Analysis of Factors Causing Rejection of Material Selection Based on Country of Origin (COO)
There are 19 power generation industries in East Java with a total capacity of 8000MW with various types of generation processes that work every day. To support this process they need good quality materials or equipment. Many of these equipment are produced overseas. However, the issue that is currently developing regarding the selection of materials is the Country of Origin (COO). COO is defined as the country where the last product is subject to an economic, commercial or technically significant manufacturing or assembly process. Until now, the Country of Origin has had a profound effect on material selection in tenders at the generation companies in East Java. In this study will analyze the factors that influence the selection of materials based on the Country of Origin (COO) by conducting a survey of those who have authority over the purchase of goods in the Power Generation Industry in East Java. The data obtained will be analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) - Partial Least Square (PLS) method, from the analysis results obtained that the factors causing rejection of material selection based on the Country of Origin in the Power Generation Industry in East Java is brand and product judgement
Stakeholder Analysis Approach: Who Is Authorized to Regulate the National Health Insurance Benefits?
BPJS Kesehatan (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Kesehatan) is an agency that liable to organize the nationalhealth security system in Indonesia. The health services director of BPJS Kesehatan has issued three regulations as an effort to control deficits which currently hit since 2014. The issuance of the regulations reaped controversy over its contents governing the limitation of health benefits that assured by BPJS Kesehatan. Besides that, BPJS Kesehatan has assumed not an authorized institution to issue that policy. This study aims to analyze the issuance of the regulations as a public policy. Data collection is obtained by in-depth interviews with top-level management, literature review and observation. Stakeholder analysis used to find out where the position of BPJS Kesehatan in the national health security system environment is. It will help in carrying out its functions and roles to succeed that program. Through stakeholder analysis is known that the government and the participants are the primary stakeholders of the national health security system. While BPJS Kesehatan is an agent representing the government providing health benefits to the participants. BPJS Kesehatan is not the primary stakeholder but secondary stakeholder, then the determination of any health benefits provided to the participants is an authority of the government rather than BPJS Kesehatan. Inaccuracy in the reading relationship between stakeholders could be at risk for BPJS Kesehatan in making a strategic decision. BPJS Health's lack of understanding of its authority, lead to ineffective decision-making and policies. The ineffectiveness of policies or decisions makes the goals of BPJS Health as providers of national health security programs difficult to achieve. By understanding the limits of its authority, BPJS Kesehatan able to take strategic steps according to the company's goal
Software Cost Estimation Using Function Point Analysis
Software Cost Estimation is an important activity in software development projects. Various measurement methods are widely applied to estimate software cost, and one of them is Function Point Method. Function Point (FPA) method measures the software by measuring software functionality that provided to users based on design logic. The measurement consist of several steps: calculate Unadjusted Function Point (UFP), Value Adjustment Factor (VAF), Adjusted Function Point (AFP) and estimate the software cost. Software project that became the object of this research were four licensing projects from local government with total cost 229.680.000. The estimated total cost of four projects using Function Point method is 216.956.881 rupiahs. The percentage gap between the actual with the function point that is equal to 5.54%. It can be concluded that FPA is an accurate method and this cost estimation can be used by developers in determining the cost of software to be buil
Design and Investigation of Characteristic Structure Split Ring Resonator Circular of Microwave Metamaterial Absorber Parameter in X-band Frequency
This paper explained the design and investigation of the characteristic structure of split ring resonator circular in the parameter of microwave metamaterial absorber in X-band frequency. The result showed that bigger value of inner radius circular geometry obtained the resonance frequency shifted to bigger such as 9.20 GHz to 9.30 GHz, and maximum absorption rate increased from 88.9% to 93,35%. When the inner radius smaller and the outer higher, represented the resonance frequency shifted to lower, 11.13 GHz to 9.94 GHz, and the maximum absorption rate decreased from 85% to 78,27%. In another condition, the lower gap variation affected resonance frequency shifted to lower 9.30 GHz to 9.13 GHz but maximum absorption rate increased 88.64% to 89,2%, thus opposite
Inventory Management and Reorder Point (ROP) Strategy Using ABC Analysis Methods in Textile Manufacture
Tight competition encourages textile companies to increase their competitiveness to efficient in all fields, especially by reducing material stock to its optimum figures without disrupting production operations. Currently this textile manufacture has implemented SAP as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. SAP is currently used as Material Resources Planning (MRP), purchasing and inventory control software. Purchases are made automatically using Reorder Point (ROP) and inventory control using the ABC analysis method. In time being there is no relationship between the ABC analysis method to inventory control and ROP. With this condition, the purchase order for material is raised when the stock level is lower than ROP even these unnecessary, causing the stock to become slow moving and dormant when it reaches six months laying on the warehouse and causing excess inventory. This study aims to design and implement how the ABC method can be used to determine purchasing decisions and which ROP calculations should be used. The ABC multi criteria analysis in this study shows that ABC categorization is acceptable for deciding ROP determination. This method of inventory management has the potential to reduce inventory levels up to 17% and eliminate dormant and slow movin
Automatic Self-checkout System Using SURF, Brute Force Matcher, and RFID for Payment Process Optimization at Supermarket
