    Analysis of Air Traffic Density using GIS, Case Study: Jakarta-Surabaya

    The growth of air transportation is encouraged by high demand to travel fast. Jakarta-Surabaya route is placed as the fourth busiest traffic in the world. This busy route still possible to increase, unless there is an alternative mode of transport to serve the demand of this route. Aircraft flies at a certain flight level that is influenced by the flight distance and the type of aircraft. Jakarta-Surabaya route is served by aircrafts with different types. This means that some flight levels between Jakarta and Surabaya are occupied by these serving aircrafts. On the other hand, at the same flight level, there will be some other planes for other routes. This research attempts to picture the density of the flight level of Jakarta-Surabaya route. The density value will be useful to predict the air quality and the available air space to add the flight frequencies. Data collection of Jakarta-Surabaya flights was aimed to identify the occupied flight level by this route. For other routes that may be crossed or in line with the Jakarta-Surabaya route, are derived from International Civil Aviation (ICAO) Charts. Incorporating the route volume resulting the traffic derivation from the charts and scheduled flight into the network attribute of GIS. Data histories of the flight density from ICAO Charts are used to predict the future density utilizing the GIS. The horizon year for this research is year 2030 where some airports will be improved into higher level airport groups, according to PM No. 69 year 2013

Partikel debu sering disebut Particulate Matter (PM) dengan berbagai ukuran. Penggolongan dibagi menjadi Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) ; PM10 ; dan PM2,5 yang berasal dari sumber organik dan anorganik. Parameter dalam mengukur paparan lingkungan yang dapat menimbulkan masalah kesehatan bagi manusia adalah pengukuran konsentrasi debu dan ukuran partikel 1-3 mikron akan masuk langsung sampai permukaan jaringan dalam paru - paru.Hasil pengukuran pada tujuh sarana menunjukkan rata – rata kadar PM2.5 melebihi konsentrasi standar (> 25 µg/m3) dan kadar tertinggi di sarana umum (75,7 µg/m3), kemudian di sarana kegiatan anak (41,9 µg/m3). Selanjutnya tertinggi ketiga di sarana transportasi (36,3 µg/m3) dan keempat di sarana kesehatan (33,1 µg/m3) serta tertinggi kelima di sarana pendidikan (25,9 µg/m3). Diantara ketujuh sarana maka sarana ibadah dan tempat kerja menunjukkan hasil pemeriksaan dibawah standart.

    Ketika melaksanakan kegiatan penelitian di beberapa daerah tertinggal, daerah terbelakang, kawasan perbatasan dan kawasan hutan pedalaman di Kalimantan Barat tahun 2015 yang lalu, ternyata hampir seluruh daerah yang penulis kunjungi, mulai kawasan perbatasan di Kabupaten Sambas, Bengkayang, Sanggau, Sintang dan Kapuas Hulu, atau kawasan hutan pedalaman di Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, kawasan Tertinggal dan Daerah Terisolir di Kabupaten Kayong Utara; Provinsi Kalimantan Barat telah mendapatkan layanan “keuangan dan perbankan” secara baik; tidak saja dalam transaksi manual tetapi juga secara online yang dilakukan oleh sebuah koperasi yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Credit Union (CU).Seterusnya, ketika penulis masuk dalam ranah pelayanan keuangan oleh CU kepada anggotanya di beberapa daerah itu, pengurus CU di daerah yang penulis kunjungi di atas telah memastikan bahwa transaksi keuangan bagi seluruh anggota telah terlayani secara baik dan transparan. Dikatakan juga bahwa transaksi keuangan itu sesungguhnya dilakukan secara online karena terintegrasi dengan system layanan yang telah terbangun di beberapa kantor pusat CU. Sebaliknya, keadaan serupa belum mampu dilakukan oleh bank operasi di kawasan-kawasan tertinggal itu. Namun, kami tetap belum ingin membuat simpulan bahwa komitmen CU ternyata lebih hebat dan lebih kokoh dibanding komitmen Bank Indonesia (BI); apakan lagi dibanding dengan komitmen Bank Operasional (BO) yang lebih berorientasi pada bisnis.Paper ini mencoba untuk melihat kendala dalam pembangunan infrastruktur layanan keuangan digital (LKD) di Kalimantan Barat yang semestinya dapat dilakukan oleh pemerintah dalam rangka memberikan layanan public kepada masyarakat yang selama ini belum tersentuh oleh layanan bank (underbanked) dan anggota masyarakat yang pelayanan perbankannya masih sangat terbatas (unbanked). mengingat layanan LKD adalah bagian integral dari layanan public yang telah menjadi komitmen dari pemerintah di negeri ini. Bukankan kehadiran pemerintah adalah untuk melindungi segenap bangsa Indonesia. Ketika jumlah mereka tidak dianggap cukup untuk diberikan pelayanan, apakah pemerintah dengan begitu saja meninggalkan mereka dan membiarkan hak-hak sebagai warga negara tidak terpenuhi di garis batas negeri? Kalau demikian adanya, maka kehadiran pemerintah di aras batas negeri patut dipertanyakan dan bahkan keberadaan mereka dianggap tidak penting dalam struktur pembentuk ekonomi politik di negeri ini

