JENIS TUMBUHAN YANG DIMANFAATKAN SEBAGAI SUMBER PANGAN OLEH MASYARAKAT DESA JAWAI LAUT KECAMATAN JAWAI SELATAN KABUPATEN SAMBAS
The plant's species which used as a food source by humans that contains carbohydrates and can produce energy as a source of protein, vitamins, fats, and minerals. The purposes of this research were to obtain the data of the species of plants used as food sources and also to obtain data on the plant parts and how to process these plants as food sources used in Jawai Laut Village, South Jawai District, Sambas Regency. The data is collected by using a survey method through semi-structured interviews with the respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the research found that 58 species of plants belonging to 30 families. Most of them are in the family of Arecaceae, Solanaceae, Moraceae 4 species. The part used is the fruit of 40 species (56%). The plants used as vegetables, spices, and beverage ingredients. There are 28 species (41%) of plants which used by direct consumption, 35 species (51%) of cooked plants, 3 species (4%) of mashed plants, 3 species (4%) of mined plants, and most of the plants which used are from the fruit group, there are 34 species ( 59%), 12 species of vegetables (21%). Food plants are obtained from the cultivation of 48 species (79%), and wild plants 19 species (30%).Keyword: Food sources, Jawai Laut Village, Plant specie
KEANEKARAGAMAN KANTONG SEMAR (Nepenthes spp) PADA SEMAK BELUKAR DAN AREAL TERBUKA DI KEBUN RAYA SAMBAS KABUPATEN SAMBAS KALIMANTAN BARAT
Sambas Botanical Garden is a conservation forest area that has a high diversity of flora and one of them is the Kantong Semar (Nepenthes spp). Research aims; (1) conducting a study of the species diversity of Kantong Semar (Nepenthes spp) in shrubs and open areas in the Sambas Botanical Garden, (2) Study to changes in the composition of Kantong Semar species (Nepenthes spp) in Sambas Botanical Garden, (3) determining species composition and dominant of kantong semar (Nepenthes spp) that grows in shrubs and open areas. This research was conducted by a survey method in which the laying of observation plots by purposive sampling. The results of the study showed that the species diversity of Kantong Semar (Nepenthes spp) in the Sambas Botanical Garden was a low category with a value of 0.254 in shrubs and an open area of 0.01756. There was a change in the composition of the Kantong Semar species after two years of previous research. The change occurred where two new species of N. xneglecta and N.gracilis Korth that grown in Sambas Botanical Garden. Based on the results of morphological analysis, we found as many as 5 species of Kantong Semar consisting of N. mirabilis (Lour) Druce, N.gracilis Korth, N.ampullaria Jack, N. xneglecta, N. xhookeriana, which grow in shrubs, and N. mirabilis (Lour) in open area. The results of the analysis of the Importance Value Index (INP) that dominant species are N.ampullaria Jack with a value of 107.02 and N. xhookeriana 33.32 where both species of Kantong Semar grown in the shrub area.Keywords: Kantong semar (Nepenthes spp), shrubs and open area, Species diversity
PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN TANAMAN AREN (Arenga pinnata Merr) DI DESA SEKABUK KECAMATAN SADANIANG KABAUPATEN MEMPAWAH
This research is aimed at describing people’s perceptions of utilization sugar palm plants in the village of Sekabuk Sadaniang sub-district, as well as analyzing the relationship of each of the factor of age, knowledge, and income with people’s perceptions of the utilization of palm plants in the village of Sekabuk Saadaniang sub-district. This research uses direct interview technique method with questionnaire tool, determination of respondents carried out by purposive sampling based on slovin formula amounting to 83 respondents, the criteria of respondents in the research are people who live in the village of Sekabuk, people who know about the use of palm trees, at least 15 years old (already married), physically and mentally healthy. Data analysis consisted of community perceptions of the use of palm trees and the relationship between age, knowledge, and income with community perceptions of the use of palm trees in Sekabuk village. Based on the results of data and calculations of the three variables, forage and knowledge categories there is no relationship with community perceptions, while the income category is related to people’s perceptions. The results of the study showed that community perceptions of the utilization of sugar palm plants tended to be positive namely 77 respondents (92,77%), neutral 6 respondents (7,23%), and negative 0 respondents (0,00%). Characteristics of Sekabuk village respondents based on age levels dominated by young and adult levels each of 30 respondents (36,14%). Characteristics of respondents based on the level of knowledge dominated by people with a high level of knowledge of 81 respondents (97,60%), and for the characteristics of respondents based on the level of income dominated with a moderate income level of 65 respondents (79,52%).Keywords: Community perception, Utilization Of Palm Sugar Plant
