STATUS KEBERLANJUTAN PENGEMBANGAN AGRIBISNIS HORTIKULTURA DI KABUPATEN SUMBA BARAT DAYA, PROVINSI NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR
Abstract. This research was conducted in the Southwest Sumba regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This regency has a great potency of natural resources but with higher poverty level due to the low human resources, limited investments and available technology. The poverty can be solved through the development of sustainable horticulture agribusinesses. The multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) analysis, as a modification of the rapid appraisal of the Status of Farming (RAP-farm) method, was used in this study. The results of the analysis showed that sustainability status of the development of horticulture agribusiness in the Southwest Sumba regency was less sustainable, valued 43.72. This value was obtained according to the assessment of 37 parameters from five dimensions with different sustainability statuses, of which only ecology was quite sustainable (52.12), whereas economy (49.01), social (46.76), technology (43.8), and institutions (48.91) were less sustainable. The sensitive parameters toward the development of sustainable horticulture agribusinesses were (1) land slope and erosion frequency, (2) horticulture products prices and cultivated lands sizes, (3) government service existences and the assistance and extension intensity, (4) soil preparation techniques and compost making, and (5) the existence and conflicts among the farmer groups. ANALISIS EMISI CO2 PLTP ULUBELU LAMPUNG DAN KOTRIBUSINYA TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK DI PROVINSI LAMPUNG
Emisi CO2 yang dihasilkan dari pembangkit listrik dengan bahan bakar fosil dan non-fosil pada tingkat lokal perlu dihitung untuk memberikan gambaran dan alternatif pilihan dalam pengembangan energi listrik dengan sumber daya yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap emisi CO2 yang ditimbulkan PLTP Ulubelu Lampung dan potensi emisi CO2 dari seluruh pembangkit listrik yang beroperasi di Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) ACM0002 dari United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Tahapan dalam penelitian ini yaitu melakukan analisis emisi CO2 dan perhitungan faktor emisi CO2 dari PLTP Ulubelu, perhitungan emisi CO2 pembangkit listrik eksisting, dan analisis proyeksi emisi CO2 tahun 2017-2026. Analisis emisi CO2 meliputi perhitungan baseline emisi, emisi, reduksi emisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan PLTP Ulubelu Unit 1 dengan daya keluaran 54.17 MW menghasilkan baseline emisi, emisi CO2, reduksi emisi, dan nilai faktor emisi CO2 masing-masing sebesar 381,987.76 tCO2e, 59,898.25 tCO2e, 322,091.51 tCO2e, dan 0.126 tCO2e/MWh. Total emisi CO2 yang dihasilkan dari pembangkit eksisting sebesar 5,253,714.43 (tCO2e) dari total kapasitas daya mampu 821.6 MW dan total produksi energi 7,098,624 MWh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase emisi CO2 yang dihasilkan oleh pembangkit eksisting PLTU, PLTD, dan PLTG lebih besar dari pada produksi energinya. Sebaliknya PLTP dan PLTA persentase energi yang diproduksi lebih besar daripada emisi CO2 yang dihasilkan. PLTP memiliki tambahan kapasitas paling besar dalam proyeksi pengembangan energi listrik periode 2017-2026 sebesar 41.4% dari total kapasitas terpasang 1711.8 MW, dan emisi CO2 pembangkit listrik sebesar 7,741,500.00 tCO2e (PLTP 9.97%) di tahun 2026. Persentase emisi dari pembangkit tenaga listrik Lampung terhadap target penurunan emisi GRK dengan skenario pengembangan adalah 1.29% dan dengan kondisi BaU sebesar 1.05%
Pendugaan hotspot sebagai indikator kebakaran hutan di Kalimantan berdasarkan faktor iklim
The occurance of forest fire indonesia especially in Kalimantan is a potential threat to sustainable development. The purpose of this research is a early warning system in forest fire in Kalimantan, by estimating the hotspot as indicators based on visibility and climate data. This research using F test, T test, Multiple Linear Regression analysis, Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Principle Component Regression Analysis (PCR) Vvisibility, hotspot and temperature data have releated, meaning the very big effect with forest fire incident. Test result of T test and ANOVA P-Value less than 0.05, there is influence between independent variables in this visibility and climate factor against dependent variables in this is the number of hotspots. Relation of climate variables to 10 days forest fire in Central Kalimantan R2 adjusted is 0.4699 with F calculate larger from F table is 160.0940. Relation of climate variables to dasarian forest fire in central kalimantan as early warning system has R2 adjusted that is 0.4176 with f calculate larger from table F of 129.3551. Conclusion forest fires following monsoon character and being affected by el nino events, visibility has a closer and can be used as a indicator of forest fire and land intensity, hotspot in a relationship has a close connection with visibility and climate condition at the same decade period, used equations for early warning system for predicted fire genesis indicates with hotspot amount, compiled from climate condition 10 days
