    IDENTIFICATION OF PHENOL COMPOUNDS OF LIQUID SMOKE SHELL OIL AT HIGH TEMPERATURE PYROLYSIS

    The aim of this study was to determine the content of phenol in the liquid smoke palm kernel shells produced at a temperature 600?C, 700?C, 800?C. Pyrolysis process was carried out by using a furnice that surrounding covered with fire-resistant white cement so that the smoke does not escape into the air and liquid smoke produced more leverage. Temperatures used 600?C, 700?C, 800?C use with condenser-type spiral coil number of turns 30. Liquid smoke produced in deposited for 7 days and in the centrifuge with a rotation speed of 3800 rpm for 60 minutes, filtered and distilled at 125?C temperature for 60 minutes. Liquid smoke analyzed (characterization) using GC-MS and phenol identified for each temperature 600?C is 35.09%, the temperature 700?C is 37.962% and 37.494% temperature 800?C is.Keywords: Liquid Smoke, Phenol compounds, GC-M

    Hydrological analysis is an important stage in water resources development activities, where the output of the analysis will give an overview about water discharge (inflow) into reservoir which is hopefully the quantity of water can supply all human needs (outflow) and also determine the direction of water resources development strategy in a comprehensive indirectly. Utilization of Mocks hydrological model is an approach to simulate and forecast the hydrological phenomenon that is occuring in the future using certain hydrological data recording. The main input of Mocks hydrological model are semimonthly precipitation, evapotranspiration and parameters, while the output of model is water discharge. Microsoft excel was used in analysis of data. The optimal parameters of Mocks hydrological model for regional water catchment area of Sempor Reservoir was obtained through the stages of calibration, verification and validation. The optimal parameters are water catchment area 44.158 km2; wet season infiltration coefficient 0.25; dry season infiltration coefficient 0.4; initial soil moisture 100 mm; soil moisture capacity 150 mm; initial groundwater storage 500 mm; groundwater recession constant 0.995.Keywords: Mocks hydrological model, water discharge, Sempor Reservoi

    This study aims to determine the awarding of Potassium Sulfate optimization and Manure on the growth and production of red peppers ( Capsicum annuum L ) . The design used was a factorial randomized block design ( RAK - F ) with the first factor is the provision of Potassium Sulfate ( K2SO4 ) ( K ) consisting of 0 grams / liter of water ( K0) , 0.5 g / liter of water ( K1 ) , 1 grams / liter of water ( K2 ) and 1.5 g / liter of water ( K3 ) , while the second factor is the provision of manure ( P ) consisting of 0 kg / plant ( P0) , 20 ton / ha = 6.7 kg / plot ( P1) and 25 tonnes / ha = 8.4 kg / plot ( P2 ) . Variables measured were plant height , stem diameter , number of fruit crops , planting fruit weight and dry weight . The results Fertilizer Potassium Sulfate ( K2SO4 ) has significant effect on the variables plant height , stem diameter , number of fruit crops , planting fruit weight and fruit dry weight . Manure does not provide any real effect on all the variables of observation , as well as a combination of the two treatments.Keywords : red chili , potassium sulphate and manur

    The research of grafting methyl methacrylate onto Cyclized Natural Rubber has been carried out. Dicumyl Peroxide was used as a inisiator and temperature condition at 90oC with variation of time 1 and 2 hours. Grafting process was done with technique of reflux in a tree-neck flask with condenser and oil bath. Spectra analysis FTIR performed for determine the presence of grafted MMA on the backbone of CNR. The results showed that the product CNR-g-MMA was formed with the marked appearance of the absorption peak wave numbers at 1731 cm-1 (carbonyl group absorption) typical for carbonyl (C = O) of methyl methacrylate.     The first aim of this study was to determine the effect of SL - PTT programe ( improved varieties, seed quality, seeding, tillage, planting, watering later, fertilizing, weed control in an integrated, pest and disease control in an integrated , harvest and post- harvest ) to the increase in production rice; both to know the difference before and after the rice production program SLPTT. The population in this study were all farmers who participate in the program the SL - PTT rice growing season in 2012 ( approximately 300 farmers in the district Percut Sei Tuan ). The sample is a portion of the population that is considered to have a number of desirable characteristics with 20-25 % of the population so that 50 samples are drawn at random. Data analysis techniques used method of Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Test average difference. Statistically Test results obtained multiple R value of 0.99 and an F - count 1034,281 F - 2:49 table at 95% confidence level ( ? = 0.05 ), in the sense that there is a significant effect. In Partial test, the best variety (X1) Seed treatment only grade ( X2 ) and Planting ( X5 ) is significant while the other variables are not significant.     AbstractThis study aims to determine the growth and production of long beans (Vigna sinensis L) on the provision of bayfolan fertilizer and manure cow. The design used was Randomized Design Group factorial with two factors were studied, namely: Fertilizer Bayfolan factor which is denoted by the letter "B" and the stage is divided into 4 cc Bo = 0 (no provision), B1 = 2 cc / liter water, B2 = 4 cc / liter of water, and B3 = 6 cc / liter of water., and Cow manure factors are denoted by the letter "S" is divided into 4 standard, namely S0 = no treatment (control), S1 = 8 kg / plot, S2 = 16 kg / plot, and S3 = 24 kg / plot. Bayfolan fertilizer as the first factor and cow manure as a second factor, while the parameters measured were plant height (cm), number of branches (branches), the age of flowering (days), number of pods per plant (pods), pod length (cm) , and weight of pods (g). Interaction of treatment bayfolan fertilizer and cow manure showed significant differences in plant height parameter, namely the highest plant found in the combination treatment B1S2 (179.67 cm) and lowest in the combination of B0S0 (162.67 cm), the parameter that is the age old flowering flowering the fastest are in the B3S3 combination treatment (21.33 days) and age in combination B0S0 longest flowering (25.00 days). Then the parameters of pod length, pod longest B1S1 contained in the combination treatment (59.12 cm) and shortest on the combination of B0S0 (38.26 cm). And for the heaviest weight of pods found in the combination treatment B1S2 (46.65 g) and lowest in the combination of B0S0 and B0S2 (39.12 g)Keywords: fertilizer, bayfolan, manure cow, production growth, Vigna Sinencis L

