    The study on Work Load Calibration by using Step Test and Ergometer test was carried out in order to find the best way 10 calibrate the data measurement and to predict human work load by using heart rate data. This study was conducted on four male subjects. but the data analysis has just been done to three subjects due one of the subject was insufficient performance. The sport tester PE3000 heart rate monitor is used for measuring the heart rate data which will be useful for predicting the work load on each activity. The linear regression method is also used to predict the work load based on the heart rate data, so that the best alternative scenario data input will be able to determined by comparing the correlation coefficient or coefficient of determination.

    An  optimization was conducted to a growth model for baby cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. Var. Marta). The model gives information of nutrient intake and micro climate conditions (temperature, humidity, and irrediation) to get response of the plant (ratio of canopy area and stem diameter) and the loss of nutrient solution. The model ws then coupled with genetic algoritm in order to get optimum result efficiently. Two fitness functions were used in the application og genetic algoritm. The result showed that the first fitness function could be used to optimize the plant response (ratio of canopy area and stem diameter) and the loss of nutrient solution efficiently as indicated by the maximum fitness value (Pc = 0.6 and Pm = 0.01)

    Various measurement method of dielectric properties has been studied by researches, one of wich is the Booton 160-A Q-meter operated within the radio frequency range. Determination of dielectric properties by the Q-meter is accomplised through the measurement of voltage (Q) and capacitance (C) of the LRC, which is naturally in the form of alternating current (AC). Measurement of the AC voltage by a voltmeter shows instability of the measured value, while using an osciloscope require an expensive apparatus. The problem seems can be solved by convertion of the LRC output from alternating to direct current. This paper is to study the influence of LRC output to the measured dielectric properties, by converting the output from alternating to direct current

    This research tries to find a suitable material for porous lateral pipe, its mean outflow, its coefficient of uniformity and distribution of outflow along the pipe. The material that is used in this research is Parachute and Fatnatex cloth with 20 cm long.The research shows that the Famatex cloth with 8 cm circumference, gives a better performance and can be used for the further research . Besides. the bigger head is used, the faster water flow and the bigger mean outflow from the material to the ground surface

    The objective of this research was to calculate the cost of harvesting and transportation methods for sugar cane. The research was conducted at the PT. Gula Putih Mataram by observe the total cost of four methods of harvesting and transportation of sugar cane in the last harvesting season. These types were Bundle Cane (BC), Loose Cane with truck (LC-Truck), Loose Cane with Ford tractor (LC-Ford), and Loose Cane with John Deere tractor (LC-JD). The results showed that the total cost of harvesting and transportation per ton of sugar cane was Rp. 19,040.00 for the first method, Rp. 12,078.32 for the second one, and Rp. 27,631.12 for the third one and Rp. 36,500.86 for the last one. These results indicate that the Loose Cane with truck is the cheapest method for harvesting and transportation in PT. Gula Putih Mataram

    Crude palm oil is one of export comodities of Indonesia. Theme, it is of crucial importance to improve the quality of crude palm oil (CPO) through the process of CPO production. This paper discusses the design and implementation of an automatic process control for crude palm oil clarification. The automatic control system proposed herein is suppoded by a computer which performs intensive computation to determine the correct volume of water required for a CPO clarification process. The computer is also used to monitor and maintain a desired temperature during the process. The implementation results indicate promising performance of the system control.