Metode Pengaturan Hasil Berdasarkan Jumlah Pohon dalam Pengelolaan Hutan Rakyat pada Tingkat Pemilik Lahan
Community forest management are individualized according the decision of the land owners and yet have a standardized manage-ment method. Characteristics of community forest have a high diversity at the level of the land owners. Community forest sustainability can be seen from the forest stand structure. The aim of this study was to obtain horizontal stand structure model and compile yield regulation method for each community forest land ownership. Information of the community forest stand in the Cidokom Vil-lage, Rumpin District obtained exploratively and preparation of the yield regulation method analyzed descriptively. Sample of sub-districts, villages, and community forest owners was determined by purposive sampling by considering the potential of community forests, technical convenience in the field, accessibility of research locations, and representation of land area data in community forest land ownership groups. From negative exponential function at community forest, obtained “k” values ranges between 39.71–2318.99 and “a” values ranges between -1.58–0.01. The results showed that the stand structure of each land owners of community forest varies and yield regulation method can be used by the community forest landowners which can be adjusted with the cutting decision and land contition to achieve community forest sustainability
PENGEMBANGAN KONSEP KEBERLANJUTAN LINGKUNGAN DENGAN PENDEKATAN ASSET BASED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (STUDI KASUS DI UIN SUNAN AMPEL SURABAYA)
The environment sustainability concepts is one of commitments at Islamic State University Sunan Ampel Surabaya (UINSA). The purposes of this study were knowing and developing of the environment sustainability concept at UINSA with approach Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), by the university facilities and infrastructure optimizing, the potential and the strength of the university. This study used a Combination Research Methods (Mixed Methods) were a methods that used quantitative and qualitative approach in the research activities. Qualitative approach were used to obtain the data from the parties that have the authority to take decisions (stakeholders). While the quantitative approach used to obtain the data from the environment university users (lecturers, staffs, and students). Data collection methods with interviews, observation, focus group discussions (FGD), literature study, and documentation. The results of this study were; 1) UINSA has potential and a major force in the development of the concept of environmental sustainability in the areas of the three responsibilities of Higher Education, UCE, and human resources, as written in the University\u27s Strategic Plan and UCE Strategic Plan year 2014-2019, 2) concept environmental sustainability is a manifestation of the university\u27s commitment to implement the teachings of Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin applied in every activity of the three responsibilities of Higher Education, UCE and environment management at university, that it embodied in the form of environmental sustainability policy, 3) stakeholders and users have high expectations regarding sustainability environment concept and can be used to realize the green campus programs
HUBUNGAN SIFAT FISIK DAN KIMIA TANAH DENGAN PERTUMBUHAN MERANTI MERAH DI KHDTK HAURBENTES
Failure in degraded forest rehabilitation was caused by using chosen species without pay attantion on site characterictics. Species selection by looking at site limiting factor, will increase success in degraded forest rehabilitation. This research aims to study the influence of physical and chemical soil properties on growth of Shorea leprosula Miq, Shorea palembanica Miq, dan Shorea mecisopteryx. Data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with mean annual increment (MAI) of height and diameter as dependent variable and soil properties as independent variable. The results showed that growth increment of S.palembanica was the most species that influnced by soil perperties with R2 adjusted value for MAI-diameter and MAI-height repectively, 0.946 and 0.674 whereas others two Shorea have R2 adjusted value < 0.5. The research also showed that available P content was the limiting factor of the three species. There was a difference of each species in respond to the available P content. MAI-height on S. mecisopteryx and MAI-diameter and MAI-height on S. pelambanica will increase in line with decreasing available P content while S. leprosula required P available increasing in order to increase of MAI-diameter. This indicates that each species have specific response on certain soil properties content
