DISTRIBUSI UKURAN IKAN TERI (Stolephorus sp) YANG DITANGKAP PADA PERIKANAN BAGAN TANCAP DI MUARA SUNGSANG SUMATERA SELATAN (Size Distribution of Anchovy (Stolephorus sp.) Caught in Stationary Liftnets at Sungsang Estuary South Sumatera)
ABSTRACT The anchovy (Stolephorus sp.) in Muara Sungsang estuary South Sumatera are generally caught by stationary liftnet. Morphometric studies are essential to determine the growth form and growth rate of species, which is very much important for proper utilization and management of the population of the species. This study aimed to determine the size structure and growth pattern of the anchovy caught by stationary liftnet. The size structure, length -weight relationship and the condition factor of anchovy were computed. The anchovy samples were taken in July 2013 (750 samples) and September 2013 (1950 samples). Results showed that the population of anchovy was dominated by length frequency distribution of 65 mm during study on July 2013 and 75 mm during study on September 2013. Both populations were dominated by weight frequency distribution 2 gram. The anchovy that caught on September 2013 were more allowable catch than on July 2013. The growth pattern of anchovy was negative allometric. The relative condition factor (Kn) value in September 2013 was higher than in July 2013. It indicated that the environmental conditions at Muara Sungsang estuary are suitable for growth of anchovy’s and still safe from fishing pressure.Keywords: allometric, anchovy, condition factor, frequency distribution ABSTRAKIkan Teri (Stolephorus sp.) di Muara Sungsang Sumatera Selatan umumnya ditangkap menggunakan bagan tancap. Studi morfometrik berguna untuk menentukan bentuk pertumbuhan dan laju pertumbuhan spesies. Hal ini berguna untuk manajemen populasi dan sebagai informasi tentang stok atau kondisi organisme. Disamping itu, sebagai dasar dalam upaya pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan ikan teri di masa akan datang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur ukuran dan pola pertumbuhan ikan teri hasil tangkapan bagan tancap. Data ikan teri didapatkan pada bulan Juli 2013 (750 sampel) dan September 2013 (1950 sampel). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi ikan teri didominasi oleh distribusi frekuensi panjang 65 mm pada bulan Juli 2013 dan 75 mm pada bulan September 2013. Distribusi frekuensi berat teri pada kedua bulan tersebut sama yaitu 2 gram. Penangkapan ikan teri pada bulan September 2013 lebih layak tangkap dibandingkan pada bulan Juli 2013. Pertumbuhan ikan teri bersifat negative allometric. Nilai Faktor kondisi (Kn) pada bulan September 2013 lebih tinggi daripada bulan Juli 2013. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kondisi lingkungan Muara Sungsang cocok untuk pertumbuhan ikan teri dan masih aman dari tekanan aktivitas penangkapan.Kata kunci: allometrik, teri, faktor kondisi,distribusi frekuens
STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PELABUHAN PERIKANAN SAMUDERA NIZAM ZACHMAN JAKARTA (PPSNZJ) SEBAGAI PUSAT PEMASARAN PERIKANAN (Development Strategies of Nizam Zachman Jakarta Fishing Port as a Fish Market Center)
Indonesia has signed Port State Agreement that initiated by Food Agriculture Organization (FAO), therefore some specified fishing ports including PPSNZJ should serve international ship well and safely. PPSNZJ, the biggest of fish market center, needs to prepare developing national and international marketing. Descriptive analysis was used to describe market activities in PPSNZJ, and SWOT analysis was used to obtain development strategy of PPSNZJ as a fish market center. The result showed that fish supply composition was 51,4% by fishing vessel landing in PPSNZJ and 48,6% by fish that transported into PPSNZJ. Share market of PPSNZJ consisted of export market (8,71%), domestic market (26,18%) and fish processing industry (65,11%). Parameter Biologi Ikan Kerapu (Epinephelus sp.) Hasil Tangkapan di Perairan Taman Nasional Wakatobi, Sulawesi Tenggara Indonesia (Biological Parameters of Grouper (Epinephelus sp.) Caught in Wakatobi National Park, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia)
