that is easily found in various places, and is one indicator of environmental quality. Avifauna has the ability to spread seeds, help pollinate, natural predators of other animals, and others. This study aims to record the diversity of diurnal avifauna in area Mempawah Mangrove Park and its surroundings in Pasir Village Mempawah Hilir Subdistrict, Mempawah district. The research method used the Point count method, whose observation points are obtained by Purposive sampling, carried out on 9 July-9 August 2018. The results of observations were 35 species of avifauna consisting of 24 families which were divided into three habitats, in the mangrove habitat there were 18 species and 15 families, mixed garden contained 22 species and 18 families, and rice field contained 17 species and 11 families. The dominance index in the mangrove habitat is C = 0.40, mixed garden is C = 0.10 and rice is C = 0.13, indicates that no species dominates the other species, meaning the role of the avifauna species found in all three same habitat. Diversity index shows that mixed garden habitat has a higher species diversity with () = 2.66, mangrove habitat is () = 2.43 and a rice field habitat is () = 2.40, indicates that the three habitats have diversity with moderately criteria. Evenness index in mangrove habitat is (E) = 0.84, in mixed garden habitat is (E) = 0.85 and a rice field habitat is (E) = 0.85, indicates the three habitats the abundance includes evenly distributed or included in a stable community. The highest similarity index of avifauna species is between mangrove habitat and mixed garden with a percentage of 53.58%, rice field habitat with a garden with a percentage of 53.19%, and mangrove habitat with rice fields with a percentage of 38.49%. The highest similarity was between. Keywords: Avifauna, Diversity, Mempawah Mangrove Par

Tropical forests have a complex vegetation structure, which supports habitat for various types of plant species. But the opening of forest land cover can affect it. Picther plan (Nepenthes spp.) is one type of plant that is in the area of tropical rainforest. Nepenthes spp. are a unique type of flora in terms of color and shape which makes this plant very desirable to be used as an ornamental plant that has quite good economic value. The purpose of this study was to determine the species diversity of  Nepenthes spp. from two land cover.  This study uses a double plot with sub-plots with a basic field survey method of laying plots using purposive sampling. The results of the study found four types of Nepenthes spp. in shrub land cover and only one species in secondary forest. The species found is N. ampullaria Jack, N. gracilis Korth, N. mirabilis and N. rafflessiana. Each index of diversity is N. ampullaria Jack 0.1253, N. mirabilis (Lour) Druce 0.1004, N. gracilis Korth 0.0314, N.rafflesiana Jack 0.0105. Nepenthes spp. dispersion index on shrub land cover is group and in secondary forest is uniform. This area is more commonly found Nepenthes spp. and its dominance is higher in bush cover than in secondary forests. Keywords: Nepenthes spp., Secondary forests, Shrubs, Species diversit

This study uses the experimental split plot method with a complete randomized pattern (CRD). Treatment factor as the main plot of media with 2 levels of (cocopeat and cocopeat + husk charcoal 2:1) and subplot with concentration Wood vinegar 3 levels (3%, 3.5% and 4%) with 5 replications. The results showed that the percentage of live of cuttings and the highest rooted percentage was in a combination of treatment with media and 4% wood vinegar concentration with a percentage of live of the cut reaching 100%. Significant treatment increases the length of primary roots and the number of roots found in the growth of thr primary root length is (4.19 cm) in the treatment of cocopeat media and the concentration of 3% wood vinegar can increase the growth of the primary roots length, for the highest average number of primary roots which  is 6.40 also in the same treatment the same is cocopeat media with a dose of 3% wood vinegar. Significant treatment increases thenumber of roots is found in the treatment of secondary root with an average value 33.6 was in the of cocopeat media treatment with 4% wood vinegar dose, while the highest number of leaves with an average 6.60 was in the treatment of  cocopeat + husk charcoal with 4% wood vinegar concentration. Wood vinegar concentration  and the planting média that are most suitable for shoots cuttings are the concentration of wood vinegar 3% and 4% which can be applied to cocopeat media either without or with the addition of husk charcoal. Keywords: Baccaurea bracteata Muell, growth media, shoot cutting, wood vinega