ETNOZOOLOGI SUKU DAYAK KANAYANT DI DESA TEMAHAR KECAMATAN JELIMPO KABAUPATEN LANDAK
The utilization of protected animals is feared to accelerate the rate of animal extinction if there is no field observation related to the use of animals by the Kanayant Dayak tribe in Temahar village. Related data and animal species, animal parts and circumchations are preliminary indicators to determine the benefits and functions of the animal itself. The method used in this research is the survey method of selecting respondents using the Snowball sampling method, data collection using questionnaire assistance. The results showed the use of animals as much as 16 types. For the ritual of Adat 3 types, treatment 8 types and mystical 5 types. The main parts are meat, bile, fur, heart, blood, kidney, pedals, scales, eggs, liver, and head. Kanayant Dayak people cultivate animal meat for traditional ritual, treatment and mystical by means of cooking gravy and burnt, most people still use traditional equipment to cook and burn meat and for hunting.Keywords: Ethnozoology, Kanayant Dayak, Medicine, Mysticism, Traditional Rituals
ETNOBOTANI BAMBU OLEH MASYARAKAT DI SEKITAR HUTAN DESA LANDAU GARONG KABUPATEN MELAWI
The people of Landau Garong village have a direct relationship with plants in their traditional use (ethnobotany), especially bamboo. Bamboo in the village is very abundant so that many people use it in various needs according to their skills. The purpose of this study was to record and document the types used and find out patterns of utilization of bamboo by the community around the village forest Landau Garong Melawi district. The benefit of this research is to inform the community outside the Landau Garong village about the types of bamboo and their sustainable use patterns by the community around the Landau Garong village forest. This study uses a survey method with data collection techniques using the PRA method. Data obtained through observation and interviews. Data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data. Based on the results in the field, I obtained 6 types of bamboo, namely Gigantochloa hasskarliana, Bambusa vulgaris var.vulgaris, Schizostachyum brachycladum, Schizostachyum flexuosum, Gigantochloa balui dan Gigantochloa levis. There are 6 types of use of bamboo by the community, namely as building materials, craft materials (household crafts and fish trap crafts), food ingredients, traditional ritual materials, agricultural equipment materials, and traditional game materials. KEARIFAN LOKAL SUKU BADUY DALAM PEMANFAATAN MADU SEBAGAI HASIL HUTAN BUKAN KAYU DI DESA KANEKES KECAMATAN LEUWIDAMAR KABUPATEN LEBAK PROVINSI BANTEN
Lots of local wisdom with local people. In other words, local wisdom can be implemented as ideas, values, local views that are wise, full of wisdom, good value, which are embedded and followed by members of the community. Therefore, local wisdom can be defined as noble values contained in local cultural assets, in the form of traditions, ideas, and life motto. The Baduy community in Kanekes Village, Leuwidamar Subdistrict, is one of the tribes in Indonesia which until now still maintains the values of local wisdom that they have and believe in, amidst the advancement of civilization around them. Research on the local wisdom of the Baduy Tribe in Kanekes Village, Leuwidamar Subdistrict, Lebak Regency, Banten Province aims to see the local wisdom of the Baduy Tribe in utilizing forest resources by the Baduy tribe for the sustainable use of non-timber forest products in the form of forest honey. The types of data taken in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from the results of interviews with the community in the Baduy Tribe, Kanekes Village, Leuwidamar District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province, Banten Province. Secondary data were complementary data obtained from references which included general conditions of the location, socio-cultural conditions, activities and others. STUDI HABITAT BUAYA SENYULONG (Tomistoma schlegelii) DI SUNGAI SEKONYER TAMAN NASIONAL TANJUNG PUTING KALIMANTAN TENGAH
Senyulong (Tomistoma schlegelii) are crocodiles that have a unique morphology with shape of the snout in its mouth. This species based on IUCN Red List classified by endangered category (IUCN 2004). This study aim to determine characteristics ofSenyulong Habitat in Sekonyer river, Tanjung Puting National Park Central Kalimantan using by Purposive Sampling in discovery spot or ex crocodile nest, Parameter analyzed by important value index (INP), dominance index (C), index species diversity (H), species abundance index (e), and species similarity index. The results showed the abiotic water habitats in the river water pH 6 which indicated normal, an average of depth 4.5 meters and a water temperature 23.90 ºC. Biotically False Gharial likes the habitat of aquatic plants such as Rasau (Pandanus tectorious), water lily (Hanguana malayana) for sheltering. False gharial aquatic food habitats such as Toman fish (Channa gachua), Gabus (Channa striata) and Runtuk (Channa luchius) Baung (Mystus wyckii), Lais (Lais hexamena). Abiotically terrestrial habitats contain sandy clay texture and histosol soil types with 6 soil acidity, with 78% air humidity and the average temperature of 29ºC. Biologically, Senyulong terrestrial habitat formed by buffer zone with large tree with wide canopy and several types of terrestrial animals Senyulong food such as long-tailed monkeys, orangutans, and wild pigs. The terrestrial habitat of False Gharial is an important place to spawning ground by placing its eggs under a large buttress tree and covering the nest with leaf litter to keep it warm to camouflage egg predators such as to monitor lizards.Keyword: Terrestrial Habitat, Aquatic Habitat, Senyulong, Tanjung puting National Par
