    AbstractThe research conducted using the case study method (Case Study).Results of hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression R-square of 0.82 which indicates that it simultaneously (synchronously) no significant effect between capital and labor to the income level of farmers' maize affect the rest of 82% is influenced by other variables outside ofvariables studied.From the test results were statistically obtained multiple R value of 0.90% means that overall there is a close relationship between capital and labor to the income level of farmers' maize is supported by the F-calculated value is greater than the F-table at the level of 95% (0.05 ?).Partially no effect on the level of capital income of corn farmers with value t count t-table of the 95% confidence level.While labor has no effect on the level of income of corn farmers.Implementation of the program was to improve the welfare of the community, especially at the level of farmers' income has gone well according to the needs of farmers in the village.Test results with an average difference test found that the level of income disparity between village farmers who participate in food security programs and income of farmers who do not follow the food security program of the Village 17.23 t count t-table of 2.04 at level 95

    This research aims to determine the effect of waste water Soyabean and Urea fertilizer on growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L.(Merrill). Implemented on Jl. KusumaSampali District of Percut Sei Tuan Medan, with altitude of 25meters above sea level in April toJuly 2013 with a randomized block design (RBD) Factorial. factorthe firstisthe Liquid Waste Soyabean(T) consists of 3 levels is to (without giving) T1(7.5 ml/plot) and T2 (15 ml/plot). Factor both is Urea Fertilizer(U) consists of 3 levels is U0 (without giving), U1(7.5 g/ plant), and U2 (15 g/ plant). Repeated three times. Results of the study that the administration of liquid waste out effect parameters significantly affect plant height, number of branches, days to flowering, weight of 100 seeds. The Data are taken at the end of 2011. The samples in this research are melons farmers around Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang. Primary and secondary data are used in this research. The farming of melon is widely done in Pantai Labu, but still unreach for banking aids. The source of farmers financing are from 1) farmers own capital, 2)loan from renter with hight rate financing, 3) debt from agriculture store, and 4) the financing from agent.     The aim of this study was to (1) describe the empowerment of local communities PTPN IV Kebun Balap through PKBL,(2) knowing how public perception and management company of the Program PKBL in PTPN IV Kebun Balap, (3) knowing how the impact before and after administration of PKBL funds for public welfare seen from the difference in capital, sales turnover, labor and benefits at the time before and after crediting. The sample used in this study is composed of the management company and the community built Partnership namely to see and compare the state at the time before and after the PKBL. Data were analyzed using analysis of different test average of two groups of pairs. Paired samples ( paired sample ) is a sample / group with the same subject but have two different treatments or measurements.     AbstractThis research was arranged in Randomized bloc Design with thirteen treatments and two replicatin consist of control (A0), calcify dolomit (A1), sea mud (A2), calcify dolomit + sea mud (A3), Bradyrhizobium (A4), MOS (A5), peat soil isolat mikoriza (A6), mineral soil isolat mikoriza (A7), Bradyrhizobium +MOS (A8), peat soi isolat mikoriza+mos (A9), mineral soil isolat mikoriza+MOS (10), Bradyrhizobium +MOS+ peat soil isolat mikoriza (A11), Bradyrhizobium +MOS+ mineral soil isolat mikoriza (A12). Variable which to know is pH, DHL, C-organik, C/N, soil nitrogen, soil available P, high of crop at 5 weeks after planting, stem diameter 5 weeks after planting, dry leaf weight, and dry root weigh. Analysis variable with excel program, continue with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT), and corelation coeffient analysis with excel program. The result of this research that giving some material repair soil (calcify dolomit, sea mud, and some biofertilizers) having an effect very sigficant to increase pH, and increase high of crop 5 weeks after planting, and having an effect significant to decrease of DHL, but not having an effect significant to C-organik, C/N, soil nitrogen, soil available P, stem diameter 5 weeks after planting, dry leaf weight, and dry root weigh.Key words : Amelioran, peat soil, calcify dolomit, sea mud, Bradyrhizobium, MOS, mikoriza

    Pengaruh Pemakaian Bahan Organik terhadap Produksi Tanaman Melon (Cucumis melo. L)

    This study aims to determine the effect of the use of organic (manure and compost) on the production of melon plants (Cucumis melo.L). The experimental design used was a non-factorial CRD with four types of treatment are: P0 = Without manure (control), P1 = manure cow manure, farmyard manure P2 = P3 = chicken manure and compost. Parameters measured were started flowering time, harvest time, fruit diameter, fruit weight and fruit diameter. The results showed that the treatment P0 yellow leaves, large stems, time starts to flower 23 days, the time of harvest life of 89.8 days, 0.15 kg fruit weight, fruit diameter of 9.2 cm and 1.35 cm thick flesh. P1 looks at the treatment of green leaves, large stems, time starts to flower 21 days, the time of harvest life of 78.8 days, 1.09 kg fruit weight, fruit diameter of 19.42 cm and 2.07 cm thick flesh. In the treatment of P2 looks green leaves, large stems, flowering age of 20 days, 76.8 days of harvest age, weight 1.18 kg fruit, fruit diameter and 20.49 cm by 2.71 cm thick flesh. At P3 treatment looks yellow leaves, small stems, flowering age of 22 days, 85.8 days of harvest age, weight 0.42 kg fruit, fruit diameter and 14.05 cm 1.98 cm thick flesh.     Tahu is a well known home industry in subulussalam. Municipality competition in the business requires a good strategy to survive in the industry. The aims of the research are to: 1) identify the influence of internal and external environments to words tofu industry development, 2) give recomended development strategy for tofu makers at simpang kiri subulussalam.Method used in this research is qualitative analysis, the research was condicted at Simpang Kiri, Subulussalam. Data collection technique was done through interviuw and the data were analyzed using SWOT analysis method, sampling technique used random sampling method. Data collection consist of primary and secondary data.Results of descriptive metodology using SWOT analisis show that matrix value of internal factor is 2,288 while matrix value of external factor is 2,162. The application strategy is done agressively explained as tofu industry is a promising business or has strenght and oppotunity. Determination of the area is purposive, ie areas that are already running program PUAP by purposive random sampling method sampling (random accident). Results of hypothesis testing known that Rural Agribusiness Development Program provide a positive influence on society, especially in the field of capital. Evaluation of the implementation of the Rural Agribusiness Development program conducted to see the development of the field. Implementation Jeumpa PUAP in Kuta village is still in the form of Gapoktan and has not developed into MFIs.     AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of the cmc and the starter for the quality of probiotic drinks. This study uses a complete Randomized Design (CRD) with factorial (2) of two replicates. Factor I is the number of CMC with a password (C) which consists of four standards are: C0 = 0%, C1 =0,2%, C2 =0,4% and C3=0.6%. Factor II is the starter with a password (S) consisting of 4 standard, namely S1 = 2%, S2 = 4%, S3 = S4 = 6% and 8%. The parameters observed include: TSS, total acid, organoleptic aroma and flavor. This study uses yellow sweet potato extract as a source of prebiotic, and starter L. casei as a source of probiotics. Sinbiotik fermented milk made from a combination of prebiotics and probiotics with pasteurized milk as a medium (substrate). CMC provides a number of different influences highly significant (P 0.01) for TSS, total acid, organoleptic aroma and flavor. Starter number of different influences highly significant (P 0.01) for TSS, total acid, and organoleptic taste and significantly different (P 0.05) to the organoleptic flavor. Interaction of different treatments did not influence significantly (P 0.05) for TSS, total acid, organoleptic aroma and flavor.Keywords: prebiotic, probiotic, Ipomoea Batatas, CMC, Lactobacillus case
