Miskonsepsi Siswa pada Pemahaman Konsep Bangun Ruang
The purpose of this study is to describe 8th-grade students’ misconceptions in solving surface area and volume of beam and cube problems and their causal factors. This is qualitative descriptive research. Based on the research, students’ misconceptions in solving surface area and volume of beam and cube problems are misconceptions on the concept of a beam, misconceptions on the concept of the cube, misconceptions on the concept of prerequisite material, misconceptions on unit comprehension, misconceptions on the understanding of meaning, and misconceptions on sign and number operations. While the causal factors of misconception are students’ assumptions about the lack of importance of concepts so students only memorize formulas, students are not able to associate one concept with other concepts, lack of understanding concepts in prerequisite material, misunderstanding the meaning of words in a problem, students have difficulty understanding pictures., misunderstanding the difference in the size of area and length
Efektivitas Pembelajaran Daring dengan Menggunakan E-learning Madrasah Terhadap Optimalisasi Pemahaman Matematika Siswa
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government was requiring to be able to implement a learning system by the applicable health protocol. Based on this, the government must change the learning system from face-to-face meetings to online learning. Technology that is rapidly growing can be advantaged to fully support the online learning process so that the Ministry of Religion Affairs makes an innovation, namely e-learning madrasah media for simplifying the online learning process for all madrasah in Indonesia. This study aims to make readers know the level of effectiveness of online learning using madrasah e-learning to optimize the student understanding of mathematics. This study used a survey method that was conducted online with a quantitative descriptive research type. The results are that online mathematics learning activities using e-learning madrasah are quite efficient, considering that there are still constraints on the ownership of students' equipment and inadequate internet networks, and students are not maximal in absorbing the material provided. However, the advantages we found were the full support provided by the school, teachers, and parents for ongoing learning. Also, learning mathematics using madrasah e-learning is efficient and flexible so that students can carry out learning well
Profil Kompleksitas Soal Matematika Siswa Visualizer dan Verbalizer dalam Post Solution Problem-Posing
This research aimed to describe the question complexity of the visualizer and verbalizer students in problem posing. The question complexity on problem posing is the complexity of the questions made by students by paying attention to some aspects, which are language variable, question complexity level, and students' creativity thinking level. This is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects were two visualizer students and two verbalizer students from 11th grade of Al Falah Senior High School. Data collecting techniques are tests and interviews. Test and interview data were analyzed descriptively. In the final result, question complexity of the visualizer students tend on the language variable level is second (low), question complexity is easy, and the creative thinking level is third (creative). Whereas the verbalizer students tend on the language variable level is fourth (high), question complexity is high, and the creative thinking level is fourth (extremely creative)
Validitas E-Comic Matematika Berbasis Pemecahan Masalah pada Materi Kesebangunan
The purpose of this research is to obtain the validity of E-Comic based problem-solving in similarity material. This research is included in the development research with a quantitative approach using the ADDIE development paradigm, but just for three-stage: Analyze, Design, and Development. The instruments of data collection used the questionnaire validation and interview by experts. Based on the results of the validity test to media experts and material experts, it was concluded that the validity of mathematical e-comic based on problem-solving with similarity material reached a very valid with the average is 4,48 from a scale 1-5, so this e-comic media could be continued at the next ADDIE stage to fulfill practicality and effectiveness
Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation Menggunakan Media Suling
This study aims to describe the steps of Group Investigation learning using suling media that can improve the learning outcomes of students. Group Investigation learning has six steps have identifying topics and organizing into groups, planning the investigation, carrying out the investigating, preparing the final report, presenting the final result, and evaluating. The research is a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of data used: data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The validity of data is the perseverance of observer, triangulation, and peer inspection. This research can improve student learning outcomes. This result shows the percentage of student learning outcomes in the pra cycle amounting to 48% that has a rate of 75 and increased during the first cycle with 80%. The result of teacher observation is 89.28%, while the students’ is 78.57%. Based on the results of interviews conducted on four students who were the subject of interviews, one of which didn’t increase learning outcome, but liked suling media when interviewed