Studi ini mengidentifikasi parameter ikan kerapu yang terdiri dari hubungan panjang-berat, tingkat kematangan gonad dan indeks kematangan gonad yang tertangkap dengan pancing hekaulu, bubu dan panah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik parameter biologi ikan kerapu berdasarkan pendekatan beberapa parameter populasi ikan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perairan Taman Nasional Wakatobi dari bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2010. Pengambilan data biologi ikan kerapu ini dilaksanakan di perairan P. Wangi-wangi, P. Kaledupa dan P. Tomia. Pengambilan data pata panjang dan berat ikan langsung dilakukan di lapangan sedangkan data TKG dan IKG dilaksanakan pada lokasi yang telah ditentukan sesuai dengan metodologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan ikan kerapu dengan panjang infinity (L∞) sebesar, 59,43 cm, koefisien pertumbuhan (K) sebesar 0,460 dan umur teoritis (t0) sebesar 0,2540. Pola pertumbuhan ikan kerapu yang tertangkap pada fishing ground pancing hekaulu dan bubu bersifat allometrik negatif sedangkan yang tertangkap dengan panah bersifat isometrik. Pada fishing ground alat tangkap bubu menangkap ikan kerapu dalam kondisi tidak matang gonad sebesar 62,5% dengan nilai indeks gonad berkisar 0,3680-0,8996 dan hanya 37,5% saja yang dalam kondisi matang gonad dengan nilai indeks gonad berkisar 1,0059–1,1058.Kata kunci: parameter biologi, kerapu, pancing hekaulu, bubu, panah, Taman Nasional Wakatob
ZONASI PEMANFAATAN KAWASAN PERIKANAN TANGKAP DI TELUK BANTEN (Zonation of Utilization Fishing Zone in Banten Bay)
Utilization of fishing area in Banten Bay by various activities may cause multi sectors conflicts related to management of the bay. The integrated zone system in that area has not been established yet; therefore it is needed to be studied. The objectives of this study were to 1) determine fishing season and fishing ground; 2) determine indicators and criteria of fishing zone; 3) establish fishing zone. The study was conducted in four fish landing centers which are located in Karangantu, Terate, Wadas, and Kepuh from January to April 2010. Data were collected by surveying analyzed using the fishing season index analysis, relationship analysis between sea surface temperature, chlorophyll-a and fish abundance, and GIS analysis. Based on the results, it were revealed that 1) peak fishing season of pelagic fish was from November to January and demersal fish was from November to December; 2) the catches from fishing grounds surrounding Panjang island were anchovies, trevallies, squids, Indian mackerels, pony fishes, Fringescale sardinella; surrounding Pamujan besar island were threadfin bream, shrimps; and surrounding Tunda island were eastern little tuna, narrow barred king mackerels, black pomfret, red snapper, great trevally, scads, mullets, squids; 3) development indicators of fishing zone were (i) feasibility of fishing ground, (ii) compatibility of fishing gears with fishing grounds, (iii) possibility of conflicts, (iv) infrastructure, (v) carrying capacity of environment; 4) Banten bay water was divided into three fishing zones, they were (i) passive zone, (ii) passive and outboard motor zone, (iii) active and inboard motor zone.Key words: fishing ground, fishing zone, utilizatio
MODEL BIOEKONOMI EKSPLOITASI MULTISPESIES SUMBER DAYA PERIKANAN PELAGIS DI PERAIRAN SELAT BALI (Bio-economic Model of Multispecies Exploitation of Pelagic Fishery Resources in the Bali Strait)
Bali Strait has potential abundance of pelagic fishery resources such as Indonesian oil sardine (lemuru), frigate mackerel (tongkol), scad mackerel (layang), short-bodied mackerel (kembung) and others which can be caught mostly using purse seine. Fishery resources are combined and also known asmultispecies; therefore this research aimed to analyze the model of bio-economic multispecies exploitation of pelagic fishery resources in Bali Strait. The analytical methods that used in this research were estimated dynamic model of Walters and Hilborn (1976) and analysis of bio-economic model. The results showed that actual production of exploitation of pelagic fishery resources in Bali Strait, was lower than the rate of sustainable production especially Indonesian oil sardine and short-bodied mackerel. Production and fishing effort were below the actual optimal value. The management of pelagic fishery resources in Bali Strait did not show a good level of economic efficiency. Thus the exploitation of pelagic fishery resources in Bali Strait using purse seine could still be increased.Key words: bio-economic, multispecies, optima
KELEMBAGAAN PENGELOLAAN SUMBER DAYA PERIKANAN TANGKAP BERBASIS RESOLUSI KONFLIK DI KALIMANTAN SELATAN (Institutional of Capture Fishery Resources Management Based on Conflict Resolution in South Kalimantan)
