Determination of Hydrodynamic Dispersion Coefficient of Solute Transfort in Soil Using Inverse Problem Method
Solute transport in porous medium is affected by two parameters i.e : 1) average velocity of solute particle, and 2) solute dispersion. Theoretically, the solute transport can be describes by Convective Dispersion Equation, when the methods to determine D in this paper we present a modified method of inverse problem to calculate D. The results indicated that the inverse problem much or less matched with the analytical solution
Development of Dynamic Local Work Load Measurement Method Using Electromyography (EMG) (an experimental measurement with drilling activities)
This paper presents a scheme to build a system of musculosceletal maesurement using Electromyography and for measuring physical dynamic workload of local muscles, i.e., drilling activities. Electro-myography (EMG) can be signal of muscle contractions and provides continous record as the analog signal. The result of this dynamic local workload measurement show a nonlinear relationship between peak level power spectra of EMG signal and torque. the work load for drilling 0.8 mm to 5 mm plate activities ranges between 0,1513 to 1, 6979 Joule
Study of Optimization of LInear Velocity of Rotary Blade and Tractor Forward Speed Ratio on Soil Pudding of Wet Field Rice
The study on optimization of linear velocity of rotary blade and tractor forward speed ratio oil soil puddling of wetjeld rice was carried out in order to find the relationship between linear velocity of rotary blade and tractor forward speed ratio (u-v ratio) and the number of tractor\u27s pass versus soil puddling index and tractor wheel slip during the soil puddling, and todetermine the optimum u-v ratio for rice wetjeldpreparation with certain soil classijication and condition and also with certain two wheel tractor and rotary tiller. The result, using two types of two wheel tractors and rotary tillers, showed that soil puddling was extremely afSected by puddling pass Pequency. The puddling index increased with the increasing of puddling pass prequency until the soil became puddled soil, were 0. 18 up to 0.64 forjeld test I and 0.17up to 0.67 for field test 11 in average

Studyon Characteristics and Shelf Life Prediction of Cashew Appels Using Modified Atmosphere Packaging System
The aims of this research are: I) to identzJL the changes ofphysiologic characteristics of cashew apples during storage under MAP system; 2) to verzfv the changes of their quality during storage; and 3) to establish the optimum gaseous compotition range in the MAS system. To completed the research, the experimen was conducted by four steps activities as follows: I) the measurement of respiration rate; 2) establishment of the range of modijied atmosphere storage for cashew uppels; 3) cojitputingthe packaging area and selecting the kind of plastic film; 4) prediction of shelf lge for cashew appels during srorage under MAP system
Model and Simulation Deef-Bed Clove Drying : Effect of Fermented Treatment
This paper describes the prediction of deep-bed clove drying. This model also considers mass and heat profile that was affected by fermentation process. This model used the equation of two-dimensional finite difference approximation. The dynamic of two-dimensional equation were solved numerically by alternating direction Crank-Nicolson method and then applied to simulate the changes of moisture content and temperature of cloves during drying process. The capabilities of these models were compared with experimental data obtained from the research under variable conditions such as temperature and relative humidity on fermentation and non-fermentation treatment of cloves. The result of simulation showed that the equilibrium of moisture content (EMC) wasconsiderably decreased whereas the rate of drying was dramatically increased with the increase of the temperature of drying. The profile of moisture content on deep-bed cloves drying was unique. The fermented and non-fermented treatments of the cloves did not give significant differences on the drying time in order to achieve the equilibrium of moisture content
Development and Management of Water in Wetland
This paper describes potentials as well as obstacles in developing wetland for agricultures. Historical backgrounds of wetland utilization for agricultures Indonesia and wetland definition by Ramsar Convention are highlighted. Special emphasis is given to explain physical and hydrological conditions of wetland and opportirnities to develop sustainable agricultural activities based on wetland categories. Current problems in developing wetland, sucsh as land degradation and lost of wetland are enlightened, and a little note is aroused to elucidate the failure of One Million Hectares Project in Central Kalimantan. Finally, prospectivetechnologies for controlling water table were proposed
Design of Trickle Irrigation System for Peppers (Capsicum annum var. Longum L.) at Resinda Project, Karawang
Trickle irrigation is an irrigation method which can give continuous water drops at the root zone. The main components of Trickle Irrigation System are : emitter. lateral pipe, manifold pipe, main pipe, water pump and other supporting components. The design is using point source type of emitter. Each emitter serves 4 pepper plants. The total power consumption at pump station III is 8.4 KW. The total operation of pump station I is 752.I hrs/ season, pump station II is 2256.2 hrs / season and pump station III 1504.I hrs / season
Application of Image Processing and Artificial Neural Network Technologgy for Predicting the Water and Nutrient Status during the Groeth of Read Chili Plant
The objective of this research is to predict the water and nutrient status during the growth of red chili plant by means of an image processing and artificial neural network algorithm. In this study, about 150 chili plants were cultivated at LeuwiKopo\u27s Greenhouse but only 30 plants were chosen as sampbs. The data were collected using a CCD Camera only during the vegetative growth and the collected data were analyzed using a back propagation artificial neural network. The results showed the linear relationship between the predicted and targetvalues of water with a coefficient determination of 0.728 and 0.973 for the training and validation data, respectively. The linear relationships were also found between the predicted and target values of nutrient with a coefficient determination of 0.716 and 0.963 for the training and validation data, respectivel
