KARAKTERISASI DAN ESTIMASI EMISI GAS RUMAH KACA DARI SAMPAH PADAT KOTA DI TPA BAKUNG KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG
Abstract. Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) which is disposed to unmanaged landfill site generates the large quantities of greenhouse gas (GHG) called landfill gas. This Landfill gas is composed from various kind of gases, one of those gases is Methane (CH4 ) that is 21 times more effective than carbon dioxide (CO2) which contributes to global warming. The number of methane gas generated from organic waste has different values depending on the waste characteristics. This study is aimed to calculate the GHG of Bakung landfill which is located at Bandar Lampung city by considering about the waste characterization using various laboratory testing and the default data of IPCC Inventory software 2006. The Results showed that the landfill is able to generate an average of 2,665 m3 Million methane during 2018 – 2032.Keywords: Bakung landfill site, waste characteristic, greenhouse gas, methan
Mitigasi Dan Arahan Pengelolaan Air Asam Tambang Melalui Hutan Rawa Buatan Di Lahan Pasca Tambang
The application of remote sensing using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology to identify distribution of Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) as part of mitigation process has been done in PT. Jorong Barutama Greston. UAV imagery was interpreted visually to produce land cover map. Bare land area from land cover map is used as the boundary of the analysis area for the mitigation of AMD source. Color of soil in UAV images is used as training area for supervised classification to differentiate different pH. The result shows distribution of soil with pH between 2-3 is 1.2 ha, pH 3-4 is 4.5 ha, and pH 4-5 is 9 ha. This analysis can show that mapping results using aerial photo is effective to identify pH of soil in bare land as a source of acid to water in void and it used as input for revegetation and swamp forest planning as bio-phytoremediation efforts. Swamp forest as a wetland is one recomendation for sustainable water management on mine to increase pH and reduce heavy metal content. The success of constructed swamp forest as passive treatment for bio-phytoremediation is determined by the selection of plant species, site location, design and construction of swamp forest and maintenance. Typha latifolia, Salvinia sp., Fimbristylis globulosa, Chrysopogon zizanioides, Melaleuca leucadendra, Melaleuca cajuputi, Nauclea subdita and Nauclea orientalis L. are recom-mended as local selected plants for phytoremediation. Obtained six variables that significantly affected to determination of site location for constructed swamp forest are elevation (T), slope (S), land cover (L), cathment area (C), distance from channel (K) and distance from the monitoring pool (P). The model X = 0.2T + 0.2S + 0.1L + 0.15C + 0.3K + 0.05P applied to find very suit-able area with α = 0.05 and the R-square (R2) value 93.4%
Estimasi Cadangan Karbon Biomassa di Atas Permukaan pada Tegakan Mangrove Menggunakan Pengindraan Jauh di Tongke-Tongke, Sulawesi Selatan
Mangrove is one of the most intensive carbon sinks and plays a major role in the carbon cycle. However, the existence of mangrove is decreasing due to land use change that are not in accordance with its allocation, and disrupt the carbon cycle in the ecosystem. This study aims to estimate mangrove carbon stock using remote sensing technique in Tongke-tongke, South Sulawesi. Estimation using remote sensing usually has a low accuracy, therefore this research use multispectral (Landsat) and radar (PALSAR) sensor to increase the accuracy. Total carbon stocks in the study area based on model built for HH and HV polarization were 5662.85 ton and 6431.46 ton, respectively
Komunitas Burung pada Pegunungan Bawah dan Sub-Pegunungan Di Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak
Bird diversity has been known to be affected by various factors, including elevational gradient. The objective of this study was to describe the bird community trend and its associated habitat conditions on lower mountain and sub-mountain areas. The study was conducted in September-October 2017 in Gunung Halimun Salak National Park, West Java, Indonesia. Bird data were collected using point count method. Data were analyzed by using Shannon-Wiener (H’) diversity index, Margalef’s richness index (DMg), and Bray-Curtis similarity index. Birds were grouped into guilds according to their major diet. There were 54 bird species (23 families) in both altitudes, of which 23 species were found in the lower altitude and 33 species were found in the higher altitude. Contrary to most studies elsewhere, the diversity and richness indices were significantly higher at the sub mountain (H’=2.85; DMg=5.96) than at lower mountain (H\u27=2.38; DMg=3.79). Insectivores were dominant in both altitudes, although similarity index was low (5%). Bird diversity was higher in the higher altitude due to habitat condition. Lower montain had a higher anthropogenic disturbance than the sub-mountain
Dinamika Hara Gambut Pada Penggunaan Lahan Hutan Sekunder, Semak Dan Kebun Kelapa Sawit
Peat nutrient dynamics research was intended to study the characteristics and distribution of macro nutrients in peat water and peat in secondary forests, shrubs and oil palm plantations. This research was conducted with purposive sampling method. Observations on oil palm plantations were carried out at three ages of oil palm (5, 12, and 16 years). Secondary forest and shrub peatlands were used as a comparison. Sampling of peat water and peat was carried out during the rainy and dry season, at four distances from the collection drain (25, 50, 75, and 150 m). The results showed that nutrient levels in peat water during the dry season were greater than the wet season. The status of peat water and peat nutrients in secondary forests and shrubs is relatively the same as that of oil palm plantations that were fertilized. Seasonal, land use and distance from the collection channel differences did not have a major influence on the distribution and characteristics of macro nutrients on peat. The macro nutrients content of peat water and peat, however, showed an increase with the distance from the collection channel.
