PENGARUH KONSENTRASI PEREKAT TERHADAP LAMA BAKAR DARI RDF AMPAS KOPI DAN AMPAS TEBU
New and renewable energy (EBT) is a source of energy that can be created by humans by utilizing solid waste from industrial processing. One example of making renewable energy is RDF. Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is a form of solid waste utilization that is used from industries and households which have a high calorific value which can be used as a new alternative fuel. RDF is the treatment of waste which is used as an alternative energy material. The materials used to make RDF in this study are coffee grounds and bagasse. For the manufacture of coffee grounds and bagasse are mixed and adhesive is added. The mixture ratio is 100: 0, 30: 70,50: 50,70: 30, and 0: 100 for adhesive concentration using 10%, 20%, and 30%. The finished RDF-5 is tested by testing the burn time. Tests were carried out at the Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering Education, FKIP UNS. The method used an experimental method. The variables examined in this study are the independent variables, the dependent variable and the control variable. The free variation consists of variations between the composition of coffee grounds and bagasse with the following ratios 100: 0, 70:30, 50:50, 30:70, and 0: 100 as well as variations in adhesive concentrations of 10%, 20%, and 30%. The dependent variable consists of burn time. The control variables consist of the RDF-5 printer with a pressure of 6 kg / cm2 and a filter used with a size of 10 mesh. The best test results for burning time are 30 bagasse + 70 coffee grounds mixed with 30% adhesive concentration with a result of 1370 seconds
HUBUNGAN KETERLIBATAN ORANG TUA DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN PRODUKTIF SISWA KELAS X KOMPETENSI KEAHLIAN TEKNIK KENDARAAN RINGAN SMK BHINNEKA KARYA SURAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2015/2016
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) adanya keterlibatan orang tua berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran produktif siswa kelas X SMK Bhineka Karya Surakarta Program Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (2) Pengaruh motovasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran produktif siswa kelas X SMK Bhineka Karya Surakarta Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan serta silmutan prestasi belajar terhadap keterlibatan orangtua dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan penelitian korelasi. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa X SMK Bhineka Karya Surakarta Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dengan jumlah 109 siswa. Pengujian penelitian ini menggunakan variabel yang terdiri dari 2 variable bebas yakni pengaruh keterlibatan orang tua dan besarnya motivasi belajar, serta 1 variabel terikat yakni grafik prestasi belajar produktif. Penyebaran angket dan kemudian didokumentasikan merupakan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dengan signifikan pada pengaruh keterlibatan orangtua terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran produktif siswa kelas X SMK Bhineka Karya Surakarta Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (r hitung> r tabelatau 0,240 > 0,212 pada taraf signifikansi 5%), (2) Adanya hubungan yang positif dengan signifikan pada motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran produktif siswa kelas X SMK Bhineka Karya Surakarta Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (r hitung > r tabel atau 0,219 > 0,212 pada taraf signifikansi 5%), (3) Pengaruh hubungan positif yang signifikan pada keterlibatan orang tua dengan motovasi belajar yang terjadi secara simultan prestasi belajar mata pelajarn produktif siswa kelas X SMK Bhineka Karya Surakarta Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (Ry = 0,342 dengan F hitung > F tabel atau 5,501 > 3,11 pada taraf signifikansi 5%), dapat ditarik hipotesis bahwa yang dikemukakan terbukti kebenarannya
KAJI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGGUNAAN KOMPOSIT KAMPAS REM SERAT IJUK PADA SEPEDA MOTOR YAMAHA JUPITER Z
The aims of this study are: (1) To test the value of Hardness composite brake lining palm fibers (2) To test the wear rate of the brake lining from palm fibers (3) To estimate the using period of the brake lining from palm fibers. This study used an experimental method. The analysis technique in this study was used descriptive analysis. The wear rate of palm fibers brake pads was tested by using road test. Sample of this research taken by purposive sampling method. The sample of this research is composite palm fibers brake pads with 55% palm fibers, brass powder (Cu-Zn) 15%, magnesium oxide (MgO) 20%, and 10% epoxy resin. Comparison of composite material was mixtured by using comparison of mass. The result of this study are: (1) The value of hardness the composite brake lining from palm fibers approached the brake lining that are on the market, where the Brinell Hardness test results of composite brake lining from palm fibers 10.07 BHN and brake lining Indoparts 12.67 so composite brake lining palm fibers can be applied on a motorcycle, (2) The wear rate of the brake lining palm reached 0.000314 mm/km, (3) The test results showed that the using period of composite brake lining palm fiber that have a thickness of 5 mm can be used reach 14 331 km or 107 484 times braking, this proves that the brake lining of palm fiber is recommend to produce
