    WACANA NARATIF KEHIDUPAN NABI ISA DALAM AL-QURʼAN

    The Holy Quran contains the faith, worship, Islamic morals, history, promises and threats, and information about Hereafter (eschatology). The narrative style of the Quran is less systematic and intact except the narration of the Prophet Yusuf (Surah Yusuf [12]: 1-111). This paper narrates the verses of the Quran about Prophet Isa\u27s life since his birth, prophetness, until death. The aim is to reconstruct narrative discourse of Prophet Isa\u27s life as a systematical text. The method used is content analysis through verses related analysis in order to classify the meaning and connect the verses with other verses into a systematize form, a unified narrative and chronological discourse. DOI: 10.15408/a.v1i1.113

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa PBA UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta tentang kaidah qashr dan penerapannya pada ayat-ayat pendidikan serta mengetahui materi qashr yang perlu dikuatkan. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa jurusan PBA UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta semester 5 tahun ajaran 2013-2014. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara: wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh hasil penelitian berikut. Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami kaidah qashr dinyatakan baik dengan rata-rata nilai tes 70,69. Kemampuan mahasiswa menerapkan kaidah qashr dalam ayat al-Qurʼan juga dinyatakan baik dengan rata-rata nilai tes 70,44. Mean rata-rata nilai tes adalah 70,56. Berdasarkan hasil tes, materi “qashr al-shifah ‘alâ al-maushûf dan qahsr al-maushûf ‘alâ al-shifah” perlu dikuatkan lagi dalam pembelajaran. DOI: 10.15408/a.v1i1.1123

    Social constructivism, which is often called Vygotsky’s constructivist theory, is the latest teaching and learning approach which emphasizes on the importance of culture and social context or social interaction for knowledge development. Social constructivists view learning not only as individual process but also as a social process. Guided with social constructivism, this article aims to discuss its application in reading teaching. The implication of the models of learning recommended based on social constructivism are collaborative learning, cooperative learning, peer-scaffolding, reciprocal teaching, and contextual learning. DOI: 10.15408/a.v1i2.114
