Informal Methods for Improving Students\u27 Senior High School Arabic Language Skills
This study aims to improve the Arabic speaking skill of students in class XI MIA 4 MA Al-Ittihad Belung, Poncokusumo. This study is an experiment of an informal method used in Arabic to improve students\u27 Arabic speaking skills. This research is quantitative. This type of research is a pre-experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test design method. The research instruments used were observation and interviews. Data collection techniques used interview tests in the form of pre-tests and posttests. The paired sample t test was used to analyze the research data. The result of the t test statistic is 0.001 < 0.05, then is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test conducted. In this case, it can be said that learning Arabic with informal methods can help students improve their ability to speak Arabic at MA Al-Ittihad Belung, Poncokusumo, Malang
Strategies of Arabic Students\u27 Self-Regulated Learning Improvement in Language Proficiency in The Disruption Era
This study aimed to develop strategies to improve students\u27 Self-Regulated Learning in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at Universitas Islam Riau in the Arabic language proficiency course in the disruption era. This research is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The data collection technique for the qualitative method in this study used several designs; the Interview Technique, Documentation, and Literature Study. The systematics of strategy development refers to five stages according to Hariadi’s theory. This study shows the results of several strategies to improve Self-Regulated Learning for Arabic Language Education students at the Universitas Islam Riau for language proficiency courses; 1) Creation of environmental Arabic (Bîʾah Luġawiyyah), 2) monitoring and evaluation stages of the use of Arabic as a language of instruction lectures, 3) Coordination in the formulation of Semester Lesson Plan, 4) Orienting the religious subjects as subjects of knowledge and proficiency in the same time, 5) Motivation in competing, 6) Award Programs for student achievement, 7) Guidance lecturer in competing
Implementation of Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) in Nahwu Learning: Identification of Student Ability Characteristics
Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) is used as a learning method that treats differences in student abilities; this is considered appropriate for Nahwu learning. The purpose of this study is to elaborate on Nahwu\u27s learning activities using Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) through the involvement of lecturers and students. This study uses a qualitative approach; the participants are non-Arabic speaking Nahwu students in Indonesia, totaling 40 students. Data collection techniques are using observation, structured interviews, and using questionnaires. The results showed that there were implications for the use of Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) in learning motivation, as indicated by an increase in scores on the evaluation of students\u27 Nahwu understanding abilities and perceptions that showed a good assessment of this method. The recommendation of this research is the preparation of teaching materials based on Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) for Nahwu learning that can be done at universities in Indonesia
Analysis of Language Errors Syntactic Review for the Tarkîb Washfî Category in the Student Thesis
This study aims to discover the mistakes in understanding and using Arabic grammatical rules, especially in the syntactic review of the as-shîfah wa al-maushûf category in the Arabic education student thesis (PBA). The research object is only limited to the discussion chapter, which results from the author\u27s ideas and expressions as outlined in Arabic writing. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with content analysis, which aims to examine, describe and evaluate the language errors of S1 PBA students at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University for 2020-2021. The results show that the most errors at the as-shîfah wa al-maushûf occur in the mudzakkar wa mu\u27annats rule than the rule nakirah wa ma\u27rifah. Factors that cause errors occur due to a lack of mastery of language and writing rules and the absence of intensive writing practice. The solution offered is to train to write intensively and explore the knowledge needed to support the writing skills (mahârah al-kitâbah)
Praxeology Concept: Investigating the Actions of Primary School Teachers in Achieving Arabic Teaching
This study presents the results of an investigation of Arabic teachers\u27 actions at the primary school level in achieving the objectives of teaching and learning Arabic. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with two data collection techniques: observations and interviews. The collected data then were analyzed using a didactic anthropological theory based on three main components: the teachers\u27 desire (want) to act, the means or methods used by the teachers, and the results or objectives (end) achieved by the teacher\u27s actions. The results of this study showed that first, Arabic teachers had a strong desire to overcome the problems faced by the students, especially in the demotivating aspect of studying Arabic. Second, from the results of those desires, the Arabic teachers determined and used several methods such as presenting the materials using songs, cartoon videos and integrating Islamic religious knowledge. Third, the actions or methods used by the Arabic teachers resulted in positive outcomes in teaching and learning Arabic for students at the primary school level
