Development of Personal Selling Standard and Improvement of MSME X's Wedding Promotion Material
Currently, the type of industry that still growing is the wedding industry. The increasing number of marriages in Indonesia contributes to the need for wedding services. MSME X owners seek the opportunities needed to provide services and various options for the needs of marriage. MSME X is currently held in Jakarta and Bekasi. This study discusses the business coaching process report MSME X personal selling and improving promotional materials in the form of brochures to attract consumers. The challenge in selling wedding services is that consumers cannot feel or touch services first. Preliminary analysis shows that salesperson use brochures as sales aids, there are differences in the level of sales competency among marketing employees, so personal selling activities are not optimal and affect the company's sales targets. Primary data collected through in depth interviews and observations, while secondary data is obtained from owners, the internet, and management books. The collected data will be analyzed using qualitative methods. This research focuses on the formulation of personal selling standards, and improvement of promotional materials as a tool for salesperson in conducting sales of wedding services. The results of this business coaching process explain the steps that can be used to conduct wedding service sales and the effect of improving promotional materials that help resolve limitations in the marketing aspects of MSME
Characterization Speckle Effect on Measurement of Blood Flow Using Sensor Based on Self-Mixing Interferometry
The applications of Self-Mixing Interferometry (SMI) have been popular in many fields, including biomedical signals. The self-mixing effect occurs from the coherent back-coupling of the reflected or scattered lights from a target surface. The reflected lights will be detected by a photodiode which has been integrated in one device with the laser. That's why the SMI sensor is quite practical, affordable and simple. However, SMI has the serious problem with the presence of speckle effect in measured signal. The speckle effect produced by the human tissue is called “biospeckles.” The biospeckles observed from the skin tissues contain information about the blood flow in dermal capillarities, heartbeat, and others. These biospeckle patterns cause random modulations that will be detected as random amplitude and spectrum by photodiode. In this paper we present a technique to characterize speckle effect on measurement of blood flow in fingertip using sensor based on Self-Mixing Interferometry (SMI). We used a laser diode 785 nm as a light source and a constant current of 70 mA as a current source which is irradiated on the skin tissue in the fingertip. Then, the backscattered light reenters the laser cavity and it will be detected by photodiode. The SMI signal with speckle effect will be processed by Continuous Wavelet Transform for reconstruction and detection fringe. Signal processing results show that the number of detected speckle fringes depends largely on determining the number of wavelet waves and the scale used. The fringe pattern resulting from the reconstruction of the signal can be used to determine the frequency of speckles due to object movement. The average speckle frequency of fingertip is 0,5-0,7 H
Optimization of Travelling Water Screen (TWS) Components Replacement in Cooling Water System (Case Study on PLTGU Muara Tawar Blok 1)
Traveling Water Screen (TWS) in cooling water system is one of the main cooling equipment of a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) generator, which has a considerable impact towards the steam turbine’s power output and thermal efficiency of the generator in general. This research aims to understand the distribution of TWS component failure which occurs in the filtration process of the cooling water system under the current operating condition, and operational expenditures correlated with it. The analysis started with the collection of TWS maintenance data between 2003 to 2017. Then, the distribution of failure is characterized by using available statistical software. Mathematical models were used to determine optimum replacement policy for each component, based on failure distribution data and replacement/maintenance cost. The optimum replacement interval and minimum replacement cost varies between TWS components. The optimum replacement intervals for each component are as follows: 43.4245 days for bearing bushing; 19.9785 days for bolt, sock head M.16; 40.9505 days for bolt, sock head M.12; 27.6088 days for rubber seal; 48.4359 days for pin, straight plain, 25.4 mm; 88.4978 days for ram, wiremesh; 69.471 days for pin, straight plain, 27/30 mm; and 29.2394 days for nut, hex M.8. The minimum replacement costs for each component are as follows: Rp4,383,400/day for bearing bushing; Rp5,706,850/day for bolt, sock head M.16; Rp12,671,400/day for bolt, sock head M.12; Rp7,247,630/day for rubber seal; Rp6,308,610/day for pin, straight plain, 25.4 mm; Rp5,522,590/day for ram, wiremesh; Rp5,032,190/day for pin, straight plain, 27/30 mm; and Rp4,770,530/day for nut, hex M.8. The experimental study of the effect of screw and adhesive connection in the variation of cold-formed roof truss framing system
