Get PDFThe aim of this research is to describe the abilities and problems in listening skills on the study group of 4th grade students of elementary school Bumi 1 No. 67 Surakarta in the academic year 2020/2021. This research regarding to four important elements, including listeners, speakers, talks, and situations and conditions. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The subjects used in this study were class teachers and 5 students who were members of one study group. The results of this research indicate that the ability of listening skills in the the 4th grade students of elementary school Bumi 1 No. 67 Surakarta in the academic year 2020/2021 is classified as low. The percentage of the total student results, namely 40% which states that 2 out of 5 students can reach the scores minimun (KKM). While 60% of the total percentage of students stated that 3 out of 5 students had a score below the set scores minimum (KKM). As for the problems in listening skills in the fourth grade study group can be found from every important element studied. The result of this research also encourage teachers to minimize the problems of listening skill

Get PDFThis study aims to describe the teacher skills conducting variations in social studies learning. This research are descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Dukuhan Kerten No. 58. The subject of this research is 4th grade teacher. Data collection techniques used observation, interview, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of research showed that the 4th grade teacher had implemented a variety of social studies learning well, but the variations in the use of learning media were still less visible. The variations made by the teacher were variations in teaching styles, variations in the use of learning media, and variations in student interactions and activities. The conclusion of research is the teacher skills conducting variations in social studies learning are good

Get PDFThis research aims to describe the impact of larning mathematics assisted by youtube media on the creative thinking skills of elementary school students during social distancing. The subject of this research were the teacher and 26 students from 5th grade of state primary school at Surakarta on the 2020/2021 academy year. The data collection technique in this research are interview, observation, questionnaires, and test. By using four indicators of creative thinking skills, the result showed that one of the four indicators was in the moderate category. This indicator is flexibility. Three of the four indicators are in the high category. This shows that learning mathematics assisted by youtube media has a good impact on the creative thinking skills of elementary school students during social distancing

No full textThis study aims to describe the difficulties of students in the VD class of Djama'atul Ichwan Elementary School in the 2020/2021 academic year in reading comprehension. This study used a qualitative descriptive method where the data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and written tests to 6 respondents. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, this study found difficulties in reading comprehension in students. Difficulty reading comprehension in students is shown through indicators of students' abilities in answering questions about reading content, finding main ideas, making reading conclusions, determining mandates, and the ability to retell the content of the reading. Data analysis in the discussion provides broad and in-depth information about the difficulties of different students regarding reading comprehension

Get PDFThe Minister of Education and Culture of The Republic of Indonesia since March 24 2020 issued Circular No.4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Education Policies in an Emergency for the Spread of COVID-19, In this Circular Letter states that the learning process is carried out in their respective homes through online learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the impact of implementing online learning corncerning the quality of science learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in class VI.I SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The data were collected by means of questionnaires and interviews from teachers and students as well as strengthened documentation. The results showed that through the implementation of online learning had an impact on not achieving on of the criteria in the indicator, namely the development of critical thinking in science learning. Teachers have not developed critical thinking in students, and students have not developed critical thinking. Based on this description it can be concluded that the quality of science learning in class VI.I SDN Kleco I Surakarta is quite good due to the impact of implementing online learning

This research is a qualitative descriptive research with content analysis method. The data source of this research is the thematic book of the fifth grade teacher theme 8 "our friend's environment" which contains KI, KD, learning objectives, learning steps, student activities and learning assessment grids. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique with the semantic data validity test technique. The data analysis technique uses the Milles and Hubberman model technique through four stages which include data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results obtained are that there is an assessment rubric in accordance with the HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) perspective

Get PDFReading become the most important aspect of Bahasa Indonesia learning because reading is some activity that implicate visual activity start from translating until understanding the poin of the text. The good comprehension reading capability is when someone competent to understanding the content of the text. There are some indicators to measure the comprehension reading capability. Comprehension reading capability should be implemented to elementary school studentespecially at grade V. Basic competency that demand the student to understand and analysis the text need to use the comprehension reading capability. Obstacle that happen frequently are students that have less interest about a text. This low interest to learn a text make them have a low comprehension reading capability. Research to Djama’atul Ichwan elementary school students at grade V represent that their comprehension reading capability are good enough seen from the high study interest. With thath high study interest and high effort will get the good comprehension reading capability

Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to describe the MNR method in mathematics learning delivered by Ridwan Hasan in the TVRI program "Belajar di Rumah". This research used descriptive qualitative method with phenomenological approach. The informants in this research were students in V grade of Elementary School in 2020/2021 academic year at Pringkuku District, Pacitan city. The sampling technique used was a purposive sampling. The data collection technique was done by observation, interviews, and analysis documents. The data validity test used source triangulation and time triangulation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's model. The results of this study indicate that MNR method is quite helpful for students in understanding Mathematics during online learning. The MNR method steps that Pak Ridwan presented are in accordance with the MNR syntax theory. The display of the segment "Gemar Matematika Bersama Pak Ridwan" which uses animations and interactive images makes students interested in Mathematics learning. A unique variation in learning is the use of traditional clothing that changes every day which attracts the curiosity of students. Apart from functioning as variations in learning, the use of traditional clothing is also beneficial for students to gain new knowledge and insights about customs in IndonesiaKeywords: Mathematics, Online learning, MNR method, Elementary School

Get PDFIn the field of education, the 21st century is known as the digital era, where all sectors, including education, must be digitized, and where technology plays a fundamental role in education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Trello application-based training and mentoring method for elementary school teachers. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The sample in this study were teachers in Ngawi Regency, East Java Province. The data collection technique used is a test. Data were analyzed using N-Gain. The results showed an increase in teacher knowledge about the Trello application. The pre-test showed an average score of 45.0 while the post-test showed an increase with an average score of 75.7. Therefore, it is important for teachers to improve their skills in developing Trello-based portfolio assessment

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to find out the suitability of fictional character values in Grade IV Student Book Theme 8 with 18 character values curriculum 2013. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis approach. The data and data sources in this study are fictions contained in the Grade IV Theme 8 Student Book. Data collection in this study uses observation techniques and document studies that are reduced to be then presented in instruments and verified. Based on the results of the research obtained that the value of characters that appear in fiction in the Book of Students Grade IV Theme 8 amounted to 14, namely: religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, respect for achievement, communicative pleasure friendly / proactive, care for the environment, social care, and responsibility. From the 14 character values, it can be known that the percentage of character appearance in fiction in The Grade IV Student Book Theme 8 is 77.78%. Based on the percentage obtained, it can be stated that the value of the characters in the fiction story in the Grade IV Student Book Theme 8 is appropriate.Keywords character values, fictional stories, Curriculum 2013, student boo