Tashmîm Manhaj Ta’lîm al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyah fî Qism al-Mashrafiyah al-Islâmiyah fî Jâmi’ah STEBANK al-Islâmiyah
The Arabic language learning curriculum in universities in Islamic Banking Study Program of STEBANK follows the institution\u27s curriculum. The study program formulates its curriculum in addition to being based on the KKNI formulation also based on needs and environmental analysis, then from these formulations various competency standards that must be mastered will be produced in order to reflect competence of graduates according to the curriculum, the study program imposes the burden on Arabic language learning to master certain Arabic language skills that support graduate competence. The research method used is qualitative approach. The data collection technique is documentation, while the purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the use of the Arabic curriculum in the Islamic banking study program STEBANK, tertiary institution. The Arabic language curriculum in this program is designed so that students are able to master the basic elements of Arabic and are able to master the elements of Arabic skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing in the fields of Muamalah and Islamic Economics
The Suitability of Visual Images in Baina Yadaik Arabic Textbook
This study was brought up due to 308 mismatches of images with the written vocabulary in the Baina Yadaik Arabic textbook. This research focused on the compatibility of visual images with written vocabulary. The object used was 1386 images in 8 chapters of the Baina Yadaik Arabic textbook volume 1A. Baina Yadaik Arabic book is an Arabic learning book used to help learners learn everyday vocabulary for beginners. This research used the visual representational mode theory by Kress and Van Leeuwen. The methodology of this study was a descriptive qualitative with multimodal discourse analysis. The VGG Image Annotator corpus tools assisted this research to analyze images with written vocabulary. This study concluded that visual images are one of the essential components of learning Arabic. Many images in Baina Yadaik Arabic textbook volume 1A do not match the written vocabulary. This book still adheres to Arabic culture, which is very different from the culture in Indonesia, and needs special attention for teacher to use this book as a learning tool
The Grammatical Deviations in The Arabic Debate Competition in Indonesia
This study aimed to describe the form of Arabic grammatical errors that occur in the Arabic debate competition in Indonesia both off-line and on-line, the factors, the impact, and solutions for grammatical errors. The material object of this research was the video of the Arabic debate competition in Indonesia. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach to grammatical errors in the video of the Arabic debate competition in Indonesia. The results showed that 29 grammatical errors were found in syntax errors and 18 morphological errors. From the 47 errors found, the factors were inter-language errors or interference and intra-language errors. These factors have an impact on changing the meaning of a sentence and also have an impact on misunderstanding communication between speakers. The solutions offered to improve and reduce the error are the need for good preparation in syntactic and morphological aspects for debaters before competing, conducting intensive training, and increasing seriousness in exploring and understanding Arabic debate
Social Reality-Based Arabic Language Learning in Islamic Senior High School
Social reality is an interesting issue in Arabic learning in madrasas because students can connect the subject matter with the phenomenon in the community. The purpose of this study was to analyze the success of MA Sirojut Tholibin Bacem Sutojayan Blitar in implementing social reality-based Arabic learning. It is qualitative research with an exploratory approach and phenomenological analysis. This study used the theory of social reality initiated by Paul Ricoeur (in 1973). The principal of Paul Ricoeur said that human actions in social reality are symbols of language, while these symbols invite certain thoughts and interpretations. The results of this study indicated that MA Sirojut Tholibin had succeeded in implementing social reality-based Arabic learning. The students’ Arabic language competence is increasing through social reality approaches such as learning ethics, juvenile delinquency, and the influence of social media. The learning media used included news articles, newspapers, websites, and scientific articles
Utilizing Technology to Improve the Quality of Learning in Indonesia: Challenges and Consequences for Arabic Teachers
Islamic boarding schools are identical to traditional learning because they ignore and do not respond to technological developments. This study aims to describe the media used in Islamic boarding schools in teaching Arabic, teachers\u27 perceptions of technology-based media, and opportunities to change the media used in Arabic learning in Islamic boarding schools. This study was conducted with a qualitative approach in Islamic boarding schools where students were selected according to their needs. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on the results, the Batang Kabung Islamic Boarding School used traditional learning media. However, there are open opportunities to apply technology-based media because of the openness of pesantren in accepting changes with an internet connection, human resources for education staff, and students\u27 ability to operate technology-based learning media. The consequences faced by Islamic boarding schools are curriculum revisions, more operational costs, adjustment of methods with learning media, and the need to improve teacher competencies in utilizing technology-based media
