Evaluation Setup Process on Rotogravure Printing Machine in Oder to Reduce Setup Time
The company carries out various ways to be able to meet customer demand quickly, one of which is to speed up the production process. In the printing process, the company encountered a problem, one of which was the high downtime caused by the setup process. The standard setup time determined by the company is 150 minutes but in fact the time required is 211.33 minutes. This shows that there are inefficient methods applied by the company. In this study, we will evaluate the work method to get errors so that the setup duration becomes high. This study will draw on the Modified Cooper Harper Scale and Single Minute Exchange of Dies (MCH-SMED) method to balance the workload between operators so that the setup time can be reduced. The MCH method is used to analyze the mental and physical workload on an operator based on a tree decision scale so that it can balance the workload between operators. SMED is used to identify on-line and off-line operations in the setup process. This study aims to produce a comparison of the standard setup times that have been set by the company and after evaluating the integration process of printing machine setup (MCH-SMED). The results of this study are to obtain a new sequence of operations that can reduce the duration of setup time to 143.19 minutes or be able to reduce the setup time by 32
Application of PS-InSAR Method for the Land Subsidence Analysis Using StaMPS (Case Study : Gresik Regency)
Land Subsudence often occurs in various regions around the world, especially big cities and coastal areas. The poor impact of land subsidence may the destruction of a region's infrastructure which caused by excessive water taking for industrial use and existing soil forming structures in the area. Therefore, it is necessary to find various inventions with the aim to mitigate natural disasters accurately. Along with the development of technology, then used adequate technology that has wide area capability. The selection of PS-InSAR method based on Radar becomes the best solution because it has good accuracy and decrease the decorrelation effect. The method used by PS-InSAR in the process of land subsidence in Gresik Regency using StaMPS at the same time with the decrease of ground level between -49.35 mm / year to 54,95 mm / year. Developing Personal Selling SOP, Improving Website and Improving Company Profile of MSME of PT. Selula Dwiphaloka Teknologi
The increasing number of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Indonesia has had a positive contribution to Indonesia's economy, but many MSMEs unable to manage their business well. PT Selula Dwiphaloka Technologi is an MSME, a family business located in Bekasi City, Indonesia, that sells a custom-design machine for B2B customer. The data were collected using business coaching methods, a qualitative research that used to mapping MSME’s condition and problem, then take a corrective action to implement solutions for improvement. The result shows that the MSME don’t have a written SOP that can be used as guidance so the personal selling activity can be done consistenly, and also the website and company profile of MSME don’t look very interesting. So, the solution is by developing SOP of personal selling, improving the website and company profile to support marketing activities. Surveys were also conducted to support evidence of the improvement result. As the results, there was a significant increase in the respondents' assessment of the visual aspects, information and overall appearance of the new website and company profile compared to the old ones. Heat Rate Gap and Cost Analysis Due to Increase of Condenser Pressure in A 660 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant
A condenser is one of the main equipment in a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) cooling system which has a great influence on steam turbine output and thermal efficiency of the whole power plant as well. The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of increase in condenser pressures on the heat rate and electricity production costs. The primary data is acquired from the DCS. These data are then compared to those of the best performance operating data. The differences of these two data of 23 parameters, are then integrated with the impact factor to gain the heat rate loss. Based on the heat rate loss, then the cost of electricity production is established accordingly. The study concludes that the increase of condenser pressure from 2.41 inHgA to 2.82 inHgA results in increase of plant heat rate 19.55 kcal/kWh. The 5 great parameters to contribute to this loss are: HP and LP steam flows, condenser pressure, stack temperatures of HRSG 1.3 and 1.2. Optimizing State-Owned Enterprises Land Assets using HBU and Value-Based Decision
Competitive business climate, lack of capital and urban land function changes have an impact on land assets that are not optimally used. State-owned land with an area of 32,495 m2 with a market value of 227,773,000,000 rupiah contained a cultural heritage building. The land is located in the east Kalimantan corridor, trade zone and service, which is the waterfront city development area of the city of Surabaya. This study aims to optimize assets and find the best development alternatives in asset utilization to become a profit center for the company. Based on surveys and interviews, found that the possible development alternatives to be carried out were Mixed Use Commercial (a1), Diesel Engine Industry (a2) and Maximize Workshop capacity (a3). Highest and Best Use (HBU) was found to be one of the techniques of decision making in the development of land and property. HBU criteria are used to build a value-based decision hierarchy. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to develop decision making processes based on preferences and the best choices. The best alternative is obtained from the Satisficing Option calculation. This result is obtained by comparing functions to costs. The function is obtained from the HBU criteria and costs come from the estimated initial costs and life cycle costs (Life Cycle Cost). Based on financial analysis calculation obtained that mixed-use commercial development has the highest and best use Net Present Value (NPV) IDR 2,470,771,622,513 with an investment cost of IDR 1,367,230,380,324. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 20.66% with a payback period of 6.70 years. Based on AHP analysis with HBU-Value Based Decision criteria and Satisficing Option calculations it was found that the mixed-use commercial property development is a development alternative chosen by stakeholders to optimize BUMN asset