Management of fishery resources can be hampered by destructive conflict. A fairly long period of conflict, due to the institutional implications of conflict management is not effective, therefore this studyaimed to 1) map the institutional management of fishery resources, 2) reveal on the role of institutional management of fishery resources management, 3) develop a concept institutional management of capture fisheries. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach and was analyzed in narrative. The result showed that the institutions that played role in conflict management consisted of formal, non formal and community institution of traditional societies. Institutions were in a synergy in community based monitoring system of fisheries and marine resources - which consisted of society groups and have a network ranging from district to central government levels. They played a role in making operational policy for supervising and controlling fishery resources, coordinating and harmonizing the programs and activities among institutions, as well as taking actions to follow up the allegations based on the information from society groups.. Conflict resolution can be done effectively with the negotiation and facilitation techniques known as ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). Thus, conflict management was conducted cooperatively by prioritizing on acceptable and long term output. . Application of ADR was conducted by involving the whole of law functionaries. EVALUASI DESAIN DAN STABILITAS KAPAL PENANGKAP IKAN DI PALABUHANRATU (STUDI KASUS KAPAL PSP 01) Fishing Vessel Design and Stability Evaluation in Palabuhanratu (Case Study of PSP 01 Training-Fishing Vessel)
PSP 01 is a training-fishing vessel that was built in a traditional dock yard in Palabuhanratu, so it was not completed with design drawings and stability calculation. This paper discusses on determining the vessel’s suitability of design and stability condition followed by redesign of main dimension to obtain more optimal design. Simulation carried out in various load conditions and different vessel sizes to get the considerably ideal size of the vessel. The main dimension ratio and coefficient of fineness analysis showed that the vessel was appropriate as multipurpose vessel for fishing activities. Stability condition of the vessel either empty or in existing load condition met the criteria recommended by IMO with a maximum GZ was 0.33 m and an initial GM was 0.64 m. To improve the stability and fish hold capacity, the breadth and depth needed to be increased. The redesign resulted an alternative size ofmain dimensions which were LOA = 14.30 m; B = 5.14 m; D = 2.12 m.Key words: design, fishing vessel, multipurpose, stabilit
Pemanfaatan Hasil Tangkapan Sampingan Ikan Cucut dan Ikan Pari dalam Pembuatan Gelatin (By-Catch Utilization of Shark and Stingray Fish on Producing of Gelatin)
Dalam hubungannya dengan masalah bagaimana memanfaatkan hasil tangkapan sampi-ngan (HTS) dari aktivitas penangkapan ikan dan untuk mematuhi Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, kami mengolah HTS menjadi produk bernilai tambah. Dalam penelitian ini, kulit ikan cucut dan ikan pari digunakan untuk pembuatan gelatin. Lima rasio pengkomposisian berbeda antara kulit ikan cucut dan ikan pari 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, dan 0:100 digunakan dalam produksi gelatin. Karakteristik fisik dan kimia gelatin dari masing-masing perlakuan termasuk gelatin sapi komersial dievaluasi. Rasio pengkomposisian kulit ikan cucut dan ikan pari 50:50 menghasilkan gelatin terbaik pada parameter viskositas, kekuatan gel dan titik leleh dengan nilai berturut-turut 11,77 cP; 230,33 Bloom dan 31,9 oC. Gelatin tersebut mengandung air, abu, lemak dan protein berturut-turut sebesar 6,89; 0,59; 0,71 dan 82,94 g/100 g. JENIS UMPAN DAN BENTUK PERANGKAP PLASTIK YANG EFEKTIF UNTUK MENANGKAP RAJUNGAN (Efective Bait and Plastic Trap Shape in Catching Swimming Crab)
Tiga puluh perangkap plastik dioperasikan untuk menangkap rajungan di perairan Palabuhanratu. Operasi penangkapan dilakukan sebanyak 16 kali pada kedalaman perairan ± 20 m dengan jenis substrat dasar berupa pasir berlumpur. Bentuk perangkap terdiri atas kubah, limas terpancung, dan balok. Adapun 2 jenis umpan yang digunakan adalah cucut (Rhinodon typicus) dan tembang (Sardinella spp.). Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan komposisi jenis rajungan yang tertangkap, jenis umpan yang disukai rajungan dan bentuk perangkap yang paling efektif menangkap rajungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi hasil tangkapan terdiri atas 249 rajungan bintang (Portunus sanguinolentus), 2 rajungan karang (Charybdis feriatus), dan 2 rajungan badak (Portunus pelagicus). Umpan cucut lebih disukai rajungan bintang dibandingkan dengan tembang. Umpan cucut menghasilkan 136 rajungan bintang dan umpan tembang 113 menghasilkan rajungan bintang. Perangkap berbentuk kubah menangkap 103 rajungan bintang. Perangkap berbentuk kubah lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan perangkap berbentuk limas terpancung dan balok.Kata kunci: umpan, bentuk perangkap plastik, rajunga