Penyebaran Dan Karakteristik Habitat Jenis Rasamal (Altingia excelsa Noronha) di Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak
Rasamala (Altingia excelsa Noronha) is one of the primary species in Halimun Salak Mountain National Park that grows in the lower mountain forests. In addition to the value of conservation, almost all parts of rasamala species can be utilized such as wood, leaves, fruit, and the canopy as a bird habitat. Information of natural distribution and habitat of rasamala are needed for conservation and cultivation purposes. The objectives of this research are to identify the distribution pattern and habitat characteristics of rasamala in Halimun Salak Mountain National Park. Research was done by make square plots with 30x30 m2 size that spread in the area of Halimun Montain 15 plots and Salak Mountain 15 plots. The analysis used morisita index to know the distribution pattern of rasamala and linear regression analysis to determine the influence of environmental factors. The result showed that distribution pattern of rasamala was clumped. Environmental factors that affect the existence of rasamala encompass altitude above sea level, slope, temperature, humidity, soil C-organic content, and N-total where the most influential factor is the N-total content of the soil. F test results on regression showed that the variables tested in Resort Cikaniki simultaneously had no significant effect on rasamala density, while the variables tested at Kawah Ratu Resort had significant effect on rasamala densit
Dampak Pembangunan Jalan Tol Bali Mandara Terhadap Ekosistem Mangrove di Teluk Benoa Bali
Ngurah Rai Forest Park, is one of the remaining mangrove ecosystems located in the Benoa Bali Bay, Indonesia. Ecosystem in this forest park is threathened due to the construction of Bali Mandara Highway. This study was conducted to determine the impact of the construction of the Bali Mandara Highway to the mangrove ecosystem in Ngurah Rai Forest Park. In this study, qualitative method was applied in order to compare the environmental parameter of mangrove ecosystem before and after construction of the highway. The construction of the Bali Mandara Highway affects several physical parameters of the mangrove ecosystem. The salinity, pH value and DO content are physical parameters which decreasing after the contruction. The decreasing also identified for current velocity, during the high tide current velocity decline to 0 - 0.44 m/s while during the low tide it goes down to 0 - 0.84 m/s. On the other hand, sedimentation area increases by 485.62 ha which causes silting. The vegetation analysis shows that Bali Mandara Highway has no significant impact to the diversity of mangrove species in Ngurah Rai Forest Park. Sonneratia alba still dominate the mangrove vegetation in those area
Dissolved Organic Carbon Flux On Forest Toposequences in Jambi, Indonesia
DOC fluxes were studied within soil profiles on forest toposequences transect of Bukit Dua Belas National Park and Harapan Forest, Jambi, Indonesia. DOC concentration was determined using NPOC (Non Purgeable Organic Carbon) method. Amount and DOC flux from soil horizons on the lower slope was significantly higher than that from the middle and the upper slopes. Amount and DOC flux from AO soil horizon was significantly higher than that from AB and B soil horizons. DOC was maximally accumulated from AO soil horizon of soil profile on lower slope during rainy season
Kelembagaan pengelolaan sumber daya pesisir Kota Gorontalo
Along with the issues of economy growth and social complexities, potency of overlap and sectoral ignorance in coastal resources use tend to increase. This condition needs to be synergized so as the use of coastal resources can maintain the carrying capacity as well as contribute to social economy. This study aims at identifying and mapping stakeholder as well as analyzing their need in the future in regard with coastal resources management of Gorontalo City. Primary and secondary data were collected respectively from FGD and various documents and analyzed by using stakeholder analysis method. There were 26 stakeholder identified involved in coastal resources use in Gorontalo City. The stakeholder mapping showed five stakeholder as subject (high interest but low influence), twelve stash key player (high influence and high interest), seven stakeholder as setter context (high influence but low interest) and two belong to crowd (low interest and low influence). The stakeholder need analysis found that there is still gap in coordination mechanism among stakeholder. Also the result of working together to address common problem is also not yet optimum.
