    Abstract: The reseach aims to increase students comprehension about human reproduction for the 2rd class of high school Al-Maarif Mataram using PBL through cooperative learning STAD. This is Classroom Action Research using two cycle. The source of data of this research is 2rd students, second semester of SMA Al-Maarif Mataram, whose totally is 23 students on academic year 2006-2007. The result of the research are: (1) there are increasing of learning process from cycle I (68.7%) to cycle II (80,0%), (1) learning outcome on the cycle I (80,0%) increase on cycle II (82,2%), (3) a good respons of student to the teaching and learning that using PBL through cooperatve STAD

    Abstract:This is a quasi experiment research, to analysis:(1) the effect of STAD learning strategy usingportfolio assessment towardscritical thinking ability of students on biology learning, (2) the effect ofacademic ability to critical thinking ability of student on biology learning, (3) the effect of interactionbetween STAD learning strategy using portfolio assessment and academic ability towardscritical thinkingability of student on biology learning.The result of this research are following: (1) there is effect of STADlearning strategy using portfolio assessment to critical thinking ability of studenton biology learning; (2)there is effect of academic ability tocritical thinking ability of student on biology learning; (3)  there is nointeraction effect of STAD learning strategy using portfolio assessment and academic ability tocriticalthinking ability of studenton biology learning

    Abstract:Jenepontois one distric that is located in the eastern part of South Sulawesi, is divided into twodistinct topographic reliefs. The southern region is an area of sea with low rainfall, so the populationlivelihood as farmers salt.To open the salt ponds, it takes over the function of mangrove forest lan dresulting in the coastal area have no barrier to hold back the waves so that the coastal areas experiencingabrasion. Based on the results of interviews with community leaders and farmers, data showed that uptonow there has been no extension of the marine department or city zoning office about the importance ofmangroves to the environment.Therefore,the necessary awareness to the public,that began education tostudents who are candidates for reformers about the importance of preserving the the mangroves. Inaddition, the extension to the farmers on the need for reforestation back to the problem of coastal  erosioncan be minimized.Keywords:knowledge, education for community, mangrov

    Abstract: During three years latest, the achievement of non regular education students offering BB in Animal Development course relatively low, with average gain C+ (57,5-67,5) because of the learning method used could activate students not well. For surpass that condition, the learning innovation that can increase student’s activity were needed. This expansion purposed to increase motivation and achievement of the students offering BB in Animal Development course by applying of jigsaw’s cooperative learning . The design used in this expansion is classroom action research in two cycles that applied in five and six meeting time in even semester 2007/2008. The student’s motivation were observed by perceived their interest, activity, effort, concentration and efficiency working during the learning process. The results indicate the increasing of good category’s classical learning motivation from 60.74 at 1st cycle to 77.78 at the 2nd , and the classical achievement from 62.96% to 85.19%. Its can concluded that the applied of jigsaw’s cooperative learning can improve student’s motivation and achievement

    Abstract: Models of learning Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction (ARIAS) concept maps can be combined to increase their critical thinking skills, cognitive, and affective. Research-aims to examine the effect of learning models ARIAS, ARIAS combined concept maps and concept maps to the ability critical thinking, cognitive, and affective. The research data were collected through a description of tests and observation sheet.     Abstract: Marine Natural Park Gili Matra is one of the Marine Protected Area (MPA) that is known for its natural beauty underwater. Area management efforts was implemented through the establishment of community-based awig awig (local law), while the improvement of coral reef rehabilitation was done in situ using Biorock technology. Approach through education in Gili Matra coral reef management efforts is necessary. This approach can be pursued through the development of local content-based subjects  applied in the school environment that are the local hallmarks of Gili Matra as “biodiversity of coral reefs.” Students’ understanding about coral reef biodiversity is expected to raise awareness about the importance of coral reefs and how to manage it

    Proses pembelajaran Biologi kelas X yang dilakukan di SMA I Talun menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan presentasi. Kegiatan praktikum materi tumbuhan belum maksimal karena kurangnya bahan amatan. Ketersediaan jaringan wifi di sekolah belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran. Model penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D menurut Thiagarajan (1974). Website ajar berbasis internet materi tumbuhan terdiri dari materi berupa naskah, gambar, dan video yang dikemas dalam tampilan yang menarik. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian angket oleh validator dan siswa menunjukkan bahwa produk website ajar berbasis internet materi tumbuhan layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sebagai sumber belajar pendukung selain buku teks

    Abstract: Classroom action research have been conducted in April-July 2010, at class VIIA State Junior High School 3 Jember. The purposes of this research are to increase student’s motivation and activities. Student motivation had increased from 64% in the first cycle to 80,1% in second cycle. Student learning activity had increased too from 80,4% in the first cycle to 85,8% in the second cycle.