PENILAIAN DAYA TARIK OBJEK WISATA PANTAI DI DESA TEMAJUK KECAMATAN PALOH KABUPATEN SAMBAS KALIMANTAN BARAT
Temajuk Beach area is one of the tourism potentials that is not yet known by the wider community, which is located in Temajuk Village, Paloh District, Sambas Regency. Temajuk Beach has great potential when it is used as a tourist spot because the location of Temajuk Beach has beautiful beaches and unspoiled scenery, a lack of government contribution to make the place a tourist attraction. The purpose of the research is to find out the potential of coastal attraction at Temajuk Beach and do an assessment of the potential attractiveness of Temajuk Beach in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan Province, especially for coastal tourism. The study was conducted in Temajuk Village, Paloh Subdistrict, Sambas District for 4 weeks. Based on the results of the study, the appraisal of attractiveness got the highest score of 1013.58 (A) assessment of clean water availability of 780 accessibility scores of 550 (C), and assessment the supporting infrastructure received a score of 720 so that it was included in the medium category (B), the assessment of the socio-economic conditions of the community got a score of 425 so that it was included in the medium category (B), while the accommodation scored the lowest value 180 and included in the category good (A). The assessment of each rating element that has been classified and then summed and gets an average total value of 611.43 from the results obtained when classified with the 2003 ODTWA PHKA development class, Temajuk Beach area gets a value (B) which means Temajuk Beach area good to be developed as a place/tourist attraction.Keyword: Potential of Coastal Ecotourism, Regency of Sambas, Temajuk Beach
STUDI SERANGAN RAYAP PADA TANAMAN AKASIA (Acacia crassicarpa) di lahan HTI PT MUARA SUNGAI LANDAK KABUPATEN MEMPAWAH
Termites are small insects, similar to ants, found in many places, in forests, yards, gardens and even in the house. Termite nests are found in damp places in the soil and wet logs, but some live in dry wood. The main food is wood and materials from cellulose and fungi. The area of work is 13,000 hectares. The basis for the division of land carried out and land use planning PT. Muara Sungai Landak has 2,500 ha of land for planting Acacia Crassicarpa plants. This research was conducted in the RKT 16/17 HTI area of PT Muara Sungai Landak. The study used a field survey method, by laying the first plot using purposive sampling, laying the second plot and so on using systematic sampling. The termite sampling taken in this study was the termite soldier. Termite samples were put in a vial bottle containing 70% alcohol. The analysis used two calculations, namely the calculation of the incidence of attacks and the intensity of the attacks. The results of the study of 46 plots with a total of 2944 trees, found 260 trees with mild attacks, 25 trees with moderate attacks, 9 with severe trees. The type of termite found was Nasutitermes longinasoides and Coptotermes sp. The incidence rate of termite attack occurred in all plots, namely 46 observation plots with the highest attack incidence rate of 21.31% and the highest intensity of attack 47.18%.Keyword: Acacia crassicarpa, Event of Attacks, Intensity of attack, PT Muara Sungai Landak, termite
JENIS-JENIS LUMUT (Bryophyta) DI HUTAN SEKUNDER DESA SEPANDAN KECAMATAN BATANG LUPAR KABUPATEN KAPUAS HULU
Moss is an important pioneer plant that acts as vegetation fillers on deforested land and helps to stabilize eroded soil surfaces. The secondary forest area, Sepandan village is a forest area that is dominated by trees and has a variety of flora and fauna. One of the flora or plants in the forest is various species of mosses. The purpose of this research was to identify species of moss in the Secondary Forest Area of Sepandan Village, Batang Lupar District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. The research was conducted by the survey method and made an observation plot. The observation plot played systematically, and this research was conducted at 3 different heights namely 100, 150 and 200 masl. The results of the research identified that there are 15 types of mosses from 15 families. The species found at this height is Treubia lacunose. Based on the calculation of the presence frequency can be seen that Treubia lacunose was the species most found at the study site with a frequency of 28.12%.Keyword: Identification, Moss, Secondary forest, Sepandan village
