    Exploring Local Potential: The Role of Bangka Village Cultural House in Community Preservation and Empowerment

    This research aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and results of community empowerment through Rumah Budaya Kampung Bangka in Pontianak. The urgency of this research lies in the importance of local culture preservation and community economic development in the midst of modernization. This research highlights the uniqueness of Rumah Budaya Kampung Bangka as a tourist attraction that not only preserves cultural heritage, but also empowers local communities through various programs that involve active participation. The method used in this research is observation and interviews with resource persons, including the manager of the cultural house. The results showed that this cultural house succeeded in increasing community income through the sale of handicraft and culinary products, as well as attracting visitors to learn more about Malay culture. The conclusion of this study confirms that the success of Kampung Bangka Cultural House depends on the collaboration between the government and the community, as well as the need for evaluation and innovation in work programs to ensure sustainability and cultural development in the future. This research is expected to provide insights for other cultural house managers in developing similar program

    BUMDes Management Model in Improving the Community Economy in Sungai Raya Islands District, Bengkayang Regency

    This research has a purposeto describe the BUMDes Management Model in improving the community economy in Sungai Raya Islands District, Bengkayang Regency. This type of qualitative research uses a descriptive approach. Data collection uses observation techniques, interviews with village government officials and business actors from the community and documentation. Informants were determined using purposive and incidental techniques, including the Head of Karimunting Village, the Village Head of Lemungutan Island, and the BUMDes Manager of Karimunting Village and Lemungutan Island as well as the business community. Research analysis was carried out using steps according to Miles and Huberman including: data reduction, data display, and verification/drawing conclusions. The research results show that the BUMDes management model is able to improve the economy of the people of Karimunting village and Lemungutan Island village because there is a new concept that is useful for enriching the existing BUMDes management concept. The new concept is the application of a model development strategyTetrapreneur, asbreakthrough village innovation based on 4 (four pillars) of entrepreneurship, namely: Chainpreneur (Entrepreneurship Chain), Marketpreneur (Entrepreneurial Market), Qualitypreneur (Entrepreneurial Qualities, Brandpreneur (Entrepreneurial Brand)

    The Choreographic Concept of Hasta Sawanda in the "Jepin Laba-laba Dance" of Mempawah Malay Cultural Tradition

    The classification of dance in Indonesia has many kinds, ranging from the form of dance, the origin of the formation of dance to the function of dance in social life. In addition, choreographic concepts related to dance attitudes have also emerged from researchers and traditional dance practitioners, one of which is the concept of hasta sawanda. The concept of hasta sawanda includes pacak, pancat, caterpillar, lulut, luwes, wiled, wirama, and gending. Malay tradition has one of the dances, Jepin Laba-laba Dance, which requires cohesiveness and complexity in the use of its properties. Jepin Laba-laba dance is inspired by spiders making their nests but this dance does not have a story (non-literary), the spider animal is only a reference and reference for making its movements. Descriptive method and data presentation in this study aims to describe the concept of hasta sawanda in Jepin Laba-laba Dance. The results of the analysis can be concluded and found that, there are elements of dance presentation that are directly related to the concept of hasta sawanda. Awareness of the attitude and also the process of exploring a dance is very influential on the appearance of dancers when on stage

    Application of Class-Based Characteristic Economic Teaching Materials for High School Students in Singkawang City

    This research uses a Design Based Research (DBR) approach to develop and test Economics teaching materials with the dimension of strengthening character education for high school students in Singkawang City. The aim of this research is to produce teaching materials that not only increase understanding of economic material, but also help students internalize character values that are relevant to social, cultural and economic change. The problem faced is how to create effective and relevant teaching materials in the context of ongoing changes. The method used includes field trials with an experimental design, where the teacher applies the developed teaching materials in the learning process. The test subjects were high school students in Singkawang City, with data collected through observation and tests. Data analysis uses qualitative analysis for the field test implementation process and the Wilcoxon Test to determine the effectiveness of teaching material products. Specific results showed significant improvements in student learning outcomes, with an average pre-test score of 43.63 increasing to 55.35 in the post-test. In general, the results of this research show that teaching materials with character are effective in improving economic learning outcomes and shaping the character of students. In conclusion, the application of economic teaching materials based on strengthening character education can prepare students to become the golden generation of 2045 who excel in skills, competence and character

    The Influence of Using the Power Point Media Trigger Feature on the Learning Motivation of Class VIII Students at SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli

