Waste Generation potential and Households Willingness to Pay for TPS 3 R Waste Management in Babakan village, Bogor District
Babakan is one of the villages around campus that has the potential to increase household waste, this waste problem is exacerbated by the fact that every year there are new students and residents who live in Babakan. The current waste waste management is using a collection-transport-disposal system which has an impact on decreasing the quality of residential environment. TPS 3R is community-based waste management with the application of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle towards zero waste, which can be implemented in Babakan. The purpose of this study was to examine the potential of implementing TPS 3R in households in Babakan. The analytical methods used in this research are quantitative descriptive analysis which refers to SNI 19-3964-1994 as a guideline, qualitative descriptive analysis, Contingent Valuation Method, and Benefit analysis. The result showed that the total pile of household waste, the level of participation, and the household’s willingness to pay for TPS 3R plan made it possible to implement the TPS 3R program. Operational costs for TPS 3R are affordable, although there is the potential for free riders to rise
Future Scenario for Farmland Abandonment in Karawang
The land plays a significant role in world life to continue its journey and fulfill living things’ needs. However, there is a noticeable increasing trend in farmland abandonment, directly affecting farmers’ livelihood and food security (Paudel et al. 2020). Remote sensing analysis reported that all the districts and subdistricts in Karawang Regency have abandoned land with varying numbers and more distributed more intensely in the hub of the region. The study has discovered that the total number of farmland abandonment is 28 times of the Central Beauaru Statistics has claimed. 75% producer accuracy, terminology, minimum unit data collected, land ownership, and the ability of remote sensing to read all earth reflectan are the possible answer to the disparity. Machine learning informed that the top three essential variables are the irrigation service, the hillside, and the spatial plan that drives farmland abandonment. Thus, developing a new irrigation service to access the remote farmland and reviewing the spatial that have more flavor to the agriculture are the scenario proposed by this study, while the hillside remains a constraint

Provision of land resources for the sustainable sengon raw material industry in Bedadung Jember Watershed
Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) is a mainstay commodity as an industrial raw material, so it has high economic value. The domino effect that appears is the increase in the area of sengon land and causes changes in land use. Land conversion will be vulnerable to erosion and increase the level of erosion hazards. Inappropriate land changes will also threaten the sustainability of the agroindustry, therefore it is necessary to evaluate the suitability of the sengon plant land. This study aims to identify the suitability of sengon land in the Bedadung watershed for sustainable agro-industry development. The analyzed parameters are 14 and the method used is matching and overlay. The results of land suitability analysis on dominant sengon plants were categorized as S3 "marginally appropriate" (48.07%). The limiting factor for sengon plants is rainfall as a source of water and soil solum. Efforts to increase the rainfall factor are to build reservoirs or dams, but these improvements require a lot of money and time. Meanwhile, efforts to improve soil solum are difficult because it takes a long time. Thus, the sengon commodity in Jember Regency will experience sustainability problems if the limiting factor is not found a solution