onnections with screws are used extensively to connect cold-formed steel (CFS) structural element, especially in the roof truss framing system. However, these connections cannot be relied upon to transfer loading due to the small thickness plates that result in more slender elements which are susceptible to local or distortional buckling and have low stiffness. Therefore, some improvements are made in this study by adding adhesive as the alternative connection. Three types of roof truss framing system are designed with a different connection, i.e. screw, adhesive and the combination of screw and adhesive. The study aims to investigate the behavior of frames connection through experimental studies with the given static load until the frame structure collapses, with attention to their initial (pre-slip) stiffness, elongation, and load-deformation capacity. As a result, the stiffness of adhesive connection given a lower value than screw connection. It is indicated of the delamination process, that the combination connection implied the better behavior with 50% screw reduction as well as increasing the load-deformation capacity with 69.7 mm, three times higher than the screw connection
Strategic Planning for Systems & Information Technology of XYZ Hospital Using Ward and Peppard Method
XYZ Hospital is one of the busiest private hospitals in Badung, Bali which has implemented systems and information technology handled by its IT division staff. However, the implementation of systems and information technology has not been equipped with strategic planning so that it has not been directed and aligned with the company's business strategy, only based on demand. The impacts of there's no strategic planning systems and information technology is the companies are difficult to invest appropriately based on system requirements and information technology that can support the company's business strategy. Increasing the competitive advantage of utilizing systems and information technology still not optimal because the development of IS / IT lack directional and appropriate. Therefore, to overcome the problems, in this research is making strategic planning of systems and information technology of XYZ hospital, which carried out with Ward and Peppard method which serves to produce an IS /IT strategic plan that can help the company to run their process business more effectively as well as add its business value. The analysis techniques used are Value Chain, PEST, Porter 's Five Forces, SWOT, BSC, CSF, gap analysis and Mc Farlan's Strategic Grid. From the results of the analysis of the current condition of the company shows that XYZ Hospital is in the position of quadrant 1 which indicates the company should be focused on an aggressive strategy where reduce weaknesses and avoid threats to get maximum benefit. The recommendations for future application portfolios obtained are three applications in the high potential quadrant, one application in the strategic quadrant and two applications in the key operational quadrant. Three-Dimensional Simulation of The Water Flow in Cilacap’s Water, Indonesia
Modelling of the water flow distribution in Cilacap’s water, Indonesia is challenged by geographically properties. This area is a strait adjacent to Indian Ocean with a strong current flow characteristic. A three‐dimensional model has been developed to understand the pattern of the flow and the sediment distribution in this waters. The parameters used in modeling includes hydro-oceanography, such as tidal, river discharge, bathymetry and sediment. River discharge that used came from Donan and Yasa River. In this research current and sediments model will be makes using numerical simulation with hydrodynamics equations. Based on the hydrodynamic simulation, at the spring tide period, the average and the maximum current magnitude are 0.6m/s and 0.8m/s respectively. But at this time the cumulative erosion/sedimentation is not too large. During the neap tide, the average current magnitude is 0.2 m/s and the sediment is moving significant at river. So in this time experience a great erosion/sedimentation. The dominant type of sediment in this waters is a type of sand. The sediment deposition in this area affects the shipping lane, particularly in the vicinity of the jetty.
