    PENGEMBANGAN PROFESIONAL BERKELANJUTAN BAGI GURU PAUD

    In establishing an advanced civilization, early childhood education has a very important contribution. This article discusses how the PAUD teachers should perform their job professional by providing educational services for the early age children properly. As science and technology are developing fast influencing the people’s needs including the early age children, the teacher should keep increasing their knowledge and skills continously. One thing emphasizes in this article that the early age children need fun learning by joyful playing. The teacher’s ability to fulfill this need will enable him/her to stimulate the children’s motoric, emotional, and intellectual development This article emphasizes how the continous professional development performed by the teacher individually or the responsible institution. The article suggests a number of ideas how to plan and implement such a program

    PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN BELAJAR KEAKSARAAN BERBASIS CERITA RAKYAT KUTAI KALIMANTAN TIMUR

    This instructional material development was intended to develop literacy learning material based on Kutai East Kalimantan folklore and examine the approriateness of the learning material. The research was conducted at Community Learning Center of Puteri Karang Melenu, Kutai Kartanegara District, as from May through October 2011. The development model applied ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) using purposive sampling technique. T-test result for paired samples showed that there was a significant difference between pre-test score and post-test score of the students after used folklore learning material. Meanwhile, from try-out of learning material quality, it was discovered that the criteria for function aspect was very good and the criteria for material, lay out, and language was good

    The limited ability of women is a very crucial problem in the community, especially in fulfilling their daily needs due to the gap between the required ability and the low the ability they have. The main priority in improving the women’s life quality is by providing that can improve their ability to utilize the local natural resources for commercial purposes. The purpose of this study is to describe the process, outcome and effects of the training. Applying quantitative and qualitative approach and descriptive method, this study was conducted in LKP Yuniza Desa, Kecamatan Salawu in August 2016. The data was collected by using participative observation, interview, and document study. Research subjects included learning community members, tutors, and LKP’s management. The result of the study indicate women can be empowered through enterpreneurship training which provide them with knowledge, attitude, and skills enabling them independent and self employed to improve their life quality

    Implementation of multi-literacy education in Dayak ethnic community is still not accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia number 42 in 2015. The objective of this research is to develop a syllabus and learning materials on multi-literacy learning toward Dayak indigenous community as a target. Research methods used are research and development. The research was conducted from August to October 2016. It was also conducted in PKBM Bintang Timur Kabupaten Barito Utara and PKBM Mawar Merah Kabupaten Kapuas. Results show that multi-literacy learning materials are useful for tutors to deliver multi-literacy educational materials in accordance with a curriculum, and as a tool for learners to master the materials delivered by tutors. It is expected that the impact of the syllabus and learning materials implementation can escalate learners’ multi-literacy abilities and behavior changes in maintaining environment

    Samin indigenous community is a group of Saminist adherent located in Blora District. Government, with one of its programs—literacy movement, found obstacles in this community which is very closed and careful in accepting new things out of the community. This research aims to get reading culture development, recognize the feasibility and effectiveness of reading culture development model in that community. The model uses a research and development (R&D) approach which is an improvement method developed by Borg and Gall. Methods used are descriptive and qualitative. This research was conducted in Samin community, Sambongrejo village, Kecamatan Sambong Blora District, starting from July to November 2016. Results of this research has been appropriate to the effectiveness test conducted, so that it can be revealed that this model is effective and feasible to be examined extensively to an indigenous community. This research also gives suggestions on how to overcome problems in which the management of community Reading Garden has to do strategic steps so that TBM can be managed well in the planning, execution, and service process

    The moral development of children at Dharmawanita kindergarten in Padang State University is still low, it seems that there are still children with less understanding of good and bad attitude from their behaviors, like disturbing children, less emphaty feeling and unhappy to play with their friends, and also unused to say thank. One of the causes are the teacher’s effort to grow morale and incorrect method in teaching it. The purpose of this research is to fix the teacher’s ways in growing morale lesson through educated and joyful fables. This research is the classroom action research, the research which increases the learning quality. The research data done by observation and interview. The classroom action research done in two cycluses. The result of this research had shown that there is the increase of children morale development, in cyclus 1, the moral development of children was still low, after cyclus II had been done, there was increasement. Based on the classroom action research, there was an increase of children morale development, it seemed before the action in the early percentage of children ability which was very high 13,23 %, in cyclus I it got increased into 36, 76 %, meanwhile in cyclus II, it got great increased into 77.44%. it shows that there is an increasement of children morale development from the early action before cyclus till cyclus II. The conclusion is telling fable can increase the children morale development. The writer suggests to the readers that this thesis can be used as the source to explore the knowledge increasing the children morale development

    ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN KOMPETENSI DAN PENYUSUNAN MODEL AWAL PELATIHAN IN-SERVICE BERBASIS KOMPETENSI DALAM MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME BABY SITTER

    Baby sitters, at the present, though they are distributed through workers distribution services and have completed the training, all parties have not yet acknowledged their standards of competency. This research aims at analyzing the needs of competency and investigating competency-based in-service training model in order to improve baby sitters’ professionalism. This research utilizes qualitative research method with observation, interview and FGD (Forum Group Discuss) as the technique. The research was conducted at three of training institute for baby sitter in Bandung, West Java from January 2011 until August 2011. The results show that: 1) the analysis of competency’s needs shows that baby sitters at present need a training that can help them improve their ability and knowledge as well as competency based on the field’s needs and standards referring to standard imposed. 2) The conceptual model of competency-based in-service training comprises the development on mix standard competencies that are built, the determination of training management strategy, the strategy and learning method in the training, and various apparatus of training needed. The research concludes that baby sitters at present need improvement in their competencies in order to be professional in future

    Educational practitioner and educational staff play an important role in reaching the national education objectives, including in non-formal education. Teachers of Kindergarten, Early Childhood Education, and Community Education are expected to provide all level of society with quality educational services. The purpose of this article is to describe various efforts which have already done and to be done by The Directorate of Teacher Development for Kindergarten, Early Childhood Education, and Community Education, particular in 2017. The article presents in detail priority programs such as (1) strengthening the roles of teachers and supporting educational staff, (2) developing the teachers and supporting educational staff of Early Childhood Education and Community Education, and (3) improving the quality of management of teachers and supporting educational staff of Early Childhood Education and Community Education.
