The Application of Think Talk Write Model Using Visual Media in Improving Intensive Reading Skills at the Fourth Grade Students.
Get PDFAbstract: The Application of Think Talk Write Model Using Visual Media in Improving Intensive Reading Skills at the Fourth Grade Students. The objective of this research is to describe the steps on the application of Think Talk Write using visual media in improving intensive reading skills at the fourth grade students. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were students of the IVA class of SD Negeri 2 Kebadongan totaling 20 students The conclusion of this research is there are seven steps in the application of Think Talk Write model using visual media, namely (a) distribute students worksheet (b) read the problems in students worksheet (think), (c) group division, (d) discussion activities (talk), (e) write the results of group discussion (write), (f) present the discussion result, and (g) reflection and drawing conclusion; moreover it can improve intensive reading skills for the fourth grade students. It was proven by the increase of number of students achieving learning mastery ≥ 70 in the first cycle 62.50%, in the second cycle 80%, and in the third cycle 92.50%.Keywords: Think Talk Write, visual media, intensive reading skill

Get PDFAbstrak. Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning dengan Media Konkret Dalam Peningkatan Pembelajaran Pecahan pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 01 Bojongsari Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pembelajaran matematika tentang pecahan melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media konkret pada siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Bojongsari. Penelitian ini merupakan PTK kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model PBL dengan media konkret dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran matematika tentang pecahan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model PBL dengan media konkret yang dilaksanakan sesuai langkah yang tepat dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran matematika tentang pecahan pada siswa kelas V SDN 01 Bojongsari tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Get PDFAbstract: The Application of Realistic Mathematics Education Approach Using Visual Media in Improving Mathematics Learning for the Fifth Grade Students of SD Negeri 2 Krandegan. The objectives of this research are to improve Mathematics learning in the fifth grade students of SDN 2 Krandegan. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 32 students of the fifth grade of SDN 2 Krandegan in academic year 2015/2016. Techniques of collecting data were observation, interview, and tests. Validity of data in this research was analyzed using triangulation of technique and sources. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The conclusion of this research is the application of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach using visual media can improve Mathematics learning for the fifth grade students of SDN 2 Krandegan in academic year 2015/2016. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan lembar soal. Teknik uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif dan analisis data kualitatif. No full textAbstract: The Application of Concept Sentence Cooperative Model Using Photograph Image in Improving Writing Skills of Essay for the Fourth Grade Students of Elementary Schools. The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the steps on the application of Concept Sentence model using photograph image to improve writing skills of essay for the fourth grade students of elementary schools. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings including planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 25 students of the fourth grade of SD Negeri 2 Semanding.The conclusion of this research is the application steps of Concept Sentence cooperative model using photograph image, namely: (a) deliver the learning objectives, (b) deliver the learning materials through Concept Sentence model using photograph image, (c) divide groups into four students heterogeneously, (d) provide some keywords and a photograph image based on materials, (e) each groups is instructed to make some sentences using at least four keywords on each sentence and according to the photograph image, (f) present the results of group discussion in front of the class and students discuss again guided by the teacher, (g) conclusion; moreover the application of Concept Sentence cooperative model using photograph image can improve writing skills of essay for the fourth grade students. It was proven by the increase of percentage of students’ learning outcomes in the first cycle 60%, in the second cycle 78%, and in the third cycle 88%.Keywords: Concept Sentence, photograph image, writing skill
PENERAPAN MODEL BERPIKIR INDUKTIF DENGAN MEDIA GRAFIS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS PADA SISWA KELAS III NEGERI 04 NGRINGO TAHUN 2015/2016
Get PDFAbstract: The Application of Inductive Thinking Model Using Graphic Media in Improving Social Science Learning for the Third Grade Students of SD Negeri 4 Ngringo in the Academic Year of 2015/2016. This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students especially in social science learning. The objective of this research is to improve social science learning of the third grade students of SD Negeri 4 Ngringo. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of five meetings including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this research showed that the application of Inductive Thinking using graphic media can improve students’ learning outcomes in SD Negeri 4 Ngringo especially in social science with the materials of kinds of jobs. It was proven by the percentage of students’ learning mastery before treatment by 65% then increase in the first cycle 72%, in the second cycle 83%, and in the third cycle 86%. Keywords: Inductive Thinking model, graphic media, learning outcomes, social science, elementary schools Abstrak: Penerapan Model Berpikir Induktif dengan Media Grafis untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Pada Siswa Kelas III Negeri 04 Ngringotahun 2015/2016. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPS. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN 04 Ngringo khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan yang dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif selama tiga siklus melewati tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan model berpikir induktif dengan media grafis dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN 04 Ngringo khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan materi jenis-jenis pekerjaan. Hal tersebut dilihat dari persentase ketuntasan siswa sebelum dilakukan tindakan sebesar 65% namun pada siklus 1 persentase ketuntasan siswa menjadi 72%. Get PDFAbstract: The Application of Survey-Question-Read-Recite-Review (SQ3R) Method Using Print Media in Improving Intensive Reading Skills for the Fourth Grade Students of SD Negeri Tanjungmeru in the Academic Year of 2015/2016. The objectives of this research is to improve intensive reading skills of students. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Subjects of the research were 22 students of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Tanjungmeru in the academic year of 2015/2016. Source of data were derived from students, fifth grade teachers, researcher, classmates, and documents. Techniques of collecting data were test and non-test. The results of this research showed that the application of Survey-Question-Read-Recite-Review (SQ3R) method using print media can improve intensive reading skills of students in the first cycle 62.88%, in the second cycle 75%, and in the third cycle 84.09%.Keywords: SQ3R, print media, intensive reading skills Abstrak: Penerapan Metode Survey-Question-Read-Recite-Review (SQ3R) Dengan Media Cetak Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Membaca Intensif Pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN Tanjungmeru Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016.Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk meningkatan keterampilan membaca intensif siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan non tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R dengan media cetak dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif siswa dengan KKM > 70 pada siklus I sebesar 62,88%, siklus II 75%, dan siklus III 84,09%. The objective of this research is to improve social science learning about the struggle during independence for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Bumirejo through the application of Guided Note Taking. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 28 students of the fifth grade of SD Negeri 4 Bumirejo. Techniques of collecting data were observation, interview, test, and documentation. The result of this research shows that the application of Guided Note Taking method can improve social science learning about the struggle during independence. The objectives of this research is to improve social science learning for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bumirejo in the academic year of 2015/2016. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 37 students (16 boys and 21 girls) of the fifth grade of SD Negeri 1 Bumirejo. The result of this research is the application of Quantum Teaching model using multimedia can improve social science learning about about notable figures in Indonesian independence for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bumirejo in the academic year of 2015/2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SDN 1 Bumirejo tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) kolaborasi menggunakan rancangan penelitian siklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 1 Bumirejo, sejumlah 37 siswa dengan 16 siswa laki-laki dan 21 siswa perempuan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Quantum Teaching dengan multimedia dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS tentang tokoh proklamasi pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Bumirejo tahun ajaran 2015/2016.