    This research was conducted to investigate the production and growth response of cucumber with adopted of cow manure and supernasa solid fertilizer in the field trials of Agricultural Faculty of North Sumatera Muhammadiyah University, altitude of 27 m above sea level with a factorial randomized, block design with two treatment factors were manure factor (K) in 3 rate treatments is 0; 3,6; 7,2 kg/plotting notated as K0, K1, K2. While the second factors were supernasa solid fertlizer (S) in 4 rate treatments is 0; 2,7; 5,4; 8,1 gr/plotting notated as S0, S1, S2, S3. Variables measured were plant height, fruit height, fruit diameter, planting fruit weight and number of fruit crops. The result of the reseach was 7,2 kg/plotting cow manure has significant effect on the variables plant height ang fruit height but werent significant for another variables. Provision of 8,1 gr/plotting supernasa solid fertilizer has significant effect on the variables fruit height, fruit diameter and planting fruit weight, but werent significant for another variables.     AbstractThe study was conducted to obtain the proper concentration of humagoldand agrobost fertilizer in promoting growth and production of corn. Using a factorial randomized block design each treatment Ao = without agrobost, A1 = 15 cc / l of water, and A2 = 30 cc / l of water, is the first factor. The second factor treatment, Ho = without humagold, H1 = 15 cc / l of water, H2 = 30 cc / l of water. The results showed agrobost fertilizers 30 cc / l of water, ( A2 ) obtained the highest results of observations of plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, weight and length of cob, while humagold fertilizer and interaction with agrobost and humagold have a real influence / very real at all parameter observations

    THE EFFECT OF ABG BIO-ORGANIC FERTILIZER ON THE GROWTH AND PRODUCTION SWEET CORN (Zea mays saccharata Sturt)

    The research of the effect bio-organic fertilizer ABG on the growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) has been carried out by using a randomized block design (RAK) factorial with 2 factors and 3 replicates, namely: bio-organic liquid ABG fertilizer (A), compost (K) with a combination of treatments. The analytical methods used to conclute from the analysis of data using linear mathematical models. Observed parameters: plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, weight of cobs per sample and the length of the cob. ABG fertilizer application had no significant effect on all parameters were observed. Giving compost significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area and length of the cob, but did not significantly affect the stem diameter and weight of fruit per sample.     AbstractGrowth response of Cocoa Seed (Theobroma cacao L.) has been conducted with provision of Bio-Fertilizer Biological extreme Planting In Various Media, using a randomized block design (RBD) factorial with two factors. The first factor is the various types of growing media M0: Soil Topsoil, M1: Land Topsoil + cow manure (1: 1), M2: Land Topsoil Compost + (1: 1). The second factor of liquid biological fertilizer (Bio-extreme) is E0: no treatment (control), E1: 5 cc / liter of water, E2: 10 cc / liter of water. Observation parameters of plant height (cm), number of leaves (pieces), stem diameter (mm), leaf area (cm), wet weight of the top and bottom of the plant (crown and root) (g). M2 treatment DMRT test results (soil + Compost Topsoil) showed an increase in plant growth 12MSPT age. Treatment of biological fertilizers and Bio-extreme (E) E2 treatment (10 cc / liter of water)) showed an increase in plant growth 12MSPT age. The interaction between M x E showed no obvious effect on all parameters of the observations.