Community Adaptive Capacity of Changes in The Social-Ecological System of Sub Das Amprong In The Village of GubukKlakah, Malang
Rural areas are currently faced a spectrum of changes that vary from changes in ecosystem conditions to their socioeconomic impacts. Each rural condition has different resilience in accordance with the respective social ecological conditions. The purpose of this research are: (1) Describing the social ecological conditions of the Amprong Sub-watershed community in GubukKlakah Village; and (2) Identifying the adaptive capacity of the community for changing socio-ecological conditions. This research uses qualitative approach. Research informants were determined by snow ball sampling and data collection was done through in-depth interviews. Data analysis was performed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman while the validity data was carried out by triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that the social ecological conditions of the community including suitable climate, thick top soil which is more than 50 m, and agricultural products’ quality. The vulnerability could be caused by both ecological and economic factors. Ecological factors included topographic contoured soil could cause erosion, decreasing in soil fertility, and drought. Thus, fluctuated commodity prices could also generate the vulnerability. The adaptive capacity of the community in responding to this vulnerability is demonstrated by organic fertilization, intercropping planting systems, and rejuvenation arrangements to regulate harvest time
Feasibility Study Wear Rate Measurement Using 3D Scan Imaging
This paper studied on optimizing the 3D scan parameters of flared chisel bucket teeth as a worn component to achieve prospect scanning micro wear in different percentage of volume loss. Taguchi L8 orthogonal array was used to design of experiment. Specimen composed in three different volume loss 1%, 3%, and 5% were scanned to obtain model CAD volumes. Volume dissimilarity was calculated by comparing model CAD volume and mass – density conversion. Shutter Time, grid, distance, and meshing were chosen as 3D scan parameters. Biggest effect and optimal scanning parameter were determined using the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio which was calculated for volume dissimilarity according to the ‘‘the-smaller-the-better’’ approach. The effects of scanning parameter were evaluated by analysis of variance. 3D imaging feasibility study for small volume measurement could be a critical point in micro wear measurement. The statistical analysis indicated that the parameters that have the biggest effect on volume dissimilarity with 1%, 3%, and 5% volume loss are the meshing method and distance, respectively. The optimal setting parameter capturing image is 12 ms shutter time with normal meshing above 15 mm distance. The success of a company is often seen in the company's human resources. Increased employee performance is very important for human resource management in companies that assist individual development, improve organizational performance, improve employee productivity and for the achievement of long-term objectives of the company. This research proposes is going to suggest the factors to improve the employee's motivation and performance. The pattern of these factors can be used as one of supports to improve the employee's performance in PT.XYZ. PT.XYZ hasn’t “tools” yet to find and improve the employees performance. This study uses data from questionnaires with Likert scale and calculated by using relative importance index (RII) to determine the importance of fuzzy factor and logic to see the influence and prediction value of employee performance improvement level. Identification of Coral Reef Conditions Using Hydro-Acoustic Technology in Giligenting Island, Sumenep Regency Indonesia
Coral reefs are one of the major ecosystems in the coastal region with high biodiversity and resource level. As productive ecosystems with high economic and ecological potential, the existence of coral reef ecosystems must be sustainably managed. One of the areas with high diversity of coral reefs is Giligenting Island located in Sumenep regency. This research was conducted by taking primary data in the form of tidal data, bathymetry data and Side Scan Sonar recordings. From the primary data and then processed until produces 3 dimensional model of seabed features that are then interpreted and analyzed to obtain information about healthy or damaged coral reefs, using underwater geo-tagged photos to validate. The 3-dimensional model has a maximum depth of 7.667 meters and 1.403 meters at minimum depth with an area of 100,536.097 m2. From the interpretation of Side Scan Sonar acoustic images it is found the area of sand feature is 30.79%; the area of mud feature equal to 29.94%; the healthy coral covering 35.75% of the survey area, consisting 10.09% of coral reef barrier reef feature, and 25.66% of small coral reef feature; and 3.52% of damaged coral reef feature from total 43,527.110 m2 Side Scan Sonar survey area