Strategy Selection of Property Business in Transit Oriented Development Area (Case Study PT. XYZ)
The property business in 2018 did experience a downward trend because of the high backlog caused by oversupply. But the prospect of the property business in 2019 is quite promising and is believed to continue to prosper. The research base is a case study at PT XYZ, one of the subsidiaries of BUMN Construction Services which is engaged in the development of the property of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Jakarta. This study aims to obtain a superior strategy in the competition of the property business in the TOD region which makes added value for PT XYZ so that it can compete with other developers. The company's strategy for PT XYZ was formulated using David's strategy formulation framework, which consisted of input stages, matching stages and decision stages. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to determine the weight of internal and external strategic factors and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) to determine alternative chosen strategies. Based on the results of the QSPM assessment of PT XYZ, founded the construction and pre cast concrete division strategy gets a Total Attractive Score (TAS) of 5.60, higher than PT XYZ cooperates with top property marketing companies for 3 years strategy that gets a score of 4.1
Inertial Navigation System Design Using Inertial Measurement Unit 10 DoF on Diver Propulsion Vehicle
Navigation system on DPV uses an analog compass to display the direction of the displacement angle of the vehicle through the degree of angle and the cardinal direction. It can’t display other data, such as the orientation angle and dive depth, which are needed to optimize the performance of DPV. INS is used as navigation system, where within the system there are IMU and computer device. INS works with measuring linear acceleration, rotation rate and magnetic field using accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer on IMU. The reading result are processed by computer device using digital low-pass filter, Madgwick quaternion, and Euler angles to obtain angle orientation data in the form of roll, pitch, and yaw angles. The IMU on INS is configured with a pressure sensor that works with measuring hidrostatic pressure to obtain dive depth. Obtained results of orientation angle measurements that has the furthest error value of 3.00o, with the furthest average error valueof 0.96o, and the furthest noise value of at steady state of 1.00o. Results of depth measurement has furthest error value of 2.00 cm, with furthest average error value of 1.30 cm, and furthest noise value at steady state of 0 cm
Selection Alternative Electrical System Design at Property Mall, a Case in Ciputra World Surabaya Phase 3
A superblock area has a high complexity, both in the development process and later when it is operational, so it required the right design at the beginning. At project Ciputra World phase 3, especially on the electrical system (PLN combination with generator), required the selection of appropriate design. In determining the design which will be used there are several considerations, so the decision will be made is an alternative that has the highest value. The considerations in determining the design of this project are the Initial cost, Maintenance Cost, Energy Cost. Based on the background above, the methodology to be used in determining the selection of the best design for the electrical system in Ciputra World phase 3 is a Life Cycle Cost Analysis, where the costs of each alternative will be compared. The results of research show Cost of alternative 1 about IDR 570 billion (1 PLN – Diesel Engine), Alternative 2 about IDR 555 billion (1 PLN – Diesel Engine – Gas Engine) and Alternative 3 about IDR 580 billions (2 PLN - Gas Engine). The best alternative design based on LCC is alternative 2 (1 PLN – Diesel Engine - Gas Engine
Mechanical Property Improvement for Aluminum Alloy Al-7Si with Additive Material of Al-TiB and Heat Treatment of T5
Aluminum alloy Al-7Si is suitable for material of wheel rim of racing car, however its mechanical properties has not met the required standard JIS H5202, so it needs to be improved. Improving mechanical properties can be done by adding element alloys and heat treatment. This present research in concerning with Al-TiB enhancement into the Al-7Si aluminum alloy to increase the Titanium content of 0.13%w to 0.14%w, 0.15%w, 0.16%w until 0.21%w. Therefore, these samples were treated by heat treatment T5. The Addition of Al-TiB caused the micro structure of the grain become smaller and softer, and also increases the mechanical properties (UTS and Hardness), but it has not met standard JIS H5202 yet. After heat treatment T5, the form of grain change from ellipse to circular, the mechanical properties improve significantly and beyond the standard JIS H5202
Design of Decision Support System in Selecting Cement Vehicles Based on Driver Performance, Expeditor Performance, and Waiting Time
Current logistics developments affect a process in any company using third party logistics. Third party logistics is a distribution service, warehousing carried out by third parties (outsourcing). Third party logistics in its business practices has been owned by many parties. PT Z is one of the companies engaged in the cement industry which has a lot of cooperation with third party logistics. PT Z has assessed the expeditor partners. The problem that occurs is the problem of each driver and expeditor in the field agreeing to the same. There are some expeditors who have good performance and vice versa. In the midst of tight business third-party logistics resulted in each expeditor competing with each other and providing the best service to his clients. This research makes a decision support system by examining aspects that make the consideration of the selection of drivers and expeditors to be used for the transport of cement in PT Z. The method used in this study is the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) according experts’ opinion in cement industry. Research uses decision support systems based on web information systems as an application method. This research can determine the choice of the driver and expeditor who has the best performance to carry out the cement transportation process at PT Z by considering the driver's waiting time.
