    Produksi Hidrolisat Keratin dari Bulu Domba Limbah Industri Penyamakan Kulit Menggunakan Kombinasi Basa dan Enzim

    Limbah buang bulu yang dihasilkan pada proses penyamakan kulit menimbulkan permasalahan dalam penanganannya karena limbah ini tidak dapat segera terdegradasi. Struktur utama bulu berupa protein keratin. Protein keratin dapat dihidrolisis untuk menghasilkan hidrolisat keratin yang dapat dimanfaatkan diantaranya untuk bahan kosmetik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi enzim terhadap kadar protein, kadar air, kadar sulfur, dan gugus fungsi FTIR. Bahan bulu yang digunakan adalah bulu domba limbah unhairing konvensional. Hidrolisis dilakukan dalam 2 tahap, yaitu basa dan enzimatis. Bulu domba dihidrolisis menggunakan larutan basa 0,5 M NaOH selama 24 jam dilanjutkan dengan hidrolisis menggunakan enzim protease dengan konsentrasi 0, 2, 4, 6, 8% dan waktu 18 jam. Kadar protein keratin tertinggi pada konsentrasi enzim protease 8% dan paling rendah pada konsentrasi enzim 6%. Gugus fungsi FTIR tidak berbeda nyata pada tiap konsentrasi enzim

    Most companies find themselves in highly competitive markets nowadays. As a result, many companies struggle to manage their financial obligation to pay their supplier on time. Delayed payments to suppliers can create all kinds of issue with the supplier's cash flow. Finding a way to reduce or avoid any potential losses because of this delay is needed. Currently, data mining techniques have been widely applied to the assessment or prediction of credit scores for customers in the banking industry (credit scoring), and the most commonly used method is classification. Based on previous studies, research has been conducted to develop a data mining model to produce the best classification model to predict a customer’s payment capabilities. With the application of data mining approaches using oversampling, feature selection (FS) algorithm, including Relief, Information Gain Ratio, PCA, and multiclass algorithm, including Random Forest, SVM, One-versus-all, All-versus-all and Error Correcting Output Coding (ECOC), is expected to produce good accuracy to predict the ability of these payments.     As the growth of game industry, only few Studies in mobile games, and also focused on pre-adopting while ignoring post adoption behaviors. One intrinsic factor considered affecting gameplay is enjoyment. Some research has already conducted to understand what is enjoyment driver. Enjoyment is an external factor that influenced perceived usefulness. where perceived of usefulness is variable proposed in TAM. This study aims to examine impact the game design attribute that fit and influence enjoyment while play game and as a motive of continuance mobile game use in MOBA genre. This research adopts game design attributes of challenge, variety, novelty, design aesthetics, social interaction, playability attributes consist of perceived of use and interactivity.     Cloud computing applications remain rarely used in the banking industry in Indonesia. X is one of the national private banks in Indonesia, which is the first bank to use cloud computing application in their operations. Since it is the first bank to use such technology, the the researcher aims to measure the acceptance and ease of use of cloud computing-based applications, and to measure the level of user satisfaction with the TAM 2 method (Technology Acceptance Model 2). The researcher used the TAM 2 method because it is the development of the TAM 1 method which adds social influence and external perspective variables. Variables in TAM 2 are subjective norms, image, result demonstrability, job relevance, voluntariness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, intention to use and usage behavior. Distribution of questionnaire samples was conducted to 90 respondents in Surabaya and Bali. Data from the questionnaire were tested in terms of validity and reliability, correlation and regression, variable descriptive analysis, and hypothesis. From the results, it was found that the twelve hypotheses in TAM 2 were all acceptable and the most significant effect was the outcome quality variable towards the benefits of using cloud computing applications at 41.2%.     Application of composite materials as a alternative materials is developed, The most of composite material is polymer matrix composite (PMC), with the polymer as a matrix and the sintetic fiber such as fiberglass and fiber carbon as a reinforced, it can make a materials with intermediete mechanical properties such as strength, hardness and thoughness, between matrix and fiber. Since the synthetic fiber was dangerous for human, so recenly developing natural fiber composite with advantages of natural fiber is more environmentally friendly, and more cheap than synthetic fiber. Otherwise, natural fiber has stong enough when it use at interior automotive parts, such as dashboard. Some cars already use the natural fiber for the interior parts. The natural fiber has a big potential, especially pineapple in Indonesia, the pineapple production at East Kalimantan is 25 344 tonnes in 2014. It means a lot of leaves can be used for the natural fiber. Pineapple leaf fiber (Pineapple Leaf Fiber / PALF) has a pretty good tensile strength of 126 MPa, and Young modulus of 4405 MPa and has a cellulose content About a 70-80% cellulose, cellulose which has a crystalline structure, so it can be good reinforced for composite.     Urban housing renewal is one of the ways to solve housing problems such as environmental, social and economic degradation in the community. But housing problems is still found on post-renewal in social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects. This is probably happened because the local community is not holistically involved in the implementation of the development. This research uses qualitative method with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques through interviews to the original residents of Sombo walk-up flats, stakeholder and managers of Sombo walk-up flats and also conducted by field observations. Then, the analysis is using data triangulation. The results of this study indicate that community participation is still not done holistically in which the community is less empowered after urban housing renewal is done. Usaha ritel melayani pembelian dalam jumlah kecil maupun besar (grosir) dengan berbagai segmen pasar, strategi pemasaran yang tepat, potongan harga serta tempat berbelanja yang nyaman telah memberikan daya tarik tersendiri bagi masyarakat. Dengan pola belanja yang berubah maka tidak jarang kita lihat antrian pada kasir di waktu-waktu tertentu. Terkadang masalah lain juga muncul yaitu tidak sesuainya antara produk yang dijual dengan label yang ditempel pada rak. Disisi lain, papan promosi atau diskon juga tidak sesuai, sehingga membingungkan pembeli. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, diciptakanlah BANLEY (Barcode Scanner Trolley). BANLEY merupakan trolley belanja pintar yang dapat mengidentifikasi harga secara langsung, memiliki sensor berat yang bekerja real time serta dilengkapi dengan fitur keterangan produk, harga satuan, total harga yang harus dibayarkan ke kasir dan berat produk secara keseluruhan. Berdasarkan kuesioner yang telah disebar pada 150 responden dengan 3 variabel yang penilaian yaitu keandalan, empati, serta kepuasaan pelanggan, hasilnya valid dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach Alpha >0.60

    Model of the coil steels loading planning problem in railway carriage

    In this paper, the coil steels loading planning problem in trains is considered. This problem consists of determining the optimal assignment of coil steels to wagon slots of train in order to maximize the total weight of coil steels in railway carriage. Both knapsack problems and linear programming method are used to develop model of coil steels loading planning problem. The comparisons between the subjective adjustment method and the best solution of proposed model were conducted and were found through extensive experimental test of proposed model.