    Seepage and Slope Stability Analysis of Myittha Multipurpose Dam Project, Gangaw Township, Magway Region, Myanmar

    Myittha Multipurpose Dam Project is constructed on Myittha River to be implemented for hydropower production of installed power 40 MW and average annual energy 170 million kWh for regional development and irrigation network of 12,000 acres. Myittha dam has two portions of embankment: main dam (rockfill zone type) and long saddle dam (homogeneous type). The purpose of this paper is the evaluation of seepage and slope stability conditions of Myittha embankments (Myanmar) based on three different cases of operations: end of construction before filling the reservoir, steady state seepage and rapid drawdown of the reservoir. Seepage and slope stability analysis were done in two ways: analytical and computer approaches. Analytically, seepage analysis was done by using Laplace equation based on Darcy's law and slope stability analysis was done by using Ordinary Method of Slices and Bishop Simplified Method. This analytical approach was used to access based on the earthen dam details and geotechnical design parameters of embankment materials. On this research, SLOPE/W and SEEP/W soft-wares were used as computer approach. The analysis results presented in this research confirm the safety of Myittha dam against combined seepage and slope stability under all cases of operation

    Tangerang city is a region which has a relatively flat and inclined contour-shaped basin so that in some areas when the rains come will experience flooding. The cause of the flooding is necessary to identify the field. From the results obtained that the identification of flood discharge for the region amounted to 29.91 m³ / s with 1.65 km².Dari watershed area of this discharge can only be accommodated by the existing drainage network is only 5 m³ / sec so that the excess is what makes this region flood. For excess of 24.91 m³ / s is done by creating a polder or ponds so that these advantages can be accommodated. Polder or ponds that can accommodate this excess area of 6.3 hectares with a depth of 4 meters.     Simulation of Hydrogen Purification using Two Bed System Pressure Swing Adsorption

    Hydrogen has various functions in chemical industries, as an agent of organic compounds synthesis, a reactant in hydrocracking, hydroalkelation, and hydrodesulfurization process in petrochemical industry, a reactant in hydrogenated fat process, a reductant agent in material industry, methanol production, silicon manufacture. Therefore, hydrogen purification is very important process for the industry processes. Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is commonly used hydrogen purification process. Different utility used for hydrogen purification using PSA will change adsorbent’s capacity and pressure to separate the mixture of gas into desirable components. In this study, pressure is varied from 2 to 10 bar and adsorbents are used silica gel and activated carbon. Hydrogen purification using two beds system PSA is simulated using Aspen Adsorption software. Based on the simulation result, it can be concluded that the pressure that gives most steady system is at 7 bar, which produces 99,92 % hydrogen purity using activated carbon in bed 1 and silica gel in bed 2

    Perencanaan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Domestik di Kecamatan Simokerto Kota Surabaya

