Andaliman breeding and regeneration (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) in its natural habitat tends to be slow and difficult. The purpose of this research was to determine the distribution pattern, spatial character, and potential suitable habitat for andaliman growth with a suitability model approach in Samosir island, North Sumatera. Andaliman distribution pattern based on the calculation of the Standard Morisita Index (Ip) shows various patterns. There are three categories of distribution pattern, depends on the Standard Morisita Index  The distribution patterns on each plot based on the calculation are: random (Location 1 – open area (Ip = 0.00)), uniform (Location 2 – plantation forest (Ip = -0.77); Location 3 –  open field (Ip = -0.09)), and clump (Location 4 – plantation forest (Ip = 0.36)). Analysis of habitat suitability for andaliman used spatial modelling with the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) approach. This method utilized ecological variables, i.e.: Bare Soil Index (BSI), slope, Digital Elevation Model (DEM), rainfall, Normalized Difference Moisture Index (NDMI), and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). The result is  69.8% of Samosir Island is suitable for andaliman, while 26.4% of it is considered as highly suitable habitat

The model of key factors contributing to support sustainability of the environmental management in the industrial estate were studied. These factors were the result of the prior research of prospective analysis that classified as the leverage factors and the driving factors. These factors were studied by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as the criteria and alternatives input to elaborate the priority in the model of environmental management. AHP matrices were analyzed by purposive expert in the depth interview procedure. The analysis result showed that the industrial estate manager is the most important as the firts actor in the model (63.7%), the second actor is the industrial company as the tenant of the first actor (25.8%), and third actor is the local government (10.5 %). The priority of the dimension of the model in a row were economic (38.1%), social (19.4%), institutional management (19.3%), ecology (13.8%) and technology (9.4%). For developing the model there were five driving factors that develop the alternatives of the policy for achieving the goal. The priority of the alternatives in a row were improving the quality of industrial wastewater (29.5%), improving wastewater quality of integrated wastewater treatment plant outlet of the estate manager facility (21.5%), obtaining the industrial water demand (19.1%), conducting 3R (reduce, reuse and recycle) program of hazardous waste, and maintaining and supporting employed people in condusive work environment. By AHP result which resulting the priority of actors, dimensions, and alternatives, the model was developed effectively

In general, natural resources capable of generating foreign exchange, such as: gas, petroleum and various other minerals are found in locations that have high productivity. Conditions of waters that have high productivity serves to support the sustainability of biological resources (e.g.: fish, mangroves, seagrass beds, seaweed and coral reefs). The government in this case the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (formerly the Ministry of the Environment) actually has made the signs of a rule that must be met by business actors who conduct activities in sensitive areas to environmental changes. PT. Total E & P Indonesia (TEPI) located in Balikpapan has long been engaged in exploration and exploitation of oil and gas in the Mahakam Delta. The large flow of branches of the Mahakam River empties into the Mahakam Delta provides a promising business opportunity for the farmers to open their business. While TEPI has oil wells are scattered in the delta area, pipelines are needed to collect the oil from the wells to the processing site. Because of the large number of streams causing many oil and gas pipes to cross the river (river cross pipes) that require special handling and meet the standards of technical rules and environment set by the government to be safe from passing boats or fishing boats that pass at the location. This study was conducted to predict the extent of exposed areas of exposure, especially the TSS concentration generated from the dredging activities in the pipeline. The simulation results show that the area of impact (TSS> 80 mg / L) is 74275.13 m2 dominantly moving westward from the dredging location (RC-06 = River Crossing Pipe No. 6). The farthest distance of the affected river body (TSS> 80 mg / L) to the west is 557.00 m from RC-06. The farthest distance of the affected river body (TSS> 80 mg / L) to the northeast is 240.81 m from RC-06. The farthest distance of the affected river body (TSS> 80 mg / L) to the southeast is 216.98 m from the RC-06 location. There is no water mass with TSS> 80 mg / L entering the pond. Sedimentation due to dredging activities is not accumulated and has no impact on shrimp farming business. The results of this study is expected to make a scientific basis in helping solve the problem of compensation requested by the farmers to TEPI due to decreased tambak production

Abstract.Growth Textile industry from year to year demands high creativity both design and color. The process production of textile industry especially dyeing can not separated from the use of clean water and high wastewater pollutant produced. With Zero Water Discharge principle, the industry is expected to reduce the amount of waste discharged into the environment. There are many water, and wastewater recycling technology processes. However, in Indonesia conventional wastewater processing is still widely encountered, limited to aerobic and anaerobic active sludge processes, chemical coagulation - flocculation processes, as well as activated carbon - filtration processes. This study examined the process of wastewater recycling in the management of bio-chemical waste and using activated carbon aplication for post treatment. This recycling process could improve process efficiency and saved production costs. Carbon active process decreased COD contamination up to 96%, with contact time 20 minutes. The study and research of potential wastewater recycling on conventional bio-chemical-carbon active processing expected to be an inspiration for industries, and the public to do waste water recycling

The research of actors\u27 power network in community-based mangrove management aims to analyze the interaction and dynamics of actors in forest management networks by local communities through a power approach. Networks can be seen as the arena and interaction of actors in the distribution of information exchange, policy and coordination, allowing only influential actors to influence weak actors in the network. Investigation of the role of these actors through the network establishes the interactional relationships between individuals, groups, or organizations that influence behavior. Through the network it can be judged that every actor (individual or group) has different access to resources (wealth, power, or information). The actor\u27s analytical approach refers to the framework of centralized power actors (ACP), which is an analytical approach for understanding the empirical resources of actors in socio-political relationships and contributing to strongly empirically identified groups of powerful actors. Thus ACP can serve as a tool for the assessment of power networks, useful as preliminary information in forest policy practice. While to know the relationship between network with social network analysis approach (SNA)