Etnomatematika: Eksplorasi Budaya Sasak sebagai Sumber Belajar Matematika Sekolah Dasar
The purpose of this research is to describe the results of the exploration of ethnomathematics of Sasak culture that can be used as a source of learning mathematics. This type of research is exploratory qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. This research focuses on buildings, crafts, arts, and traditional snacks. The research instrument is the researcher himself. While the method of data collection by interview, field studies, and documentation. Data analysis techniques with triangulation are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that Sasak cultural products can be used as a source of learning mathematics, especially on the elements of geometry including rectangles, triangles, trapezoid, circles, rhombus, laying-kites, cones, cylinders, and pyramid. Learning resources derived from Sasak culture, if properly utilized, will create meaningful mathematics learning for students
Number Sense Siswa dalam Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Ditinjau dari Gaya Kognitif Verbalizer
This study aims to describe the student's number sense in solving math problems in terms of the verbalizer's cognitive style. This is qualitative research, with research instruments are cognitive style tests, problem-solving tests, and interview guides. The results showed that (1) at the reading and thinking stage, the students' could identify questions and explain mathematical terms and numbers in the questions appropriately, (2) at the exploring and planning stage, the students' could determine the steps to take from solving the problem through an example, (3) at the phase of choosing a strategy, the students' could find the relationship between the numbers in the matter and state the appropriate formula to solve the problem, (4) in the search for answers, the students' could perform mental calculations and estimate calculations in the form of root prediction and rounding of numbers with accuracy, and (5) at the reflecting and expanding stage, the students wrote the final result of the answer in detail and wrote the conclusions on each calculation result obtained, and corrected again the results of his work
Profil Higher Order Thinking Skills Mahasiswa dalam Memecahkan Masalah Geometri
HOTS is the ability to combine and develop newly acquired information and prior knowledge to solve non-routine problems. HOTS refers to the revised Bloom's Taxonomy which consists of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. However, this study was only analyzing (C4) and evaluating (C5). This study aimed to describe the HOTS profile of students in solving geometry problems. This type of research was descriptive qualitative research with the subject consisting of two students with high learning ability, each of whom was selected to represent two different Euclid Geometry classes. Data collection consisted of solving HOTS problems and unstructured interviews. The results showed that the two subjects had not been able to achieve high order thinking ability indicators. Students' higher-order thinking skills still need to be improved. Mathematics learning should designing considering the critical and creative thinking aspects to develop students' HOTS learning should be designed by considering critical and creative thinking aspects to develop students' HOTS
Pengaruh Kecerdasan Logika Matematika Terhadap Disposisi Matematis Siswa
This study aims to determine the influence of logic smart on students' mathematical dispositions. The method is quantitative with ex post facto approach — the population of class XI MIPA MAN 2 Cirebon and three samples taken by random sampling. Data collection uses logic smart tests and questionnaires was then analyzed using a simple regression test. Analysis and interpretation of data show that logic smart of students at coherent level with the average value is 65.93 and 57%, mathematical disposition of students is at a high level with a percentage of the average indicator value is 70%, and there is a significant influence between logic smart with the mathematical disposition of 63.2% and a significance value of 0.00<0.05. So, the teacher should improve the logic of smart students through logical thinking, as well as counting ability accompanied by observations to solve mathematical problems because it has implications for the ability of students' mathematical dispositions
Kesalahan Konstruksi Konsep Mahasiswa pada Materi Himpunan dan Defragmentasi Struktur Berpikirnya
This research was conducted to identify errors in the construction of concepts and to know the form of defragmentation of students’ thinking structures on set material. Data collection was done by asking students to answer on the main test questions. Data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research indicate that the errors in the construction of mathematical concepts of students on set material were: 1) pseudo-constructions in the form of true pseudo and false pseudo, 2) misconstruction, 3) misconnection, and 4) logical thinking errors. The forms of defragmentation or the process of rearranging the thinking structures of students who experience concept construction errors in the set were conducted by giving scaffolding and cognitive conflict