    Pada Kecamatan Simokerto tercatat 1.186 kepala keluarga atau sekitar 26,6% masih membuang air limbah domestik (black water dan grey water) langsung ke badan air atau saluran drainase tanpa ada pengolahan. Kondisi sanitasi di Kecamatan Simokerto dapat dikatakan belum sesuai dengan target Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) tahun 2015-2019, salah satunya yakni 100% sanitasi yang layak. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya upaya perbaikan sanitasi yakni merencanakan instalasi pengolahan air limbah domestik (black water dan grey water) di Kecamatan Simokerto dan biaya yang dibutuhkan.  Instalasi pengolahan air limbah domestik yang digunakan untuk Kecamatan Simokerto, yakni Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR). Perencanaan ABR berdasarkan pada kebutuhan lahan, pembangunan, pengoperasian, perawatan, biaya investasi, dan efisiensi. Penentuan debit air limbah berdasarkan hasil survei yakni 146 liter/orang/hari dan kualitas air limbah domestik BOD, COD, TSS, dan pH yang digunakan dalam perencanaan yakni 494 mg/l, 799 mg/l, 473 mg/l, dan 6,8 dengan kapasitas pengolahan untuk 100 KK.Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR) yang direncanakan memiliki 6 kompartemen dengan diameter pipa inlet 110 mm. Dimensi panjang, lebar, dan kedalaman ABR yakni 13,2 meter, 2,6 meter, dan 2,6 meter. Biaya yang dibutuhkan dalam pembangunan ABR ini adalah sebesar Rp. 173.700.000,00

    A Numerical Analysis of Wind Flow in Urban Areas

    The high population density in Vietnam create many challenges in its urban development and supply of residential housing. To accommodate the large population, the buildings tend to go vertical and high density to maximize the development ratio in the limited land space and in the conservation of natural geomorphology. The high density of building blocks reduces the permeability for wind penetration. In the extreme case, the housing estate becomes a wind-obstructing structure that could be causing to environmental problems and health hazard due to low level of ventilation follow. So, a better understanding about wind flow in urban areas could help resolve some of the main difficulties that a designer might encounter to improve the geometries of urban areas. Therefore, this article performs the simulation methodology using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools in ANSYS FLUENT software to carry out the urban wind environment in the simple planning and design urban areas. The studied parameters were wind velocity 10 m/s in the case of straight wind and in the case of 450-cross wind. CFD is an effective and efficient tool to visualize a flow phenomenon of a particular flow problem. The advanced computational technique could calculate the fluid properties at all points defined within the model domain, providing a complete set of data within the model. However, it is important to highlight that CFD technologies have not been completely reliable as model assumptions are still unavoidable for the present computational technologies to resolve turbulent flows. Understanding the limitations of CFD is crucial to reduce numerical errors and realize possible erroneous data in the model

    Desain Ipal Komunal Limbah Domestik Perumahan Sukolilo Dian Regency dengan Teknologi Constructed Wetland

    Constructed wetland merupakan  sistem  pengolahan  terencana atau terkontrol yang telah didesain dan dibangun menggunakan proses alami yang  melibatkan  vegetasi,  media,  dan  mikroorganisme  untuk  mengolah  air  limbah domestik. Constructed wetland cocok untuk diterapkan di perumahan, sehingga teknologi ini cocok menjadi alternatif pengolahan limbah domestik. Perumahan Sukolilo Dian Regency (SDR) merupakan salah satu perumahan yang belum memiliki IPAL untuk mengolah greywater, sehingga teknologi ini bisa diterapkan di perumahan ini untuk meningkatkan kualitas sanitasi lingkungan. Perencanaan sistem IPAL di Perumahan SDR mempertimbangkan aspek kuantitas dan kualitas air limbah domestik yang dihasilkan setiap harinya. Kualitas air limbah domestik menunjukkan nilai COD 320 mg/L; BOD 123 mg/L; dan TSS 60 mg/L. Sedangkan kuantitas air limbah menunjukan 453 m3/hari. Kemudian dilakukan analisis perhitungan masing-masing unit IPAL yang akan direncanakan di perumahan SDR agar sesuai dengan kriteria baku mutu pergub jatim no. 72 tahun 2013. Sistem IPAL direncanakan terdiri dari unit bak ekualisasi, Subsurface Flow Constructed Wetland dengan tanaman cattail, dan kolam indikator. Hasil perencanaan menunjukkan efisiensi pengolahan seluruh sistem untuk COD, BOD, dan TSS masing-masing sebesar 86%, 80%, dan 46%, dengan efisiensi tersebut effluent limbah cari IPAL telah memenuhi baku mutu yang ditentukan. Biaya investasi seluruh sistem constructed wetland diperkirakan sebesar Rp 5.926.417.781. Perencanaan ini menghasilkan panduan untuk operasional dan perawatan
