    AbstractStudies have been conducted to determine the effect of soil moisture on the rate of fungal infection Phytium sp and Rhizoctonia sp in pre nursery seedlings of oil palm, Elaeis guineensis Jacq use Randomized Design Group non-factorial, consisting of 6 treatments with 3 replications. The results showed: blast disease is a disease that is not important because it can only cause disease by 25% or 9 plants of the total sample of 36 plants. Soil moisture content of 10% good to blast disease attack, in addition to 25% soil moisture conditions are good also for blast disease attack. Humidity above 50% unfavorable conditions for blast disease attack.     The aims of this study was to evaluate the response of growth and yield of green bean (Vigna radiata L.) against solid organic fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer. The design used was a factorial randomized block design (RAK-F) with the two factors studied, namely: Factor Nafos Guano organic fertilizer dense (N) consists of 4 levels of treatment that is N0 = without giving, N1 = 16,88 g / plot (75 kg / ha), N2 = 33,75 g / plot (150 kg / ha) and N3 = 50,63 g / plot (225 kg / ha). Factors Supermes liquid organic fertilizer (S) comprises 3 levels of treatment that is S0 = without giving, S1 = 1,5 cc / liter of water and S2 = 3 cc / liter of water. The parameters measured were plant height, number of branches, days to flowering, pod weight per plant, weight of pods per plot, seed weight per plot and weight of 100 seeds. The results showed that administration of solid organic fertilizer significantly affect the parameters of plant height, weight of pods per plant and 100 seed weight. Dose of the best applications that N3 = 50,63 g / plot (225 kg / ha). Liquid organic fertilizer significantly affect the parameters of plant height, days to flowering and pod weight per plant. Dose of the best applications that S2 = 3 cc / liter of water. The interaction between organic fertilizer liquid organic fertilizer dense and not a real effect on all parameters measured. Green bean crop production due to solid organic fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer is as much as 9427.63 g (1.16 tonnes / ha).Keywords: green beans, nafos guano and superme

    Prospects for agri-research purposes fermented soybean home industry is to determine the factors that affect demand and supply fermented soybean, in this study in terms of demand and supply. Sampling method using stratified random sampling. Analysis method using multiple linear regression. The results of the study for the simultaneous demand factor is no significant effect between the level of income, tastes, number of dependents and the expectation of future fermented soybean demand is equal to 95% and 82% for supply factors simultaneously which means no real effect between prices fermented soybean, soy price , technology, and government policy towards the fermented soybean offers Calculate the value of the F-count F-table at the 95% confidence level. Partially for demand and supply factors affect the income variable with value t countt table while the other variable demand factors (taste, number of dependents and future expectations), supply factors (fermented soybean prices, technology and government policy) has no effect with the calculated value of t-countt-table at the 95% confidence level.     AbstractThis study to determine the effect of Golden Harvest fertilizer and Rhizobium on growth and production of soybean (Glycine max L.). Implemented using the design of Plots Divided factorial with two factors. The results showed that administration of Golden Harvest Fertilizer real influence on plant height parameters (2 and 3 MST MST), the number of branch age (4 and 6 MST MST), the age of flowering, harvest age, number of pods per plant contains, dry weight of 100 seeds and production per plot, but did not differ significantly to the age of 5 MST plant height, number of branches MST ages 2 and 3, the number of root nodules and the number of pods. Provision of Rhizobium give significantly different results at age 3 parameters plant height and number of branches MST MST age 4, but different is not real high on the plant age (2 and 4 MST MST), the number of branch age (2, 3, and 6 MST), age flowering, harvest age, the number of root nodules, the number of pods contain, the number of empty pods, and production per plot.     This study uses a complete random design (CRD) with a factorial (2) two replications. The first factor is the amount of sodium bicarbonate with a password (N) consisting of 4 levels, namely: N0 = 0%, 0,1% = N1, N2 and N3 = 0,2% = 0,3%. The second factor is the temperature of the drying with a password (S) which consists of 4 levels, namely: S1 = 550C, 600C = S2, S3 = 650C and S4=700C. The parameters observed were: carbohydrate content, water content, organoleptic color, and texture. In this study, the best treatment to make tortillas durian seed is the N3S4 treatment, the amount of 0.3% sodium bikarbnat and drying temperature 700C.     AbstractThis study uses the draft Separated Compartments (RPT) with two factors studied were: tillage system (T) as the main plot consists of 3 levels, namely: T0 = no-tillage (control) T1 = T2 = minimum tillage tillage perfect fertilizer phosphate (P) as a subplot consisting of 4 levels, namely: P0 = 0 g / plot (control) P1 = 20 g / plot P2 = 40 g / plot P3 = 60 g / plot. From the results of the research analyzed statistics indicate that tillage systems and phosphate gives a significantly different effect, while the interaction between the two treatments showed no significantly different effect. The results of the statistical analysis that both tillage treatments and phosphate fertilizer showed no significantly different effect on the number of primary branches plant soybeans, as well as the interaction of these two treatments also showed that the effect was not significantly different. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the data began flowering plant life observation that treatment of soybean tillage systems and fertilizer phosphate showed no significantly different effect. Interaction of tillage system and fertilizer phosphates also showed that the effect was not significantly different. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the widespread observation that treatment of soybean leaves tillage system and fertilizer phosphate showed no significantly different effect.     The research on the application of fertilizer ABG (Bio Amazing Growth) and compost on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L. Coss) has been carried out by using a randomized block design (RBD) consists of a two-factor factorial researched and 3 replications. ABG fertilizer treatments showed significant effect on the observed parameters such as plant height, leaf number and leaf area. But showed no real effect on the other parameters. Compost fertilizer treatments showed significant effect on all parameters except the parameter observations shoot root ratio shows no real effect.     KONVERSI LAHAN SAWAH MENJADI KELAPA SAWIT DAN DAMPAK TERHADAP KETERSEDIAAN BERAS DI KABUPATEN LABUHANBATU UTARA

    The study was conducted to identify broad scale conversion of paddy fields, examines the impact of the wetland conversion to rice production, and study the extent to which the efforts that have been undertaken by the government to control the amount of wetland conversion. This study was conducted in North Labuhanbatu District, North Sumatra Province, a distance of 300 km from the city of Medan. The experiment was conducted in July and August 2012, with 3 stages, namely: ( 1 ) Survey location, ( 2 ). Collecting data on the number of rice paddy fields which have been reduced, and ( 3 ) the data collection needs of food / rice North Labuhanbatu district community. The results showed crop acreage for the year 2010 - 2011 experienced a reduction of 5,044 Ha. For the amount of rice production in 2010 amounted to 189 871 tonnes , while in 2011 to 178 855 tonnes. Total rice production in North Labuhanbatu period of years experienced a reduction of 11.016 tons ( 5,728 tons of rice ). Rice needs of individuals in North Labuhanbatu by 118 kg / soul / year. With a population of 338 701 people then the rice needs of 39022.72 tons / year. This means that despite a decline in production due to conversion, Labuhanbatu communities still do not have a shortage of rice. But if this continues and nothing is done prevention, it would be a serious problem for food security in North Labuhanbatu.Keywords: conversion of paddy fields, palm oil, rice availabili
