    Greenhouse Potential based on Ecotourism and Education for Sustainable Village Economic Resilience

    Indonesia has many rural areas with diversity and uniqueness in each region that have developed into eco-tourism. The village that is being developed as an eco-tourism destination is expected to improve the welfare of the surrounding community. Developed eco-tourism can provide jobs for residents in the village. Eco-tourism is also one of the developments to preserve ecosystems in rural areas. This eco- tourism sector can support community welfare and sustainable rural development. One approach to the development of rural areas is through village ecotourism. Village Ecotourism is a rural area with several special characteristics that can be used as a tourist destination. One way to improve the development of village ecotourism is by adding new facilities that lead to educational tourism, i.e., greenhouse facilities. The existence of this greenhouse can be used as a means of science education about a more advanced agricultural system with a controlled environmental system. Greenhouse technology can improve the quality and quantity of plant productivity, thereby increasing people's income, and producing healthier organic plant products. Greenhouses can also be used as educational tourism facilities for various science education activities and simple agricultural training. Training for residents can also be carried out, for community empowerment, such as training in planting, fertilizing, nurseries, processing plant products, and the process of packaging plant products. This review summarizes the various potentials of Greenhouse development for the development of education-based village ecotourism and provides references for further research that focuses on community service, which is increasing sustainable village economic resilience

    Review of Business Actor’s Financial Behavior in the Ultra Micro Segment

    Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an essential role in the Indonesian economy due to their high economic resilience and contribute to gross domestic product and increased employment. The number of MSMEs reached 65.47 million units in 2019, or 99.99% of the total business in Indonesia, including the Ultra Micro (UMi) segment. The banking sector targets around 57 million UMi segment customers, but 30 million of them do not have access to formal funding sources because they are underprivileged and unbanked communities. Banking provides various services for business actors in the UMi segment regarding financing, deposits, and transactions. However, they have not been widely accessed and utilized due to a lack of understanding of these services. This study aims to recommend marketing strategies based on financial behavior and the needs of the UMi segment in banking services. The approach taken is Design Thinking. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with 8 (eight) respondents of the UMi Segment business actors aged 21–55 years, with a maximum turnover of IDR10 million a month. The findings of the study reveal the crucial role of friends and neighbors; the lack of clarity in recording transaction data; the vulnerability in financial management; the shame of saving "small money" at formal institutions; the tendency to pawn in gold shops; and reluctance to deal with financial services if they have to stop working temporarily

    Slaughterhouse Waste Treatment Equipment to Produce Plant Fertilizer and Fish Feed

    Chicken slaughter process waste is divided into two types, solid waste and liquid waste. Almost all of the waste generated by the chicken slaughter process can be reused. Lately, Vocational High School in Pasuruan, East Java, has Livestock Agribusiness unit that made a waste treatment program to deal with the problem of waste from the surrounding chicken slaughter process. However, some chicken slaughter process waste cannot be reprocessed and is directly dumped into the sewer due to limited technology. The type of waste that cannot reprocess is blood and chicken feather waste. This research aims to process the waste into high-quality fish food by applying the principle of automation and integrating machines with existing chicken cutting machines. The application of this appropriate technology begins with observing the existing conditions and the process of designing, manufacturing, and testing equipment carried out at Vocational High School in Pasuruan. The research resulted in designing and manufacturing machines that support waste treatment of blood and chicken feathers from Livestock Agribusiness. The machine design consists of three main components: a blood and chicken feather grinder, a vertical mixer, and a fish feed press machine. The expectations of this machine design will support productivity and concern for waste management, which can also build environmentally friendly standards in the Livestock Agribusiness unit of Vocational School in Pasuruan

    Environmentally friendly waste processing is the process of separating waste with categories of hazardous, toxic, economic value to non-economic value. Meanwhile, the community-based management system involves community participation in the process of sorting, reducing, utilizing and handling the waste. Until 2019, the waste production of the people of Sidoarjo Regency reached around 4,700 m3 per day. However, the ability to transport waste to the Final Disposal Site is only capable of 25%. As a result of the remaining waste that is not transported, the community manages the waste by ignoring environmental procedures, such as throwing it into the river, burning it, putting it in a hole in the ground and so on. In fact, it is possible that the waste contains materials that cannot be decomposed by the environment and even toxic and hazardous materials (B3). Sidoarjo Regency has one of the Integrated Waste Disposal Sites (TPST) named Mekarsari. TPST Mekarsari has 1 unit of plastic waste sorting machine, 1 unit of organic waste chopper and 1 unit of incinerator. However, the current management of the Mekarsari TPST is still not optimal. Some of the things that cause this include the lack of equipment for waste management. Some of the handling of waste that has not been realized include the management of plastic waste mixed with other waste such as packaging plastic bags and small plastics and the handling of organic waste using BSF (Black Soldier Fly) maggots. The solution provided by the ITS Abdimas Team with BUMDes Ngingas Makmur Abadi is to make a study document on the potential development of waste management, study the need for tools/machines for waste management, and procure tools/machines for waste management at the Mekarsari TPST

