No full textClathrus delicatus is a small cage fungus and it is considered as one of the advanced species in Clathrus. To date, there has been no record of C. delicatus from Indonesia. This work was aimed at clarifying the taxonomical identity of Indonesian Clathrus specimens based on morphological and molecular evidence. The fresh specimens were described based on the macro- and micromorphological characters. Molecular identification and phylogenetic tree were performed using the ITS region. Both morphological identification and phylogenetic analysis confirmed our specimen as Clathrus delicatus Berk. & Broome. Clathrus delicatus FIPIA-DEP44 is very unusual, with tiny white to cream basidiomata and having glebifers at the intersection of the arms that distinguish it from most species in Clathrus. However, C. chrysomycelinus and C. oahuensis produce similar glebifer structures. The BLAST result showed that our specimen has 96% similarity with C. delicatus. In addition, the phylogenetic tree (Maximum Likelihood) nested our sample in the C. delicatus clade (99% bootstrap value). The current study reports the first occurrence of C. delicatus in Indonesia, which can be used for the future studies on Phallales
The Open Society in the Twenty-First Century: Comparative Critical Cartographies for Assessing and Designing in ‘t Hool, the Netherlands and Montbau, Spain
No full textToday’s urbanization pressures present complex challenges in sustainable and socio-ecological transitions. Historical planning tools and theories, such as the Open Society concept, offer alternative approaches to regeneration and inclusivity. Critical mapping is a growing method in urban regeneration. However, we observed that this tool has not been sufficiently explored in a comparative fashion. In this paper, we examine the Open Society concept by comparing and contrasting ’t Hool, Eindhoven and Montbau, Barcelona to assess the concept’s continuing relevance for the regeneration of Modernist housing in the twenty-first century. We construct a comparative critical cartography using mixed-methods (mostly qualitative) to highlight interspatial relations on both neighborhoods. This method is a tool that aids us to highlight power-knowledge relations and detect spatial patterns from different fields, to extract site-specific lessons that inform urban regeneration. This research bridges the gap between theory, design and practice providing tools and comparative approaches to promote more transdisciplinary and more holistic approach to space and place. Addressing the complexity of space with a creative and systematic approach should address the relativism of site-specific knowledge and turn it into more generalizable lessons for urban regeneration

No full textThis paper deals with a passage from Silius Italicus’ Punica (v 28-33): Flaminius’ army marches towards Lake Trasimene disregarding the divisions between the troops and the usual order of march. This section reworks both historiographical and poetic intertexts (notably Livy and Lucan) and has a parallel in Statius’ Thebaid. The disorder of the troops before the battle at Lake Trasimene, which corresponds to the recklessness of the commander and foreshadows the defeat, is paralleled by Varro’s speech at Cannae, which incites insubordination among the soldiers (Sil. IX 23-37). The theme of the ‘chaotic army’ also appears in some passages of Tacitus’ Historiae, where lack of discipline is treated as a symptom of civil war. It is therefore possible that this theme was also associated with civil war by Flavian poets, who lived through the nightmare of 68-69.L’articolo analizza una pericope del libro V dei Punica di Silio Italico (vv. 28-33), in cui l’esercito del console Flaminio marcia verso il lago Trasimeno senza rispettare le divisioni tra le truppe né l’ordine consueto, prendendo in considerazione i suoi modelli storiografici e poetici, soprattutto Livio e Lucano, nonché un parallelo nella Tebaide di Stazio. Il disordine delle truppe prima della battaglia del Trasimeno, che riflette l’avventatezza del comandante e lascia presagire la sconfitta, anticipa ciò che accadrà a Canne, dove Varrone, prima della disastrosa battaglia, fomenta l’insubordinazione dei soldati (Sil. IX 23-37). Il motivo dell’esercito caotico emerge poi in alcuni passi delle Historiae tacitiane, dove l’assenza di disciplina diviene quasi un sintomo della guerra civile: anche nella poesia flavia, dunque, esso potrebbe associarsi alla memoria di un incubo appena rivissuto con le lotte per la successione del 68-69

The article highlights their value as important sources for interpreting historical events from multiple perspectives, with particular attention to the viewpoint of subordinate classes, often excluded from canonical narratives.Il presente contributo propone alcune attività scolastiche di educazione alla pluralità basate sull’utilizzo dei canti di tradizione orale nello studio della storia. L’articolo ne mette in luce l’utilizzo quali preziose fonti per la lettura dei fatti storici da diverse prospettive, con particolare attenzione al punto di vista delle classi subalterne, spesso escluso dalle narrazioni canoniche
