    Sungai di Indonesia telah mengalami pergeseran fungsi, khususnya di Jakarta. Sebagai ibukota negara, pertumbuhan populasi dan juga laju migrasi merupakan hal yang idak bisa dihindari. populasi di ibukota turut berkontribusi pada penurunan kualitas lingkungan, termasuk kualitas air sungai. sungai krukut merupakan salah satu sungai besar yang mengalir di Jakarta yang memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung aktivitas penduduk sekitar. sungai ini diperuntukkan sebagai bahan baku air minum (KepGub DKI Jakarat No. 582/1995). Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui status mutu air dan potensi beban pencemar Sungai Krukut. metode yang digunakan untuk analisis status mutu air ialah Indeks Pencemar (PP No. 82/2001). baku mutu yang digunakan ialah baku mutu air Kelas I dan Kelas II. Status mutu air sungai krukut dengan baku mutu kelas I ialah cemar berat di seluruh stasiun pemantauan, sedangkan dengan baku mutu kelas II ialah cemar sedang-cemar berat. potensi beban pencemar sungai krukut berasal dari limbah domestik rumah tangga. potensi beban pencemar total sungai krukut sebesar 669.940 kg/hari dengan beban pencemar BOD sebesar 203.562,89 kg/hari, beban COD sebesar 275.814,4 kg/hari, dan beban pencemar TSS sebesar 190.562,7 kg/hari.     &nbsp

    Migratory behavior in landscape utilization by oriental honey-buzzard based on satellite tracking data in East Flores, Indonesia

    Raptor migration is complex phenomenon of migration which involving of millions of individual birds flying hundreds or thousands kilometers, between breeding habitat and wintering habitat. Migratory behavior consisted of period, route, and other aspects that affect the ecology of migratory birds. Pernis ptylorhynchus, Oriental honey-buzzard (OHB) is one of migratory raptors which have satellite tracked by ARGOS since 2003. Eastern part of Flores Islands consisted of small islands (23 islands) were identified as OHB’s migratory path to reach their wintering habitats in Kupang and Timor Island. This study has aimed to identify and analyze the OHB’s migratory behavior in Eastern part of Flores Islands. Four individuals OHB have satellite tracked in the period of 2007-2012 were used as main data for analyzing their migratory behavior. There was no particular pattern found on the way of OHBs selected islands for their stopover site because of the existence of small islands cluster provide variety of route for each OHBs. The length of their stay found relatively constant every year and tend to be stay longer on larger islands than the smaller one such as Flores Island and Lembata Island. This is apparently due to the larger islands provide more food supply than smaller islands

    Sustainability is not only measured by the ecological aspect, but also  the economic and social aspects. In the Taman Wisata Perairan (Tourism Waters Park) of Gili Indah Village, there are 26 dive sites. In this study only used 12 point dive as study locations. Each locations have different economic value and different appeal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the economic capacity of sustainable water tourism area based on carrying capacity. Data analysis using combination of analysis between the carrying capacity of area and analysis of the economic value of the water area. The results showed that the total area of 9.404 ha of areas devoted to diving tourism, it can accommodate the number of tourist as much as 112.850 people per year, or as many as 3.762 people per day. While the existing condition indicates that the total number of visitors who made a dive as much as 15.467 people with the frequency of dives as much as 35.717 dives per year spread across the 12 point dive sites. Each rating average dives twice a day. Economic capacity based on frequency of dives amounted to 132.3 billion rupiah per year.Keywords: Water Tourism, Carrying Capacity, Economic Capacity, Sustainabilit

    Mapping of Risk Fire in Peat Land based on Hotspot Sequential Pattern Mining in District of Pulang Pisau, Kalimantan Tengah

    Land and forest fire is one of the major that caused Indonesia’s deforestation, who has a significant impact to the environment, loss of conservation, air pollution and economic loss. This research makes a spatial modelling along with factor that can affect collerates the forest fire. Spatial model of vulnerability of land and forest fire is built by composite mapping analysis method. Hotspot that is used in this research is the results of data mining processing, with sequential pattern mining technique which to find the relationships between the occurances of sequential event and pattern that often appear. From the six variables that influence land and forest fire there are four variables that impacts on the study area, that is forest zone, depth of peatland, distance of irrigation, and distance of road. The fire in the area of study occurs many times in the peatland area with the depth of 400-800 cm. Land and forest fire occurs frequently in 100-900 meters from irrigation and land and forest fire also occurs frequently in 1-4 km form the road.     Land Suitability for Cajuput Development and its Inference on Silviculture Strategy

