Abstract:Environmental condition and natural resources in Indonesia have been degraded, both in quality and quantity. One of the causes are mining activities. The TTS mining has been commonplace since2003. Damage due to mining impacts on land degradation, reduction in the quantity and quality of water,loss of natural habitat loss and climate change of micro and macro. PENERAPAN BLENDED LEARNING MELALUI LESSON STUDY PADA MATAPELAJARAN BIOLOGI
Abstract: This research aims to know:(1) implementation of BL through LS, (2) implementation of BL through PPL based on LS in improving biology learning motivation of students, (3) implementation of BL through PPL based on LS in improving biology learning outcome of students, and (4) students perception about BL. This research is action research, done in collaborate between teacher and college student, designed for 12 cycles and every cycle consist of three steps (plan, do, see). Data collection techniques are through observation, given angket, LS documentation, and written test. Data analyzed is descriptive qualitative. Research result shows that:(1) standard the percentage of BL implementation is very good (85,96%),(2) biology learning motivation of VII grade students increased 13,57%, (3) diligence of student learning outcomeincreased 10,2%, and (4) perception of VII grade students about BL is very good (83,98%).
THE DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAMIC BIOETHICS COURSE AT THE STATE ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY
Abstrak: Bioetika muncul sebagai sebuah ilmu baru dalam pendidikan biologi yang berfungsi sebagai sebuah forum diskusi mengenai nilai etika dan moral berkaitan dengan masalah-masalah yang muncul akibat perkembangan ilmu biologi. Di UIN Sunan Kalijaga, bioetik diajarkan sejak 2007 untuk membekali mahasiswa dari Program Studi Biologi dan Pendidikan Biologi dengan keterampilan dan ilmu pengetahuan tentang bagaimana memecahkan secara etis persoalan dan isu-isu yang muncul di bidang biologi dan bioteknologi. Sejak 2007, bioetik di UIN Sunan Kalijaga telah didesain untuk mengakomodasi isu biologi yang dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai keislaman, dan tidak terlalu fokus pada isu-isu kedokteran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan refleksi dan evaluasi terhadap matakuliah bioetik di UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This research was held in Public Senior High School 1 Lawang with the research’s sample is students of class XI IA 1 and XI IA4 as experiment classes and students of class XI IA 2 and XI IA3 as control classes. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pre test-post test nonequivalent group design. This research shows that there is a different cognitive study result which is significant between students used interactive CD through study cycle with those who got learning through conventional strategy

Abstract: Learning biology as a study in the development of science requires learning appropriate stra-tegies so that students have the competencies that should bepossessed. Empowerment metacognition skills in learning biology is an important skill that is applied to the students in order to train the intellect and increase their knowledge. Empowerment metacognition skills can be acquired through the application of learning strategies PQ4R. This learning strategies help students to undertake a series of activities that aim to train students to thinkempowerment. Metacognition skills possessed students will give strength to the process of long-term memory storage or retention so that students can last a long time which will help further the process of learning and acquiring biology learning achievement in accordance with the competencies students should have
