    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the business cycle synchronization (BCS) between Indonesia and 14 Middle Eastern countries and its determinants. The BCS was measured using BCS Index. The panel data was analysed using Feasible General Least Square with estimated coefficients. The results show that the Indonesia-Middle East BCS is strong in terms of index and trend. Trade openness positively and significantly affects the BCS. This study provides evidence for the endogeneity of trade relations and the BCS. Price factors, such as inflation and exchange rates, are more difficult to forecast. This information allows stakeholders to promote Indonesia’s open trade policies and liberalization in the Middle East. This study proposes an update for how Indonesia and Middle East have benefited from the openness of trade and investment that exists between them. The BCS indices and trends in the two regions are important sources for expanding their economic partnership.JEL: E32, F13, N95, C33

    Get PDF
Indonesia's foreign debt presents a dilemma for the government because, on the one hand, repayment of maturing loans has become a burden in the government budget as an expense item that must be considered. Loans, on the other hand, are a source of government revenue that can be used to close the budget deficit. Economic variables are the focus of this research. The type of research is associative descriptive research, with secondary data acquired from relevant institutions and agencies from 208 to 2020 and evaluated using descriptive and time series analysis. The results showed that the Rupiah exchange rate had a significant effect on the development of Indonesia's foreign debt. This conclusion implies that the government must stabilize the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar in order to avoid the debt burden and interest payments being incurred and the occurrence of an economic crisis in the future. The public should utilize the government's jobless relief program. The higher the level of tax compliance from taxpayers, the higher state revenues and the ability to pay debts

This study aimed to analyze factors that could influence continuous usage intention on freemium applications and purchase intention of premium services among students. Non-probability purposive sampling was used to determine the respondent. The criteria for the sample for this study were students who used freemium applications. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square. The results confirmed that only reliability and responsiveness positively impacted customer satisfaction among the service quality dimensions, while assurance and empathy showed no effect. Only assurance and responsiveness were found to affect continuous usage intention positively, while empathy and reliability were found to have no effect. There was no evidence of the effect of the dimensions of service quality on purchase intention. Perceived value failed to moderate the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction. While there was a significant positive impact of customer satisfaction towards continuous usage intention, no effect has been found towards purchase intention. Continuous usage intention was confirmed to have a positive impact on purchase intention.JEL: O32, M31, L11ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi continuous usage intention dan purchase intention pada aplikasi yang memiliki layanan premium pada mahasiswa. The study used a causal associative method with a quantitative approach. The sample used was 250 respondents from Muslim millennials throughout Indonesia and had consumed snacks. The hypothesis was tested using a Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the test results, it is known that halal awareness and perceived quality affect brand image and purchasing decisions. The brand image was found to mediate the variables of halal awareness and perceived quality of purchasing decisions. The implication of this research for marketers and producers of snack foods is as input in designing a more appropriate marketing strategy supported by Muslim millennial halal awareness.JEL : E24, E220, I25