Implementasi Bioretensi Untuk Pengairan Tanaman Hidroponik Di Griya Katulampa
Bogor City has been declared a City of Water Sensitivity. For this reason, each housing needs to process domestic wastewater, one of which uses bioretension, before entering the nearest surface water body. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of domestic wastewater from Griya Katulampa housing, where the drainage channels flow directly into the Ciliwung River and analyze the effectiveness of the use of bioretension to improve the quality of domestic wastewater caused. Bioretence with filter media includes 50% sandy soil, top soil 20-30%, and mulch 20-30% and the vegetation used consists of Kana (Canna sp), Air Jasmine (Echinoderus palifolius), Cyperus (Cyperus papyrus) made. Measuring the quality of domestic wastewater is carried out at the installation inlet and outlet. The result showed that domestic wastewater from Griya Katulampa was still below the specified quality standard. Bioretence with fiber media and cane plants can be used to reduce TSS as a parameter that has a value above the specified quality standard. To increase added value, water spinach can be planted as a hydroponic plant that can grow and has the highest productivity value
Fungsi Lanskap pada Zona Rehabilitasi di Taman Nasional Gunung Ciremai
Forest rehabilitation on Gunung Ciremai National Park (GCNP) has been carried out since 2008, but it has not yet known the progress of the landscape function of the rehabilitation fields. The progress of landscape function can be evaluated using landscape function analysis method which yields three indexes namely land stability, water infiltration, and land nutrition cycle. This study aims to determine the progress of landscape function in several GCNP rehabilitation zones based on the age of rehabilitation. The research method consist of: (1) determination of research location, (2) microclimate measurement, (3) measurement of soil characteristics, and (4) landscape function analysis (LFA). Land stability in forest and land rehabilitation zones (RHL) were 9, 7, and 5 years old and the natural zones respectively: 57.9%; 54.3%; 48.6%; and 56.1%, respectively. Infiltration in RHL zones aged 9, 7, and 5 years and natural zones respectively: 49%; 39.4%; 31.8%; and 36.2%, respectively. The nutritional cycle in the RHL zone was 9, 7, and 5 years old and the natural zone was 47.9%; 34.6%; 23.4%; and 29.2%. Therefore a rehabilitation zone in GCNP which is seven years or older showed its landscape function has reached even beyond the original landscape function
KAJIAN POPULASI DAN STRUKTUR KOMPOSISI VEGETASI HABITAT BUNGA BANGKAI (Amorphophallus titanum [Becc.] Becc. Ex Arcang) DI KAWASAN HUTAN BENGKULU
Abstract. The knowledge on structure and composition of Titan Arum habitats in lowland tropical rain forests of Bengkulu limit the option to formulate the appropriate strategy for conservation. The research was carried out with objective to determine the structure and composition of vegetation in the habitats located in Bengkulu. This study used purposively sampled plot with a size of 100 m x 100 m consisting of sub-plot of 20m x 20m, 10 m x 10 m, 5 m x 5 m and 2 m x 2 m for observing tree, pole, sapling and seedling. Data were analyzed to generate the following parameters: important value index (IV), diversity index of Shannon-Wienner and evenness index, interspecific association and resemblance function. The results showed that the total number of Titan Arum individuals found across 3 sampled forest sites were 52 individuals, consisting of 49 individuals at vegetative phase and 3 individuals at generative phase. Titan Arum habitats consisted of 417 species belonging to 103 families of various growth stages. Habitat in Air Selimang was dominated by Artocarpus elasticus with an important value index of 12.09%, while in Tebat Monok and Palak Siring were by Quercus oidocarpa with IV of 22.22% and Elatoriospermum tapos with IV of 31.40%, respectively. Values of diversity indices (H’) of vegetation for Titan Arum habitats for each growth stages were nearly steady (2.75 – 4.50). A similar steady trend was also observed for evenness index values of 0.640 – 0.982 at each growth stages. The vegetation of Titan Arum in Air Selimang and Tebat Monok revelaed positive interspecific association for all species, whereas in the Palak Siring habitat showed independence of species. Air Selimang Vegetation has the greatest resemblance to Tebat Monok with similarity index of 62.26.

Partnership in natural tourism utilization of protected forests area can increase the forests value, but also has a risk of damage to forest areas managed by KPHL Rinjani West (FMU). The relationship between FMU and partners can be seen as a principal-agent relationship that may have problems as adverse selection, asymmetric information, moral hazard and agency costs. The results of policy analysis, field observation, and in-depth interviews with related parties indicate that some policies provide different partnership schemes with its own advantages. Benefit by each party needs to be followed by appropriate role in partnership. Increased revenues and changes in the beneficiary system can raise potential revenue for KPH and partners
PENATAAN KAWASAN PASCA BENCANA TANAH LONGSOR DI PUNCAK PASS, KECAMATAN CIPANAS, KABUPATEN CIANJUR TANGGAL 28 MARET 2018
Landslides often occur in Indonesia, including in Puncak which is a tourist area. A landslide disaster occurred at Puncak Pass, Cipanas Sub-district, Cianjur District, West Java on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at around 08.00 PM. Typology of landslides that occur is a debris slide consisting of debris materials such as soil, rocks and large trees, and form a basin such as the shape of a horseshoe on the former landslide. Landslide occurred on the slope of the road and destroyed the hotel building, the park behind the hotel and pine forest. Many factors that influence the occurrence of landslide in Puncak Pass, from the analysis there are three main factors causing the landslide: the topography of the landslide is very steep, the occurrence of heavy rain for several consecutive days before the occurrence of landslides, and the slope which always disrupted the transport load of vehicles on it. Arrangement of landslide areas is very important to re-arrange the sustainable condition of the area against similar landslide disaster in the future. These arrangements are: handling of landslides during emergency response, determining the location of new road development, water and drainage management, cliff strengthening, land management, potentially affected settlements, and landslide disaster management.