A long queue is common at a conventional supermarket. It is caused by inability of cashier to handle the task. Cashier could have an inconsistent performance, untrained skill, and fatigue. In addition, odd price tags could engage unnecessary conversation in giving change. This resulted on the service provided to be longer. The current solution for this problem is Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and debit card usage. As per our survey at local supermarket, the usage of RFID could extend cashier service by up to five minutes fifteen seconds for the purchase of six test goods, meanwhile the cash took up to three minutes 23 seconds. Intelligent self-checkout system has been proposed but requires a high-end graphics card. In this study, we propose an automatic self-checkout system based on Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF), brute force matcher, and RFID for payment process optimization at supermarket. The system consists of an image scanner, a conveyor set which moves the customer’s goods into scanning area. After the goods is detected, customer pay the displayed price using RFID card. The result of our experiment has 77.78% detection rate and 16 seconds of payment process. Compared to traditional method, our system is twenty times faste
Business Development Using Business Model Canvas in Lucky Star Digital Printing
Large amount of the demands for branding and spreading the information makes the business of digital printing dominate the market needs. Lucky Star located in Cepu has been operating for 5 years. Unfortunately, they do not have the right business model. To collect the data was obtain from Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Questions asked on FGD were directed to gain knowledge about the owner and employees’ wants, also customers needs. Afterwards, the data were classified according to the categories of BMC. The researcher offered BMC hope that it can lead the business become market leader. Business model Canvas is validated using the javelin board to show that problems and the solutions are correct. The results of this study indicate that customer segments must be determined with STP (Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning) strategy. The additional value proposition is create a promo, bundling products, and add delivery services. the best channel is the "word of mouth" method. Lucky Star's additional revenue stream comes from supplier because offers products at wholesale prices. Additional key resources is give responsibility to employees for financial reports and promotion sections. In customer relation aspect, give member card for customers and providing after-sales services. Additional for key activities are Quality control, business evaluation, Promotion. Strategic Planning for IS/IT of XYZ Internet Service Provider Using Ward and Peppard Method
PT. XYZ is one of the leading Internet service providers in East Java, Bali and Lombok. As an IT company that has the motto "The Quality Internet Service Provider", of course the role of IT is a significant thing, because with the IT all processes that are initially manual can turn out to be well automated. However, in practice the demand for the development of IS / IT systems from various divisions tends to be only concerned with the interests of the division itself. So that in the end the system produced by the IT Apps division to help a division is not in line with the interests of other divisions. This happens because the IT division does not have a long-term work program plan for developing systems that are adapted to the PT. XYZ business goals and become a top priority in the development of the IS / IT system. In the preparation of the IS / IT strategi c planning framework using the Ward and Peppard Model approach and in evaluating the elaboration of information systems strategic planning and business strategies using Balanced Scorecard and Critical Success Factors. Several analytical methods such as Value Chain Analysis, SWOT Analysis, PEST Analysis and Five Force Model Analysis are used to analyze internal and external business environments. Strategic Grid McFarlan Analysis is used to map application portfolios The result of this research is a blueprint of strategic plan IS/IT in PT. XYZ. Wich included recommendation for improvements in the network structure. While at the SI system is recommended for development id advanced ERP which affect the portofolio application to support the achievement of the vision and mission of the company
Assessment of Soil Infiltration Capability in Balikpapan City
This study aims to determine the ability of soil infiltration in the city of Balikpapan. The analysis begins by testing the infiltration rate in the field using Double-ring Infiltrometer. Measurements were made in 15 research locations spread across Balikpapan City. Location determination is seen from changes in land and soil type functions in Balikpapan City based on regional administrative maps, land type maps, land use maps and Balikpapan City RTRW. Furthermore, the results of field measurements are processed using the Horton model. The Horton model is one of the well-known infiltration models in hydrology. From the results of research at 15 locations, it was concluded that Balikpapan City had an infiltration rate between the range of 12 mm / hour to 240 mm / hour. Based on U.S. Soil Conservation, the infiltration rate classification in Balikpapan City is divided into four infiltration rate classes, namely fast, rather fast, medium and rather slow. Areas that have the potential to be rainwater catchment areas are seen from areas that have as many as 10 locations from 15 locations, namely Prapatan, Telaga Sari. Sources Rejo, Manggar Baru, Damai Baru, Kariangau, Gunung Sari Ulu, Margo Mulyo, Graha Indah and Mount Bahagia. So the area that has the potential as a catchment area is around 60% of all research locations. From the analysis results obtained by the type of rainwater management facilities in the form of PAHs and / or retention facilities for housing, education, trade and services with rapid, rather rapid infiltration, while PAHs and / or retention facilities and / or detention facilities for infiltration rates. a little slo
Design of PLC–Visual Studio Communication using CX–Server Lite for Automation Tool’s Crib
Role of tool’s in enterprise is important, because a machine cannot assembled if one of tool’s is not available. The problem that occured during transaction prosses of tools due to lack of information about the availability of tools, so the operator spend some time for searching the tools and the borrower is waiting for the operator. To solve this problem, a new system of tool’s crib is requied for the tools storage. This system uses web as tools availability and uses PLC instead of operator. PLC is connected to PC using ethernet cable and programmed with Visual Studio as master. But in communication between PLC and HMI cannot communicate because PLC and HMI is a differend vendor, therefore requied an application to connected them. OPC is solution for of communication between PLC and Visual Studio because OPC is special to connected different hardware and software vendor. This OPC called CX – Server Lite from Omron. The previous system is changed to automatic and called Automation Tool’s Crib and gives the fastest time than tools crib approximately 90 secondwith this communication
