KAJIAN EX POST FACTO KEPROFESIONALAN GURU TENTANG LABORATORIUM BIOLOGI
Abstract: The purposeof thisresearchare: (1) to describe an effect of factors on educational background, training experience, working load, teaching experience, and teacher’s cognitive competence toward the professionalism of senior high school biology teachers about the laboratory, and (2) to decribewhich one of thisfactors has the most significant effect toward the professionalism of senior high school biology teachers about the laboratory.This research is causal correlation using Ex post facto approach. The result of the research was: (1) there is a sufficient and very significant effect of factors on educational background, training experience, working load, teaching experience, and teacher’s cognitive competence toward the professionalism of senior high school biology teachers about the laboratory in the district of Aceh Besar, and (2) the most significant effect toward the professionalism of senior high school biology teachers about the laboratory is teacher’s cognitive competence
BELAJAR BIOLOGI DENGAN MODEL GROUP INVESTIGATION BERBASIS CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING
Abstract: The implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) based Group Investigation (GI) was done to improve the scientific skills and biology learning outcomes of class XI IPA2 students in SMAN 10 Malang. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles. The result shows that the completeness percentage of scientific skills among students has increased from the first cycle (58%) to cycle II (95%). The increase was also seen in the mean of scientific skills of students from the first cycle (72) to cycle II (80). The completeness percentage of biology learning outcomes also increased from the first cycle (92%) to cycle II (95%).The mean results of biology learning outcomes also increased from the first cycle (80) to cycle II (84). Based on the results it can be concluded that the implementation of CTL based GI can improve the students’ scientific skills and biology learning outcomes.

Abstract: Government Regulation number 70 of 2007 regulate energy conversion and energy generation from organic materials to biogas. Kutuh village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency has the potency to develop alternative energy generated from cow dung. The weakness of Kutuh human resources had great influence on people unwilingness to aceept any change. In this connection klian adat and klian dinas would have an important role to improve human resources quality by community-based education related to a simple biogas application learning. Direct instruction, group discussion and method of demonstrations are really important means to support learning process. PEMANFAATAN SECARA LESTARI KAWASAN PERAIRAN PANTAI KRAKAL SEBAGAI SARANA PEMBELAJARAN
Abstract: Krakal Beach located on Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Administrative of Yogyakarta as a tourism place has various kinds of marine organisms. Marine organism had been used by the people as food, souvenir, research object, and source of learning. The utilization of marine organisms not considering the environmental effect will decline quality and quantity of the environment. The Krakal Beach is influenced by the natural factors and human activites, therefore the use of marine organisms should take note of environmental carryng capacity. The conservation of Krakal Beach should need cooperative work of various organizations related to the people endeavor. The participation of the people in managing the beach is believed having bigger potency to improve people attitude and behaviour related to the utilization of Krakal Beach environment
STRATEGI COOPERATIVE SCRIPT, KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS, KETERAMPILAN METAKOGNITIF, DAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF BIOLOGI
Abstract: The purpose of this study was: (1) to determine the effect of learning strategies and academic ability on critical thinking skills , metacognitive skills , and cognitive abilities in biology, and (2) to determine the effect of the interaction between learning strategies and academic ability on critical thinking skills , metacognitive skills , and cognitive abilities in biology. This study was conducted with a quasi-experimental design in early March to early June 2007. Data analysis was performed with the Anacova statistic. The result of stuty was: Cooperative Script strategy is better than Multi Model strategy in its relation with critical thinking skills. Cooperative Script strategy is no better than Multi Model strategy in its relation with metacognitive skills. Cooperative Script is no better than Multi Model strategy on Excretion System lesson, but better on the Reproductive System lesson
ANGDISK: MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN TAKSONOMI TUMBUHAN
Abstract: Angdisk is an instructional media that is developed based on a learning magic disk. The disk isused to help students in learning plant taxonomy, especially angiosperms. This study uses a proceduraldevelopment model of ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Subject ofthis research includes 20 undergraduate students of Biology Education Program at the University ofJambi. Data were obtained through semi-structured and closed questionnaires then analyzed qualitativ elyand quantitatively. The results of media and plant taxonomy experts assesment was 77.5 and 57.5 respectively; both are categorized as good. Abstract: This research aims to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes through the implementation of the Integrated Science teaching materials with guided inquiry learning strategies at VII class SMPN I Singosari. This is a classroom action research in 2 cycles, each cycle consists of 3 meetings. The results showed an increase in classical mastery learning covering: (1) students’ critical thinking skills. (2) cognitive learning outcomes (3) affective learning outcomes. (4) psychomotor learning outcomes for the aspects of the discussion activity and report assessment
KERUSAKAN DANAU TONDANO DAN UPAYA KONSERVASI MELALUI PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT
Abstract: Tondano Lake stretches over the area of 4.800 ha and lies at the height of 650 above the sea level. This lake has been relatively rapid silting up, in which the depth of this lake was 43 meters in 1940 and 20 meters in 1992. This silting up is due, shifting cultivation, increased agricultural activities, plantation, eutrofication, water hyacinth, illegal logging, and the extended housing development. Objective of this writing is to find out damages on Tondano Lake as well as conservation efforts. Conservational efforts through social empowerment include: establishment of farmer groups, related extension agents, forming environmental awareness society, social participation in conservation program and strengthening organizational structure
PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF JIGSAW, SALING BERGANTUNGAN POSITIP, DAN KETERAMPILAN METAKOGNISI DALAM BELAJAR BIOLOGI
Abstract: Improved quality of learning can be carried out towards a new paradigm through cooperative learning based on constructivist learning, the more emphasis on student centered activities based on students. Cooperative learning involves students working collaboratively with positive interdependence to achieve common goals. Jigsaw cooperative learning model emphasizes the positive interdependence in the work, this is indicated by the original group and expert group. Settlement of the subject matter through interdependence is the responsibility of the original group or a group of experts who lead the individual seeks to empower students to be responsible for metacognition skills of self and group. Interdependence in a Jigsaw cooperative learning has the potential to improve students metacognition skills
PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DAN PENERAPANNYA DALAM KEHIDUPAN SEHARI-HARI
Abstract: The research had been conducted in order to look into learning implementation related to waste management at senior high schools in Tulungagung as well as to uncover the collection among learning implementation knowledge and its application in daily life. The research data had been collected by observation, interview as well as by questionnaire. Data analysis indicated that learning implementation related to waste management, learning materials development, learning methods implemented and students knowledge related to waste were not so good yet. Knowledges of waste management were not also applied yet by the studentsin their daily life. Based on the correlation analysis it had been uncovered thet there were significant correlation between learning implementation and student knowledge (R2 = 41,9%) as well as between learning implementation and its application (R2 = 38,5%). On the other hand, there was no correlation between student knowledge and its application