    Cajuput is a plant that plays an important role for forest industry development. Its leaves contain essential oil and become one of the non-timber forest products. The productivity of cajuput leaves is affected by certain factors, one of them are the level of land suitability. This study investigated the land suitability for cajuput establishment and its inference on silviculture strategy. Study location was situated in Forest Resort Gubugrubuh, Gunungkidul District. Data collection was conducted in 3 site that converted as the priority site of cajuput plantation namely site 75, site 78, and site 80. We used 6 indicator of land attributes including altitude, slope, rainfall, temperature, soil acidity, and soil organic carbon. The assessment of land suitability was determined by qualitative approach using storie and root square method. The result showed the level of land suitability was classified into N1 (currently not suitable) referring to the storie method, meanwhile it was categorized into S3 (marginally suitable) according to the root square method. This study also discovered the distinctive land attributes which became the limiting factors of cajuput growth in each site. The best silviculture strategies for supporting cajuput development in each site were terrace construction, plant distance management, and fertilization

    Identification of the changing air temperature and rainfall in Bogor

    Climate datasets were analyzed to identify the changing climatic parameters and extreme events in Bogor, West Java. This study aims to analyze the characteristic of observational datasets in Baranangsiang and Dramaga, namely, air temperature and rainfall, and to indentify the changing structure of those climate parameters. The analysis has been conducted using RClimdex to understand the long-term changing air temperature and rainfall based on 10 indices for air temperature and 8 indices for rainfall. Results show that the rainfall in Baranangsiang has the daily mean of 10 mm/day and in Dramaga of 8 mm/day. The daily mean of air temperature in Baranangsiang and Dramaga is 27˚C and 25.5˚C, respectively. Generally, the declined slopes of the temperature indices in Barangsiang, namely, TN90p, TNx, TX10p, TNn, TXn, TR20, and SU25, indicate cooler temperature. In Dramaga, the increased temperature indices, namely, TN90p, TX90p, TXx, SU25, and TXn, indicate the warmer temperature. The rainfall indices generally decline, except for CDD, which indicate the increased consecutive dry days in Baranangsiang.  &nbsp

    MANGROVE GROWTH DYNAMICS AND SEDIMENT RELATIONS IN SOUTH WESTERN NIGERIA

    The mangrove ecosystem is not exempted from the fundamental interlinkages of components ensuring their functionality and development. Proper understanding of the interrelations between sediment parameters and their potential influence on mangrove growth is limited. This study examined mangrove structure across South western Nigeria, their growth dynamics, successional stage and relationship with the underlying sediments. Vegetation measurements and soil sampling (0-30cm) were carried out in one hundred quadrats of 20m by 20m. Sediments underwent laboratory analysis using standard procedures. Multiple regression was used to evaluate the relationship between the sediments and structural parameters at the 0.05 significance level. Ongoing degradation was detected, with evidence of selective harvesting targeted in the critical younger classes of <6cm, 6.1-9cm and 9.1-13cm.  Phosphorus, magnesium, pH, salinity, sodium, silt and organic carbon were significant factors, contributing approximately 53 percent to the height. Electrical conductivity, organic carbon, salinity, total acidity, pH and silt were significant factors, contributing approximately 56 percent to the girth. The mangrove forests, though at a matured stage, are endangered. Sediment parameters, especially texture, have a significant influence on mangrove growth. Preparation of specialised sediment treatments for mangrove regrowth sites and also the setting up of conservation sites should be adopted

    Disaster-Aware Tourist Development Strategy in Puncak Areas Bogor District West Java Province

    Indonesia is a country located in a disaster-prone region. Disasters in Indonesia have caused adverse impacts on the Indonesian tourism industry. Disaster mitigation efforts are needed to reduce the impact of a disaster. This study aimed to analyze disaster-aware tourist development strategy in Puncak Areas Bogor District West Java Province. The result showed that disaster-aware tourists are tourists who have a good knowledge, attitudes and behavior about disasters. Results of analysis showed that disaster-aware tourists only 25% from total tourists visited Puncak Area. Disaster-aware tourists are tourists who consciously and responsible participate in an efforts of disaster mitigation in order to minimize or overcoming the impact of the disasters especially in tourism industry. Disaster-aware tourists development strategy is imparting disaster-aware tourists behavior on tourists, developing disaster-aware tourists through strengthening the social norm, socialize and promoting disaster-aware tourists concept until adopted into a trend that can support mitigation efforts and increase disaster preparedness, optimizing the role of disaster-aware tourists to encourage supporting infrastructure and mitigation efforts policies in the tourism areas and tourism industry, the government and tourism industry providing disaster-aware tourists supporting infrastructure, increase collaboration between the government, private sector and tourists in order to mend disaster mitigation efforts in the tourism areas and tourism activity, create and implement policies or special rules that regulate disaster mitigation efforts in tourism activity and industry with strength supervison, sanctions, and enforcement