    Motivation is one of the things that influences student learning success. Without motivation, the learning process will be difficult to achieve success. This research aims to determine the effect of using the Trigger feature of Power Point media on the learning motivation of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli. This researcher used a type of quantitative research. The method used in this research was the Pre Experiment or experimental research method, the research subjects were students at SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli class VIII. The instruments in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation. As for the results of this research, there is a positive and significant influence. Based on the data that has been collected and tests that have been carried out using product moment correlation from the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program, the average calculated R value is > R Table based on test results significance 0.5. The correlation coefficient value (calculated r) for each variable shows that the correlation value between the item scores and the total item score for the 6 questions has a correlation value that is greater than the correlation value of the r table at a significance level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom df (N-K)/30-2 =28). So the results can be concluded that there is a difference in the average results of student learning motivation between the learning model using power point media with trigger features and the conventional model

    Community Participation as a Form of Power Distribution in the Management of Bukit Tuamese Tourism Objects

    Tuamese Hill is a tourism object in Tuamese Village, Biboki Anleu District, North Central Timor Regency, NTT. This study aims to analyze the participation of the Tuamese Village community in managing the tourism object, using the Participatory Typology Framework proposed by Arnstein (1969). This qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach was conducted in May-August 2022. The results showed that community participation in the management of the Tuamese Hill was at the top level, which represented the ideal form of community participation, namely Citizen Power, with the type of Delegated Power and Citizen Controls. Meanwhile, the most important inhibiting factor for community participation in the management of Bukit Tuamese is the absence of formal legal rules at the village level to ensure inclusive community participation. This condition is exacerbated by the lack of awareness about the importance of these formal legal rules, especially to provide a basis for authority and opportunities for managing and utilizing the results of inclusive tourism objects, and for obtaining contributions from tourism objects for Village Original Income (PAD)

    Application of Reading Strategy as an Effort to Develop a Confident Attitude of K1 Private School Students in Daan Mogot from a Biblical Point of View

    The research is to enhance the self-confidence of K1 students at Daan Mogot Private School through the implementation of reading strategies. The low level of students' self-confidence negatively impacts their participation. This research is important because self-confidence is a key factor in academic success and student character development. The research method is a descriptive qualitative approach, which involves participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers, and document studies. The research results show that the application of reading strategies has a significant positive impact on the increase in students' self-confidence. Before the implementation of the strategy, only 9% of students showed high confidence. However, after the implementation, 63% of students began actively asking and answering questions, reflecting a substantial increase in student confidence. Reading strategies not only enhance students' academic abilities but also contribute to the development of their character and self-confidence. Thus, the implementation of reading strategies based on biblical values can be an effective solution to address the issue of low self-confidence among K1 students, as well as support them in facing future challenges. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educators in designing more effective learning methods that focus on the character development of students

    This research aims to determine the factors that cause mothers in the city of Pontianak to live a hedonistic lifestyle by using gold plated or imitation gold. The approach used in the research is qualitative. The method used in the research is descriptive qualitative. The sampling technique in this research used a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of four women who used gold plating. Data collection techniques in this research used observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used in this research is the Miles and Huberman interaction data analysis technique which consists of data reduction, data presentation and verification. The research results show that gold plated is used by mothers in the city of Pontianak because the price is cheap compared to pure gold sold on the market. Gold plating is chosen by mothers because it has a variety of models. Gilded gold is used by mothers in the city of Pontianak as a form of self-existence in social interactions

    Haul Solo Tradition: Structural-Functional Analysis for the Harmonization of Multicultural Society in Surakarta

    This research focuses on the Haul Solo tradition, an annual cultural event that has been celebrated for hundreds of years. The tradition has become a defining characteristic of the city of Surakarta, particularly among the people of Kampung Arab. The aim of this study is to explore the congregation's interpretation of the Haul Solo tradition, the role of societal elements within it, and their function in maintaining social harmony. This study employs a qualitative approach with an ethnographic methodology. The data was collected through ethnographic interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The implementation of the Haul Solo tradition is closely tied to the roles of various societal elements, including family descendants, close relatives, santri, local government, and local society. Each element's role is adjusted according to their social status. By collaborating effectively, the multicultural structure of society is strengthened. The Haul Solo tradition serves not only as a commemoration of the death anniversary of Habib Ali Al-Habsyi, but also as a means of preserving and maintaining harmony within a multicultural society.     The diversity in Indonesian society, which is expected to be a capital of wealth, is quite inversely proportional to the current reality. Weak multicultural understanding accompanied by massive information dissemination, diversity in society sometimes becomes one of the background causes of conflict that is influenced by understanding and ability to respond to existing diversity. Through multicultural literacy in sociology learning, it is expected to strengthen understanding and have implications for a harmonious life. So this study aims to describe how the internalization of multicultural literacy through sociology learning in realizing a harmonious society. This research uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method. This research is conducted by the process of collecting, processing and interpreting data. This research reveals that multicultural literacy can strengthen people's understanding so that it can have implications for a harmonious life. Considering that education is the right medium in internalizing multicultural literacy, then through learning sociology, multicultural literacy can strengthen students' understanding so that they can participate in building a harmonious life
