Abstract: Genetics is the biological materials that are considered difficult because it is abstract. Drafted so that genetic material is difficult concepts understandable disjointed and does not provide a conceptual framework. High school biology teacher in Ternate still not deconstruct and reconstruct the genetic knowledge to use critical thinking and logical reasoning so that concepts are not interpreted correctly (misconceptions). PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI BERBASIS MASALAH PADA MATERI KERUSAKAN DAN PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN
Abstract: The type of this study is research and development of Biological problem-based learning devices on environmental decay and pollution materials. The aim of research and development are: (1) to develop learning instruments: student’s book, student’s worksheet (LKS), lesson plan (RPP), and learning achievement test (THB) that appropriate to problem-based learning, and (2 ) to evaluate the quality (validity, practicality, and effectiveness) of them. The developmental procedures of this problem-based learning devices referred to Thiagarajan4-D model. The results of this study showed that (1) generally, all the components of problem-based learning devices (prototype I) were valid. The results of validation analysis were RPP M= 4,08 (valid), student’s book M= 3,92 (valid), and LKS M= 4,07 (valid), whereas THB as device (quiz) was not validated, and (2 ) generally, the result of limited test in prototype II had fulfilled the criteria of practicality

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the effect of cooperative TSTS with contextual teaching and learning approach on student’s motivation and achievment of class X SMA Negeri 1 Tumpang. The data were obtained by using sheat of motivation and achievment test were analyzed using Anacova. The result of study showed that there is a difference between students who are taught using cooperatif learning model TSTS with CTL aproach with students who althought conventionally thourgh lecture and discussion

Abstract:This study aims to: (1) to describe the implementation of TPS cooperative learning strategy, andNHT, and (2) to describe the effect of TPS and NHT cooperative learning strategy to the activity, cognitivelearning outcomes, andaffective of the biology students. This study is quasi experimental by PretestPosttest Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The result of the study indicates that: (1) the implementation of TPS and NHT cooperative learning strategies is an excellent condition dan (2) there is significanteffect of the implementation of TPS and NHT cooperative learning strategy to the activity, cognitivelearning outcomes, and of the biology subject of the students
PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN DAN KEMAMPUAN AKADEMIK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN METAKOGNISI DAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF
Abstract: The objective of this research was to know: the effect of learning strategy, academic ability, as well as the interaction of learning strategy and academic ability on metacognitive ability and learning outcome. The statistic analysis used were Anacova and LSD. Learning strategy process consistency test was similarity test of regression equation. The conclusion of the research were: (1) learning strategy didn’t affect metacognitive ability, (2) learning strategy affected cognitive learning outcome, in this case multistrategy was the most constructive. (3) academic ability didn’t affect metacognition and cognitive learning outcome, (4) the interaction of learning strategy and academic ability did not affect metacognitive ability, but the best interaction was PBMP combine with Script with and academic ability, and (5) the interaction of learning strategy and academic ability did not affect cognitive learning outcome, but the best interaction was PBMP combine with TPS and low academic ability
MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SEKOLAH MEMFASILITASI KEMAMPUAN PENERAPAN KONSEP BIOLOGI DALAM KEHIDUPAN SISWA
Abstract: The fact that learning occurs in school SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda still encountered problems on learning media, and also the ability of students to solve problems related to the concept of biological life. The purpose of this study are: (1) to increase teachers skill in the use of instructional media school environment to facilitate students implement Biological concepts in life, and (2) to increase students ability to implement the concepts of Biology in daily life. The research method is classroom action research with three cycles. The results showed: (1) an increase in the ability of teachers use instructional media in each cycle of the school environment and in the last cycle (III), teachers reach skilled category, (2) the ability of students to apply the concept of biology in daily life has increased and in the last cycle (III), 88.89% of students have been classified in the capable category

Synectics Dipadu Mind Maps berpengaruh terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif, Sikap Kreatif, dan Penguasaan Biologi
Abstract: Synectics Model matched with Mind Maps were applied in the instruction in order to achieve the target. This was an experimental quasi research with pre-test post-test control group design. The sample of the research was the eighth grade students of low and high academic levels in Makassar which was selected using cluster sampling random technique. Research data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistic of anacova. The results of analyses indicate that: (1) there was significance difference with the mean score of creative thinking ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials due to difference of instruction model used, (2) there was no significant difference of mean score of creative think ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials among the students who belong to the high and low academic level, ( 3) there was no interactional effect between the instructional model used with the students academic level towards creative thinking ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials
