    An Analysis of Qira’ah Textbooks for Islamic Senior Highschool: A Religious Moderation Perspective

    Learning at Islamic schools functions to strengthen the values of religious moderation for students, so the selection of materials for all learning topics must support the transformation of religious moderation values, including in learning Arabic. This study aims to analyze the Arabic Maharah al-Qira’ah textbooks at Madrasa Aliyah (MA), which contain values of religious moderation. This study follows a qualitative-descriptive method. Data was collected using the content analysis method. The content analysis method is used to look at the constancy of the text content and the meaning of the contents of the Arabic Maharah al-Qira’ah textbooks at MA. The findings of this study indicate that the Arabic Qira’ah textbooks at MA contain religious moderation values including; national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and accommodation of local culture. The implications of this study are first, as an auto-corrective for Arabic textbook writers, and second, so that Arabic teachers can reinforce the values of religious moderation to students, both in the form of illustrations and by giving concrete examples in daily behavior

    Semantic Analysis of Poetry in Ibnu Katsir\u27s Exegesis and Its Learning in Islamic Boarding School

    This study explores the utilization of poetry in Ibn Katsir\u27s tafsir riwayah and its instructional methods at Miftahul Huda Manonjaya Islamic boarding school in Tasikmalaya. Employing a qualitative approach, precisely the analytical descriptive research method, the research delves into integrating poetry in Ibn Katsir\u27s exegesis and its pedagogical implementation in the mentioned Islamic boarding school. The findings reveal that Ibn Katsir employed poetry to interpret one hundred and eleven verses, highlighting the substantial role of poetic expression in his approach to tafsir riwayah. The study categorizes Tafsir learning at the pesantren into formal and non-formal learning. Seven formal learning methods are identified: lecture, question and answer sessions, demonstration, drill, problem-solving activities, recitation, and discussions. Simultaneously, non-formal learning comprises five methods: wetonan (traditional Javanese calendar-based activities), sorogan (group recitation), muhawarah (dialogue), mudzakarah (group discussion), and majlis ta\u27lim (religious study sessions). In conclusion, this study contributes to understanding poetry\u27s role in Ibn Katsir\u27s tafsir riwayah. It elucidates the diverse instructional methods applied in Tafsir learning at Miftahul Huda Manonjaya Islamic boarding school. Integrating formal and non-formal methods underscores the comprehensive educational approaches to impart Islamic knowledge in the pesantren environment. Recommendations for future research include exploring the impact of specific poetic elements on students\u27 learning outcomes and evaluating the effectiveness of integrating technology into Tafsir teaching at Islamic boarding schools

    Teachers’ Understanding of Psycholinguistic and Its Relation to Arabic Teaching Method in Modern Pesantren

    To enhance the quality of language learning, one should be able to deliver the material in the most effective and suitable method. This research aims to determine the relationship between psycholinguistics and learning methods. Psycholinguistics is an applied language science that plays a prominent role in planning language teaching. The implications of psycholinguistics are seen in the teacher\u27s ability to manage teaching with learning methods, curriculum implementation, and selection of teaching materials. Psycholinguistics in the curriculum provides the basics for teachers in formulating objectives for teaching. The method in this research uses a quantitative type of research to determine the relationship between psycholinguistics and language learning methods. The results of the research show that the sig value is 0.000 <0.05, which indicates that there is a positive relationship between psycholinguistics and learning methods

    This research comprehensively describes implementing the "Whoop it Up" strategy in Arabic language learning integrated with the AIR model (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) Learning Model in Arabic Language Learning at MTs Bilingual NU Pucang. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through detailed observation and analysis, enhancing active student engagement, peer interaction, and reflection on the learning material. Within the AIR model, Arabic language learning goes beyond a passive process, involving students actively in language use, encouraging peer interaction, and fostering reflection on their understanding of the material. The combination of these two approaches offers diverse advantages. It can create a more engaging and interactive learning experience. At the same time, the AIR model provides additional structure and resources to support student understanding to create a dynamic learning environment, motivating students to participate actively and providing a holistic learning experience in comprehending and using the Arabic language. This research contributes valuable insights to develop innovative and effective teaching methods in the context of Arabic language learning

    Analysis of Arabic Teaching Books Class X with Praxeology Approach

    This study aims to determine whether the material for specialization Arabic textbooks published by the Directorate KSKK the Ministry of Religion Affairs is interactive and can be used for high school level students and their relevance to student abilities. The research method used in this research is a qualitative-descriptive method with a literature study design. There is two technique collection; primary sources in the form of Arabic textbooks for class X published by the Directorate KSKK the Ministry of Religion Affairs, and secondary sources in the form of books and journals relevant to related topics. From the results of the analysis carried out, it was concluded that this book was not deemed feasible and suitable for use by students as teaching materials that could support the achievement of the objectives of learning Arabic, both in terms of theory and practice. So it is necessary to make improvements, in terms of content. Hopefully, these findings can become a reference and have positive implications in correcting existing deficiencies

    Analyzing Spelling Errors and Benefiting from Them to Develop A Spelling Exercise Booklet Based on Constructivist Theory

