PARTISIPASI ORANGTUA TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI: SURVEI PADA KELOMPOK BERMAIN DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA
This research was aimed to investigate the level of parents’ participation, expectations and comprehensions of early childhood education. It was also aimed to know the direct or indirect effects of parents’ social-economic status, environment, expectations and comprehensions of early childhood education on the level of parents’ participation on early childhood education. The population of this research was all the parents who enrolled their children to the pre-school in Yogyakarta The descriptive analysis result shows that the level of parents’ participations and expectations is in the high category. Meanwhile parents’ comprehension of early childhood education concept is in the medium category. Since, the level of parents’ participation in early childhood education was highly affected by parents’ comprehensions, it can be stated that to raise the level of participations of parents in early childhood education, it is necessary to raise the parents’ comprehensions as well. Besides the efforts of the early childhood education institution to increase parents’ comprehensions, the government can also do this through parallel policies so that there isa harmony in parenting patterns

To provide access to education for all Indonesians, the government develops both formal and nonformal education both of which are to produce qualified man power as stated in the Acts of No. 20, 2003. However, to do this non-formal education should have teachers and education personnel fulfilling the requirements of quality and quantity. This article discusses a number of problems in providing teachers and education personnel for non formal education. It invites the universities organizing teachers training to develop programs for the teachers of nonformal education. Due to the big number of the teachers with the variety of specialties needed at present and in the future, this article suggests developing and strengthening the existing teacher training program at the university to become a Faculty of Non Formal Teachers
MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF SEBUAH TEROBOSAN PEMBELAJARAN PAKET B
Due to a signicant increase of learning achievement using B Package using ICT it’s strongly recomended to use multimedia in teaching mathetmaticts. Information and communication technology (ICT), is developing so fast. Its development is not easy to predict. Now a days, ICT is utilized by almost all aspects of human life including education. The research conducted was regarding the use of ICT to teach math. It was how influential interactive media can be used to facilitate instructional program of B Package to teach mathematics. Rasearch findings indicate that there is significant increase in learning achievement of B Package program participants by using interactive multimedia. KEBUTUHAN BELAJAR PESERTA PENDIDIKAN NONFORMAL (PNF) DAN IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN TENAGA KEPENDIDIKAN PNF
Human basic needs according to Declaration for Education for All are needs (1) to survive; (2) to have an optimal self-development; (3) to participate in society development; (4) to get a job; (5) to make decisions based on information, and (6) to get an access to long life education. Those basic needs are important to determine the quality of life. Further, the quality of life of society itself would also affect the economic development of a nation regarding abilities (1) to manage natural resources, (2) to result high quality of commodity, (3) to develop technology, (4) manage capital flow, and (5) sell products. NFE as a part of national education systems plays an important role in improving the quality of life of society. NFE prepares society to be survival and qualified in responding to global challenges. It may conduct learning activities and programs as well as improve relevant learning resources and models, knowledge and skills of its educators and education personnel
PEMETAAN PERKEMBANGAN PENDIDIK DAN TENAGA KEPENDIDIKAN PENDIDIKAN NON FORMAL
This article is a review on the existence and the role of teachers and education personnel for nonformal education. The role of teachers and education personnel is under supervision of The Directorate General of Quality Improvement for Teachers and Education Personnel, through regulation No.8 2005, issued by Minister National Education. This article adopts the strategic planning of Directorate of Teachers and Education Personnel as the main reference. Critical reviews on the existence of teachers and education personnel for nonformal is very scarce. This is the mjhor cause of why many people tend to think “learning is schoolingâ€. As a results, the term “school teachers is more familiar to us than is nonformal education teachers. Though they function the same role as school teachers do. Even, they have to work harder . EVALUASI PENYELENGGARAAN PROGRAM PENDIDIKAN KECAKAPAN HIDUP DALAM BIDANG PENDIDIKAN LUAR SEKOLAH
The study is aimed at describing the implementation of Life Skills Education Program, especiallyrelated to: (1) the level of the society’s need and the environment support to the program; (2) thecharacteristic of the learners, facilators’, organizers, learning program, learning materials, and theavailability of the facilities; (3) the implementation of the program, especially related to the activitiesof die learners, facilitators’ and organizers; (4) the program output, especially related to: the lifeskills gained by the learners and the benefits of the program for the organizers and CommunityLearning Centres (CLC).The result of descriptive analysis showed the following facts. : First, the level of society’s need forLife Skills Education Program was fairly high. Second, the environment support to the program wasfairly sufficient. Third, the characteristics of learners fulfilled the criteria, while the facilitator’sunderstanding of life skills concept was low and the ratio of facilitators and learner was not sufficient.Moreover, organizers understanding of life skills concept was low, and there were organizers who didnot have a clear organization scheme and the delivery of responsibility. Fourth, the learning programwas not integrative organized; Fifth, the quality and quantity of primary arid secondary learningmaterial were poor. Sixth, individual learning activities as well as the cross-sector coordination arestill poor. Seventh, the supervision of the program implementation was low. Eighth, the learningassessments did not use various techniques, not documented and analyzed well. Ninth, the learner’sachievement of social and vocational skills was fairly good, while their achievement of personal anddaily living skills was poor. However, to some extent, the Life Skills Education Program has givenbenefits to the organizers and Regional RTIU of CLC in South Sulawesi Province

As a part of national education system, Non Formal Education (NFE) faces challenges in order to empower society and to improve the quality of life. There are neglected values such as social values and local wisdom which decline communication among people. Social values builds up spiritual intelligence for people. NFE organizations implement programs related to them. Integrating those values especially implemented by NFE organizations would shape better future for them as well as make society creative and innovative. It would at last be their self-actualization

Nonformal education activities are often implemented as practical education or training for the purpose to cope with economic problems of the individual learners. This economic orientation causes the other aspect of nonformal education aims such as social and cultural aspects are neglected. If nonformal education is considered in more wider as a mean for achieving the realization of lifelong education in society, the current emphasis of its purposes needed to enlarge. Vast development occurs in the domain of Non Formal Education (NFE). It is in regards of educators, and its education personnel. They have to be professional in doing the job. In order to be professional, they have to undergo some preservice training followed by practice teaching. These trainings are vital to educators and educations personnel because trainings would be an opportunity to teach them to be role models, responsible, patient and to have empathy. Trainings consist of foundations of instructions and educational technology, managerial skills and teaching skills related to NFE context