    DAMPAK PENCEMARAN FISHING GROUND TERHADAP PRODUKSI DAN MUTU IKAN YANG TERTANGKAP DI TELUK JAKARTA

    Produksi ikan yang tinggi dan mutu yang baik adalah sangat diharapkan oleh pelaku perikanan, termasuk di Teluk Jakarta.  Namun hal ini bisa terkendala bila wilayah perairan yang menjadi tempat menangkap ikan (fishing ground) berada dalam status tercemar.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi status pencemaran fishing ground dan kondisi operasi penangkapan ikan, serta menganalisis dampak pencemaran tersebut terhadap jumlah produksi dan mutu ikan yang tertangkap.  Metode analisis yang digunakan terdiri dari analisis fisiko-kimia, diagram pareto, dan analisis model.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perairan di sekitar fishing ground Teluk Jakarta tercemar kuat oleh bau, kekeruhan, sampah, dan logam Hg.  Operasi penangkapan ikan di Teluk Jakarta umumnya menggunakan kapal < 5 GT, berlangsung 1-2 hari/trip, dengan hasiltangkapan dominan berupa ikan tongkol, layang, dan layur.  Pencemaran fishing ground telah secara signifikan menurunkan jumlah produksi ikan di Teluk Jakarta (KP = -0,42, P = 0,00). Penurunan nyata terjadi pada produksi ikan layur (kelompok ikan demersal) dan ikan layang (kelompok ikan pelagis kecil).  Mutu ikan yang tertangkap juga turun secara signifikan akibat pencemaran fishing ground (KP = -0,81, P = 0,00).  Cacat mutu yang secara nyata meresahkan pelaku perikanan adalah insang kotor dan sisik berlendir.   Kata kunci : mutu, fishing ground, Hg, pencemaran, ikan     ABSTRACT   THE IMPACT OF CONTAMINATION OF FISHING GROUND TO PRODUCTION AND QUALITY OF FISH CAUGHT IN JAKARTA BAY. High production and quality of fish are very expected by fishery stakeholders, inclusive in Bay Jakarta.  But this matter can be burdened if territorial water with becoming fishing ground have contaminated status. The research aims to identify the contaminated status of fishing ground and operating conditions of fishing, and also to analyse the impact of its contamination to production and quality of fish caught. This research methods are physics and chemical analysis, diagram pareto, and model analysis. Research result shows that fishing ground in Bay Jakarta have been contaminated by aroma, turbidity, garbage, and Hg metal. Fishing operations in the Jakarta bay generally boat <5 GT, lasts 1-2 days / trip, with dominant catches form of tuna fish, float fish, and sword fish. The contamination of fishing ground have degraded significantlythe production amount of fish in Jakarta Bay (KP = -0,42, P = 0,00). The real degradationsare in production of sword fish (group of demersal fish) and float fish (group of small pelagic fish). The quality of fish caught also have droped significantly as impact by the contamination of fishing ground (KP = -9,81, P = 0,00).  Quality defect freting clearly to fishery stakeholders are dirty gills and muccous of fish scales

    Land cover/land use is one of factors which is important in land management. The changes of land cover can affect on the polcy in an area. Land cover/land use of South Lampung Regency is potentially changes. Economy, social, and population are factors that affect the change in land cover. The aim of this research were to analyze spatial change of land cover/land use in South Lampung Regency period 2007-2019 and predicting future land cover/landuse of 2031. Analysis was carried out applying Cellular automata markov chain of land cover spatial model. The result showed that Kappa for image classification was 0.86. Dominant land cover type in South Lampung Regency was plantation field of 35.47 – 36.18%. Model validation of 2031 predicted land cover was 0.946, while The types of land cover that increase in 2031 were built up area and paddy field of 96.8% and 86.5%, respectively, while paddy fields, forest, moor, body of water, plantation, shurb were decreasing approximately 16.2, 14.9, 13, 7.7, 4.1 and 1.0%. Paddy field that had the most area of decline as prediction results of 16.2%