    This study aims to describe the common Imla errors in Arabic writing and the development of Imla textbooks based on constructivist theory. This research used the qualitative method and R&D method in terms of Brog and Gall. The results of this research and development are Spelling errors with a total of 403 errors, consisting of writing errors in hamzah qath\u27i and washl, alif, and lam, ta\u27 marbuthah, hamzah in the middle and at the end of words, long sounds, connecting hijaiyyah letters, connecting words. developed is a book for teaching Imla\u27 based on constructivism theory, and the learning process focuses on exploration, clarification, and application activities. The validity of Imla\u27s textbook is the result of expert validation. The overall quality of the book is "very good". The results of this study indicate that constructivist theory is suitable for teaching Imla\u27 to beginners by presenting exploration at the beginning of learning, clarification in core activities, and application at the end of learning

    Feasibility Study of Integrated Arabic Bilingual Book at Islamic Elementary School

    The book “I Love Arabic” is a learning resource used in Arabic lessons for Class IV Dâr El-Iman Islamic Elementary School in Padang. This book is based on a bilingual system, namely by presenting Arabic and English study materials. This bilingual Arabic book is still a new category, so the content and presentation of the material need to be analyzed for its feasibility and suitability aspects with the character of bilingual books and the demands of the applicable curriculum. This study aims to analyze the bilingual book from the perspective of the feasibility of its content and presentation. This library research used a qualitative approach with secondary data. The main reference used the Bilingual Book “I Love Arabic & English” Class IV Dâr El-Iman Padang textbooks and other relevant additional references. Data was collected through recording documentation in observation and content analysis. The data analysis technique used follows Miles and Huberman. The results identified: First, the content qualifications of the bilingual book “I Love Arabic & English” Class IV published by Dâr el-Iman are in the very proper category with a score of 75%. Second, the presentation of the material is in a feasible category with a percentage score of 65%. This book still needs to be refined to suit the character of a bilingual-based textbook

    The Study of Translation Ideology and Its Accuracy in Qur\u27anic Vocabulary for Women

    Gender issues have garnered considerable attention from researchers, women\u27s campaigners, and society at large. The perspectives held by individuals are grounded on cultural, religious, and ideological frameworks. The religious perspectives, such as those rooted in Islam, draw upon the Qur’an and its translation as primary source. The comprehension of translation is purportedly intricately linked to the underlying ideology that informs the translation process. This study aimed to offer a formulation of ideology that may be utilized to sustain the notion of gender as shown in the translated text. In order to accomplish this objective, an analysis was conducted on the translation of Quranic verses that encompass words pertaining to women, specifically al-umm, al-wālidah, az-zauj, al-\u27imra`ah, an-nisa`, an-niswah, and al-untsa, employing a series of steps. Those steps were examining the translation technique, identifying the underlying ideology associated with the technique, evaluating the accuracy of the conveyed meaning, engaging in a discussion, and formulating a conclusion. Moreover, this study included the cumulative sum of the seven terms amounted to 146 units, which were extracted from The Qur’an and Its Translation as published by the Ministry of Religion. The findings of this study indicate that gender concepts are translated in a literal manner. This approach demonstrates the adoption of the foreignization ideology in translation, which prioritizes the source language and the precise conveyance of its meaning. The utilization of the idea is further reinforced by the assertion that the seven terms are faithfully translated, except for the term imra\u27ah, which is rendered as wife, a translation that is deemed to be inaccurate

    Investigating The Arabic Teachers Efficacy to Become a Driving Teacher

    This study aims to investigate the efficacy aspects of Central Kalimantan Arabic teachers, such as level, strength, and generality to become a driving teacher. This study used a mixed method by combining qualitative and quantitative designs (concurrent triangulation) by recruiting 19 (nineteen) Arabic teachers at Madrasah Aliyah level from several districts/cities in Central Kalimantan province, Indonesia. The results of this study indicated that the three aspects of the Arabic teachers already have high self-efficacy to become a driving teacher with an average score of 3.79. This is based on their enthusiasm to learn how to use IT in the teaching process and their ability to instill character education and be able to be flexible in dealing with diverse student behavior. However, some difficulties arise from aspects of strength such as difficulties in reflecting and evaluating student-centered learning outcomes and involving the students’ parents

    Techniques and Quality Translation of Interrogative Sentence Dubbing: English-Indonesian and English-Arabic in The Cartoon Movie

    This article aims to describe the types of interrogative sentences in The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on The Run, translation techniques, and the quality of the translation results. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are as follows: Based on the translation, interrogative sentences are divided into two types: translations without a shift of 137 data and translations with a shift of 20 data. In this research, it was found that 16 of the 18 translation techniques in the Molina & Albir version were dominated by common equivalent techniques, namely 187 data (41%) in TL 1 and 245 data (46%) in TL 2. Of the 157 data, 113 quality data were found in English-Indonesian dubbing with a score of 2.73 and 115 data in English-Arabic with a score of 2.69. So, the quality results of the dubbing translation of English-Indonesian and English-Arabic question sentences are included in the excellent category. It can be concluded that shifts and translation techniques influence the results of translation quality