PENCAPAIAN KOMPETENSI SISWA KELAS X PROGRAM KEAHLIAN TEKNIK OTOMOTIF SMK BHINNEKA KARYA SURAKARTA PADA MATA PELAJARAN KOMPETENSI DASAR OTOMOTIF TAHUN PELAJARAN 2015/2016
The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the Basic Competency Standard of the Automotive Expertise Program in Grade X of Bhinneka Karya Vocational High School of Surakarta in academic year 2015/2016; (2) the students’ learning result; and (3) the students’ ways of thinking to improve their learning result through the application of the 2013 curriculum. This research used the descriptive qualitative method, which described its objects of research holistically based on the reality in the field and which aimed at describing the facts being studied systematically and accurately. The data sources of the research were the teachers and the students in Grade X TO B of the Automotive Expertise Program of Bhinneka Karya Vocational High School of Surakarta. Its data were collected through observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. They were analyzed by using the interactive model of analysis comprising data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The attainment of competency particularly in the Automotive Basic Competency subject matter of the students of Bhinneka Karya Vocational High School of Surakarta can be improved through the application of 2013 curriculum. The application of 2013 curriculum is more efficient in assessing the students’ attitude, knowledge, skill, and spirit aspects as indicated by the results of their final test of the second semester in which following the application of the 2013 curriculum, their learning achievement increased by 22.74% from 36.36% to 59.1%.
PENGARUH KUAT ARUS PADA PENGELASAN PADUAN ALUMINIUM 6061 DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE LAS TIG TERHADAP KEKERASAN DAN STRUKTUR MIKRO
The objective of research was to find out the effect of current on microstructure and hardness value in Aluminium Alloy 6061 before (raw material) and after welding using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding method with filler rod ER4043. This research uses experiment methods. Technique of analyzing data used was a descriptive comparative research. The instruments used for testing microstructure and hardness were Olympus Metallurgical Microscope and Vikers Hardness Tester. Base on the result of research, it could be concluded that the result of microstructure testing showed the reduced Mg2Si phase width after welding. In raw material, the Mg2Si phase seemed to diffuse surrounding the α-Al phase surface, but the result of welding using TIG welding method with current of I00 A, 110 A, and 115A showed that Mg2Si phase reduced in each specimen, so that α-Al phase was very dominant. The hardness value of hardness result showed the different hardness level. The specimen with current of 110A had higher hardness level of 65.4 VHN than the specimen with current of 100 A (55.7 VHN) and 115 A (55.9 VHN). The result of hardness testing on raw material was 120.4 VHN. This research showed that the welding using varying current changed microstructure and affected the hardness value of Aluminum Alloy 6061
UPAYA MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PRACTICE REHEARSAL PAIRS PADA PEMBELAJARAN PRAKTIK PEMESINAN KELAS XI TMB SMK BHINNEKA KARYA SURAKARTA
The research is intended to improve successfully learning motivation and achievement in Mechanical Engineering B, 11th grade at vocational high school of Bhinneka Karya Surakarta in Machinery Practical Learning using Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning model. The research is Classroom Action Research that conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages, there are: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The instruments to collect the data, there are questionnaire, interview, test, observation, and documentation. The data was carried out using descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of research showed that there is an improvement in students’ learning motivation and achievement. The student’ learning motivation increased from 74.5% in cycle 1 to 92.59% of students having learned motivation belonging to minimally good category in cycle 2. The students’ cognitive learning achievement increased from 66.67% to 88.89%, the affective learning achievement increased from 81.48% to 85.19%, and the psychomotor learning achievement of students increased from 74.07% to 88.89% of students who could achieve MPC
PENGARUH VARIASI PENAMBAHAN FLY ASH & BENTONIT TERHADAP SIFAT PASIR CETAK DAN CACAT GASHOLES PADA HASIL PENGECORAN LOGAM ALUMINIUM
The objectives of this study to describe: (1) The effect of adding fly ash and bentonite to the permeability of molding sand. (2) The effect of adding fly ash and bentonite to the moisture of molding sand. (3) The effect of adding fly ash and bentonite to gasholes defect on aluminium metal casting. This study is conducted at Polytechnic of Manufaktur Ceper, Klaten. The method that used is pre-experimental design which one-shot case study design. The compositions of the molding sand are varied is fly ash and bentonite. The Sample variations are divided into 4 types based on fly ash and bentonite concentration. The comparison of fly ash and bentonite concentration are: variation A are 0%:9%, variation B are 1%:8%, variation C are 2%:7%, and variation D are 3%:6%. The tests which is done in this study such as permeability test by using permeability tester, moisture test by using moisture tester, and gaholes defect test by using visual observation and calculation of gasholes defect.The results showed that: (1) The adding fly ash and bentonite can decreased the permeability values of molding sand. The lowest permeability values occur at variation D that is 85.34 cm3/min. (2) The adding fly ash and bentonite can decreased the moisture of molding sand. The lowest moisture values occur at variation D that is 5,26 %. (3) The adding fly ash and bentonite can improved the quality of castings. The results of castings at variation B which adding fly ash and bentonite has less gasholes defects compared with variation which no adding fly ash that is 3,15 cm
PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN E-PUBLICATION MODUL TEKNIK SEPEDA MOTOR MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN TEKNIK MESIN FKIP UNIVERSITAS SEBELAS MARET
Mobile learning has become a great tool for delivering educational resources in which learners can not only access the module anytime and anywhere, but also can actively interact with the learning material. This research aims to design and develop learning material of an automotive engineering course based on mobile device for mechanical engineering education students. The development e-publication module of motorcycle mechanic course employed the ADDIE instructional design model encompassing five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The student’s learning style was identified to characterize mobile module target. It was found that majority of the students as user have auditory and kinesthetic, then the module will be designed with the design in accordance with auditory and kinesthetic learning style, therefore the module will be mainly designed on audio-based format. The learning module developed using e-publication software consisting of structured documents combined with audio and video files. Some experts were asked to evaluate the implementation feasibility of the module. The average evaluation score was 85.4%, indicating high acceptance of implementing the learning module. It implies that e-publication module delivery has the potential to gain wider acceptance in engineering education complementing the in-class and practical learning
ANALISIS PERFORMA BOILER BASUKI BERDASARKAN RASIO ANTARA BAHAN BAKAR DAN STEAM DI PT. INDO ACIDATAMA Tbk.
The research aims to investigate the condition of Basuki boiler based on the ratio between fuel consumption and steam production. The research used quantitative-descriptive method. The population of this research was daily record of Basuki boiler. The sample was daily record of Basuki boiler performance for 1 year (February 2015 to January 2016). The sample was taken using purposive sampling method. The research analyzed the ability of fuel to produce a ton (1000 kilograms) of steam. The ability of fuel was depended on the highest heating value (HHV) and water contain in the coal. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that Basuki boiler condition based on its ratio between fuel consumption and steam production was good, because the ratio that shown (144.09) was less than the company’s target (150), it meant that the boiler only used 144.09 kilograms of coal to produce a ton of steam. The average of fuel consumption for 1 year was 1,484.99 kg/h and the average of steam production was 10,305.76 kg/h
ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM TEKNIK SEPEDA MOTOR-HONDA DI SMK PANCASILA SURAKARTA
This research aims to know: (1) relevance of learning school with Honda; (2) implementation of curriculum techniques motorcycles Honda in Vocational High School Pancasila Surakarta; (3) evaluation curriculum techniques motorcycles Honda in Vocational High School Pancasila Surakarta. This research is evaluative research. Data source derived from 98 students TSM-Honda, headmaster, Deputy Headschool of curriculum, curriculum development division Honda. Data techniques include by questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation. This research used logic validity or reasoning that instrument is valid based on rational analysis. Apparatus are arranged based on reasoning should be referred to experts so this instrument truly intelligent before distributed to respondents. The procedure consists research method, determine, devise research instruments, data retrieval, data analysis, the withdrawal of conclusion. The conclusion is: (1) curriculum implementation of Motorcycle-Honda Engineering is composed of four aspects context, planning, execution and evaluation, curriculum implementation of Honda overall reaches 72% with a high category; (2) context aspect reaches 78% with top grade. This means that the aspect context which includes the relevance of learning school with Honda and Honda-TSM program eligibility is already proper; (3) planning aspect reached 68% with a high category. Aspects planning that includes an input of students, the quality of the applicants, the parties involved, the training of teacher preparedness, Honda's been good; (4) implementation aspect of the reach 74% with a high category. Implementation aspects of administrative arrangement that includes teaching, learning materials, tools and materials, media of learning, learning methods are already good; (5) evaluation aspect reached 67% with a high category. An evaluation includes elements of competency teachers, students, students ' value competency, communication with Honda, the success of curriculum, curriculum development is already good
