However, reading has not become a habit aand reading interest is not high enough for most most of people in Indonesia. Reading skill and reading habit of the teachers of early childhood education are suspected unsatisfactory. Get PDFTeacher’s creativity in identifying and determining kinds of games appropriate to meet their children’s needs is required to enable him/her to motivate them to be free from their parents or nurses. How to get the children free from their parents or nurses and to get them into the activitives in the playgroup become a problem for the teacher. This research assumed that this problem could be solved by selecting approprate games for the children. The purposes of this research were to identify the kinds of games and discover the appropriate ones to keep the children free from their parents. Exploring the facts in three play groups (Tunas Bangsa, BBC Kid’s Center, and Anak Cerdas) in Semarang, the research discovered a number of games and the appropriate ones to motivate the children to join the activities in the play group. Based on the analysis, the research gave the teachers some recommendations in using the selected games.

Get PDFLeaning is expected to be the process of cultural transformation and an attempt to manage the environments which give nuance for students to grow and develop with optimum. Multicultural approach is designed by focusing on the importance of social pluralism, multicultural, ethnics and contextualizing. In multicultural approach, the process of education is centered on students or certain community in which the teachers understand beliefs and values of socio cultural students in the context of society culture in designing learning model. In order to introduce a new mathemtics concept to the students, teachers have to relate the concepts known by students before. By using the contexts related to culture known by the students, it will make students feel that knowledge has been part of them and students will not feel it as something new, so that students will feel their learning meaningful. Based on constructivism view, if students feel that knowledge has been part of them and learning is meaningful, students will be motivated to find their own way to keep and get deeper on knowledge in their study. Their attempt to find their own way itself is the main point of constructivism learning. Thus, by using this approach it is expected there will be a new belief system in a theory and concept based on the culture known by students, so that that culture can be applied and kept continually through the way of thinking, ttpoint of view and ways of doing something had by young generation. This research aimed at developing learning media for the tutor of early childhood education to assist him/her to stimulate, develop, and evaluate cooperative behavior of the early age children through movements and songs. The procedures of media development covered need analysis, media development , evaluation and final product in the form of interactive CD. The result of this media development research indicates that the media of interactive CD produced can assist the tutor to stimulate and evaluate the cooperative behavior of early age children through movements and songs. There are 94 respondents participated in this study, age 20 – 40 years old. The data were collected using three instruments, thoseare Adversity Respons Profile (ARP) Quick Take, Achievement Motivation scale and performance scale. Data was analyzed by two ways anova, dummy linier regression and independent t-test.This research concludes that adversity quotient and motivation influence the performance, but ethnic is only moderaor variables. there is no difference in AQ between Java and Maduresse, but there is a difference on motivation score between Java and Maduresse

Get PDFWithin last ten years, the Indonesian government has been implementing decentralization policy by giving autonomous authority to the regions to strengthen the local goverments and to develop their areas. The decentralization policy is expected to motivate the local government and people to accelerate the development including human resource development. This study aimed at describing how the decentralization and the autonomous authority effected the quality improvement of the non-formal education and the tutors at Learning Activity Center (LAC) in Sumbawa. Using qualitative approach, this research collected data by observation and interview to analyze qualitatively.The analysis concludes that there is no significant improvement of non-formal education program and personnel.Besides, the local government’s policy does not encourage the development of non-formal education programs. Finally, it can be concluded that the existing autonomy does not stimulate the development of non-formal education and personnel