    Enhancing the Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) Competency is a way to raise the chance of winning a global competition. The basic business profile should be provided as proof of the general foundation of being known as a mature business. This research provides a tool for the government to collaborate with academics to analyze SME performance. This tool is used for policy-making, and funding could be more accurate based on nearly objective criteria. This designed interface helps SMEs submit their business document online with their current self-assessment for production, marketing and all the business features. The preliminary object covers the three different cities in East Java Province. Based on the submitted document and data, academia and the government can do online assessments to complete the direct assessment through direct observations. The dashboard shows the performance based on overall equipment efficiency and adjusted indicator using a business model canvas

    The concept of a circular economy began to be launched worldwide due to the impact of increasing sustainability. The advancement of technology certainly makes it easier to implement a circular economy, especially in Industry 4.0. Several industries have implemented the concept of industry 4.0, but implementing a circular economy in the industry has yet to go well. The problem is that there needs to be a measurement of the circular level of the industry. This study aims as a literature study on determining the formulation of the circular economy index. The existence of gathering perspectives from various countries is expected to provide the application of the indicators that have the most influence on the measurement of the circular economy

    Batu City is well-known as one of the cities based on agribusiness and tourism in Indonesia. Agribusiness that is widely developed in Batu City are vegetables and fruits. Kajar Hamlet which is located in Pandanrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City certainly has great agribusiness potential as well. Kajar Hamlet also owns various forms of agribusiness with vegetable and fruit products as well as decorative flowers. But the potential that is no less interesting is the large demand for fresh freshwater fish products that come from many restaurants. Kelompok Peternak Ikan Nila is trying to develop a tilapia cultivation business. Starting from assistance from ITS-Surabaya (as university) to cultivate tilapia using cages in waterways in Kajar Hamlet and evaluation of failures due to the risk of flash floods that have occurred, tilapia cultivation was made using fish ponds by utilizing the residents' unproductive land and the adequacy of water from existing waterways without changing the main function of the waterways as irrigation for agricultural areas. This paper attempts to present the process of developing a freshwater fish farming business in Kajar Hamlet along with an analysis of the business and potential of derivative products that can be further developed

    The processed sea is one of the livelihood commodities in the fishing village of Surabaya. The production process includes cleaning, drying, cooking, and packaging activities. One of the problems faced is in the drying process. Dry on the highway makes the product unhygienic. Horizontal drying areas have a limited area for drying. The solution given to this problem is a multifunctional vertical drying area. Vertical drying racks can increase the quantity of drying up to 5 times. Product quality can also be improved because there is no drying on the edge of the highway which causes the product to be less hygienic. The multifunction of the drying area is obtained from 3 main functions: a drying place, a storage area, and an oven. The use of metal material aims to make the drying place have a longer life than bamboo. The use of metal angled holes is intended so that the distance between rack levels can be adjusted to the needs and can be added or reduced. The increase in the quantity and quality of production in the drying process is expected to increase the profits of the business of processed marine products in the Surabaya fishing village

Keranting runs in Fashion products with the application of Ecoprint. Ecoprint itself is a process of transferring patterns or colors into fabric/leather/paper media using natural materials and dyes. Meanwhile, Beelovedthings is engaged in handicrafts which are used for souvenirs and merchandise. The partners problems are un-consistent stock of products and they have not reached the turnover target because they are still doing conventional marketing. To overcome these problems, we have to obtain consistent supply of raw materials, availability of adequate equipment that can support the production process, the consistent availability of various types of products, content creation and selection of digital marketing platforms, as well as increasing e-commerce and social media traction. The results of this program are not only in the form of stock fulfillment, but also more varied content creation which can attract more customers. The availability of various digital marketing platforms makes it easier for buyers to reach MSME products with paid promotions carried out on digital marketing platforms to increase eCommerce traction
