Roundhouse diagrams, Jigsaw, metacognitive awareness, learning outcome
Abstract: The purpose of this study to improve metacognitive awareness and biology learning outcomes using Roundhouse diagrams through Jigsaw cooperative learning. This research is Classroom Action Research three cycle, consist of 4 stages such as planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. The results of this research showed that Roundhouse diagrams through Jigsaw cooperative learning can improve metacognitive awareness and learning outcomes for grade XI IPA1 at SMA Negeri 6 Malang. The classical completeness of metacognitive awareness has increased in each cycle, cycle I 80,77%; cycle II 88,46 %; cycle III 100%. The cognitive learning outcomes were also increased in each cycle. Cycle I 57,69%; cycle II 76,92%; and cycle III 92,31%. The affective learning outcomes were decreased in cycle I 100% and 88,46% in cycle II and increased in cycle III which were 91,67%
PEMBERDAYAAN BERPIKIR MELALUI PERTANYAAN DENGAN TWO STAY TWO STRAY DALAM BELAJAR BIOLOGI
Abstract: This research aimed to increase the student’s learning activities and learning outcomes through the application of Thinking Improvement by Questioning (TEQ) in Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) methods. This research is a classroom action research which is executed in 2 cycles. Research subjek is 32 students of class X-2 even semester school year 2008-2009 Public Senior High School 3 Malang amounting to 32 student. Results of research indicate that: (1) the application of TEQ in Two Stay Two Stray method can improve student learning activity of first cycle to second cycle for each group and classically and also domain affective and the quality of question from students, and (2) the application of TEQ in Two Stay Two Stray method can improve result learn student by minimal learn complete percentage either through individual and also classically. At first cycle, the students who can reach the minimal learn complete percentage is 75%. This amount have increased become 96,875% at second cycle

Abstract: Problems related to water resources of the upper Brantas river zone had been managed by central government and not by regional government. Since a decade before various efforts to improve and to conserve the water resources problems had been conducted but the effort failed. All sustainable and comprehensive act are needed in order to make a kind of awareness grows. There are four basic concept that may be develop into problem based learning scenario, ie. (1) the lack of water resources, (2) sedimentation area, and (3) population density at the river bank.
PEMBERDAYAAN BERPIKIR MELALUI PERTANYAAN (PBMP) DENGAN THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) DAN ARIAS PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
Abstract: This research had been conducted to investigate the effect of Thinking Empowerment by Questioning (TEQ) combined with (TPS) supported by ARIAS, as well as of academic potency, on critical thinking and cognitive achievement in biology. The research design used was quasi experiment. Research results were: (1) TEQ combined with, TPS supported by ARIAS had significant effect on critical thinking and cognitive achievement, (2) academic potency also had significant to critical thinking, but not to cognitive achievement, and (3) interaction of TEQ and TPS supported by ARIAS had no significant effect on the critical thinking and cognitive achievement

The concept of development: learning process, the principle of conservation, community development, and evaluation. The strategy to make it happen participation of local communities, public education, environmental and cultural conservation, ecotourism experts, infrastructure, and promotion. The challenge is consistency in the development of all the parties concerned. If ecotourism successfully, it as a support for contextual learning to cultivate an attitude of concern for the environment so that the life of a harmonious, balanced, harmony and improve the local economy
CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING DENGAN MODEL NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER PADA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI
Abstract: MTs Surya Buana had never implemented CTL-NHT before. The teaching and learning activities in this school use lecturing method with the help of visual media and LCD, so the students had low learning motivation. An alternative to solve the problems was by implementing CTL-NHT in the teaching and learning process. This is a Quasi Experimental Research with ’control group, pre-test, post-test’ design. Data analysis using Ancova statistical analysis technique. The samples of the research are Class VII A which consisted of 25 pupils as the control group and Class VII B consisting of 19 pupils as the experiment group. Based on the result of the research, teaching and learning process using CTL-NHT is proven to be effective in improving the students’ motivation and learning outcome; therefore, it can be used as an alternative in Biology instruction at schools
NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER DIPADU INKUIRI TERBIMBING MELALUI LEASSON STUDY PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI
Abstract: The learning Biology in SMA 1 Batu indicates that student have low motivation because teacher centers learning and the tendency to do worksheets individualy in every meeting. Based on the constructivism learning and Minister of National Education, the most appropriate solution is to combine learning model Numbered Heads Together and guided inquiry through LS to improve motivation and learning outcomes. Based on observations in the observationsheet motivation, from the first cycle to the second cycle there is increased attention aspects of 13.98%, 18.03% by relevance, confidence and satisfaction by 19.82% at 24.86%. Based on the motivation questionnaire, from the first cycle to the second cycle there is increased attention aspects of 22.78%, 16.41% by relevance, confidence and satisfaction by 20.12% at 15.81%. Based on data, there are increase in cognitive achievement of 27,58% and 13,07% of the psychomotor of the first cycle to the second cycle

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to improve biology learning process used process skill approach in the subject matter movement in the plants in the class VIII A of SMP Muhamadiyah 3 Depok Sleman Yogyakarta. The method of this reseach was classroom action research that consist of 2 cycle action. This research used observation sheets and questionnaires. The result of this research show that skill approach process could improve biology learning process. There was an increase in the percentage of each indicator namely the independent in learning 19,61%, the effort to understand the material 19,61%, having initiativeto seek information16,67%, 15,44% responsible for their action and communicate 18,38%
UPAYA MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI MELALUI METODE GROUP INVESTIGATION DIPADU GAME PUZZLE
Abstract: The purpose of the classroom research was to improve learning activities and its out of comes by implementing group investigation learning model . The subjects were class VII-B students SMPN1 Bondowoso at school year of 2009/2010. Research results showed that the application of group investigation learning model combined with puzzle games could increase the activity of 73.63% in the first cycle to 89.57% in second cycle. The cognitive learning also increased as much as 22:22%. Affective learning outcome did not increase but the result was equal to 96.29% and psychomotor learning outcomes increased as much as 22.22%
PEMBELAJARAN BIOTEKNOLOGI BERBASIS SCIENTIFIC, TECHNOLOGY, AND INFORMATION LITERACY
Abstract: Application of biotechnology generates many benefits while still should be considered the potential risks and dangers of the use these technologies. The nature of biotechnology such, requires mastery of both the right and the field, so that eventually acquired the ability to be able to make decisions about where biotechnology is good and which can result in a less favorable risk. Scientific, technology, and information literacy is learning to integrate the ability to access and evaluate information using the Internet with the ability to use science to answer everyday phenomena and personal decisions based on the knowledge gained. Creativity in science education, appropriately called ”scientific creativity”, so the need for creativity in learning, especially in science education requires teachers to consider studying science in the context of scientific creativity. Learning to use STIL biotechnology have relevance in empowering creative thinking skills
