    KINERJA GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN DI SMK NEGERI 1 NAGAN RAYA

    Abstract: Teacher is one of the important factors to improve the quality of learning. The purpose of this study to determine the performance of teachers of Islamic education in improving the quality of learning, including: (1) the ability; (2) discipline; and (3) the constraints that it faces. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data was collected through: interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects are: Head of School, Islamic Education Teachers and Supervisors in Vocational School District 1 Nagan Raya. The research found that: (1) The ability of Islamic Education teachers in planning lessons, including: preparing a syllabus and lesson plans, annual and semi-annual program, determine the effective time, and determine the criteria for determining the completeness Minimal as the benchmark grade. While the ability to carry out the study, include: open learning, mastering of teaching materials, classroom management, use of media, methods and learning resources, and close the learning. Furthermore, the ability to assess learning, namely: assessment plan, formulate instruments, conducting the assessment, check and report the results of the assessment; (2) Disciplinary Islamic Education teachers in learning, namely: present and teach on time, comply with all the rules and regulations of the school, foster a culture of shame when breaking the rules, and develop learning tools based on the syllabus; and (3) Barriers faced in improving teaching abilities are: difficulty in making up the learning plan, and usually just copy and paste from teachers and other schools, while in disciplining yourself often arriving late to school and it was difficult to manage the class well, so that an atmosphere of class so noisy. It is expected that the principal in order to reactivate the Consultative forum Subject Teachers and teachers engage in training activities, so the ability, discipline, and barriers to learning can be overcome.Keywords: Teacher Performance and Quality of LearningAbstrak: Guru merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kinerja guru PAI dalam meningkatan mutu pembelajaran, meliputi: (1) kemampuan; (2) kedisiplinan; dan (3) hambatan yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui: wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah: Kepala Sekolah, Guru PAI dan Pengawas di SMK Negeri 1 Nagan Raya. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan guru PAI dalam merencanakan pembelajaran, di antaranya: menyusun silabus dan RPP, program tahunan dan semesteran, menentukan waktu efektif, dan menentukan KKM sebagai patokan penentuan kenaikan kelas. Sedangkan kemampuan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, meliputi: membuka pembelajaran, menguasai bahan ajar, pengelolaan kelas, menggunakan media, metode dan sumber belajar, dan menutup pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, kemampuan dalam menilai pembelajaran yaitu: merencanakan penilaian, merumuskan instrumen, melaksanakan penilaian, memeriksa dan melaporkan hasil penilaian; (2) Kedisiplinan guru PAI dalam pembelajaran, yaitu: hadir dan mengajar tepat waktu, mematuhi segala peraturan dan tata tertib sekolah, menumbuhkan budaya malu bila melanggar peraturan, dan menyusun perangkat pembelajaran dengan berpedoman pada silabus; dan (3) Hambatan yang dihadapi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengajarnya yaitu: kesulitan dalam penyusun perencanaan pembelajaran, dan biasanya hanya copy paste dari guru dan sekolah lain, sedangkan dalam mendisiplinkan diri sering terlambat hadir ke sekolah dan sulit mengelola kelas dengan baik, sehingga menimbulkan suasana kelas jadi ribut. Diharapkan kepada kepala sekolah supaya dapat mengaktifkan kembali forum MGMP dan mengikutsertakan guru dalam kegiatan pelatihan, sehingga kemampuan, kedisiplinan, dan hambatan dalam pembelajaran dapat diatasinya.Kata Kunci: Kinerja Guru dan Mutu Pembelajara

    ABSTRACTorganizational culture and leadership of principal are two important factors that affecting teachers work performance. this study aimed to find out the influence between organizational culture and leadership on principal and work performance of teacher in state senior high boarding school unggul negeri 2 banda aceh. this research uses quantitative approach with descriptive method. the data analysis technique to test hypothesis was multiple correlation and multiple regression. the results indicaded that: (1) there is significant influence between organizational culture and teacher work performance that namely 13,54%. it meant that the success of organizational culture implementation could be viewed from increased responsibility, discipline and subservience to the rules and custom; (2) there was a significant influence between the leadership of headmaster and teachers work performance, namely 11.70%. this showed that the leadership of the principal influenced the work performance of teachers in general and it could be concluded that the skill possessed by the principal included conceptual skills, relationship skills with subordinates and skills as well as the conducive attitude and behavior of leadership which was very influential on teacher work performance; and (3) there is a significant influence between organizational culture and principals leadership on teacher work performance namelys 20.70%. the work performance of teachers will increase if there are the condition of relationships and healthy communication among the components of the school because with the pattern of relationships and communication which are well and good will encourage someone to do a good job.keywords: organizational culture, ladership, and work performance of teacher

    KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH SEBAGAI EDUKATOR DALAM MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS GURU PADA SMP NEGERI 1 BANDA ACEH

    The leadership of a principal as an educator should have a power to guide teachers and students, to develop education professionals, to follow the updates of technology, and to demonstrate teaching skill. This study aimed at finding out: principal leadership to develop teachers skill in designing lesson plan, teachers responsibility in teaching, and teachers commitment in supervising and evaluating the teaching and learning process. This study employed a descriptive method with qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The subjects of the study were the principal and teachers. The results: (1) Program to elevate learning quality, the implementation process of the program is presented in the preparation process of designing teaching instruments such as syllabus, annual program, semester program, and lesson plans. These instruments are main tool which should be prepared by teachers before they start teaching; (2) Principal leadership in terms of developing teachers responsibility in teaching was done in a persuasive way; and (3) Principal leadership in dealing with teachers commitment in the process of doing supervision and evaluation towards teaching and learning process is done with paternalistic leadership.     PENGELOLAAN MUSYAWARAH GURU MATA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU DI KOTA BANDA ACEH

    The management of MGMP (teacher discussion group) in improving teacher professionalism is aligned with the management principles by optimizing the available resources. This study is aim to find out the management of MGMP Biologys teachers in Banda Aceh to develop teacher competence. This study applied qualitative method by using interview, observation and documentation as data gathering technique. The participants were the MGMP committee, the members and the headmasters. The result showed that (1) strategy in planning the MGMP program was done by determining the aim of the program, forming the organization structure in form of commitee, determining and delegating job allocation, cordination through social media and involving relevant party internally, (2) MGMP program conducted once a month around two hours at senior high school in Banda Aceh, (3) controlling of program was done internally by head of MGMP, school supervisor, and headmaster through direct visit, (4) while Lack of staff ability, time constraints in managing the MGMP, and the absence of self-evaluation for staff performance and program evaluation were the drawbacks in the management of MGMP Biologys teachers.     Abstract[Z1] The implementation ofthe classroom action researchgreatly helps teachers in solvinglearning obstacles.The purposes of this study are to investigate: The purpose of this research is to get information about how to develop professional competence of teachers by the principal in the implementation of classroom action research at SMP Negeri 1 Mutiara.This study used thedescriptive qualitative method; data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation study; and research subjects were the school principal and the teachers.The data analysis was done by reducing the data and displaying the data.The results of this studyshowed that theprincipalhad implemented: 1) programs that had been planned, that is, thepreparation of an annual program and the semester program by involving all subject teachers;2) the training of the classroom action research for teachers and reprimand the teachers who did not participate actively ;and 3) a follow-up activity by requiring teachers to partake Teacher Professional Development Networks(MGMPs) regularly with the expectation that the obstacles encountered in training activities can overcome and guide the teacher wisely, that is, by reprimanding well, directing, and developing teachers who have problems with professional competence in conducting action research so that the ability to make reports of the classroom action research is successful.Keywords : Teacher Professioanl Development and Research Action Class[Z1]Abstrak terlalu panjang krn ketentuannya abstrak hanya terdiri dari 100-200 kata saja

    The objective of this research was to find out the employee planning, the development strategies, and the obstacles found by a number of division and sub-division heads in the employee development of Administrative Office of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. The data for this qualitative research were collected by doing interview, observation, and documentation. The analysis consists of three activities, namely data reduction, data display, and verification. The subjects of this research were the vice-rectors, the heads of divisions and sub-divisions, and the employees. The results of this research indicated that: (1) The employee planning was done by arranging several programs of development and empowerment and adjusting the educational background of an employee with his position; (2) The strategies of employee development consist of coaching dan giving the chances to the employees to be the participants of education and training programs organized by Syiah Kuala University or other related institutions and agencies; (3) The obstacles found by the heads of divisions and sub-divisions were the internal factors such as the internal aspects, namely the elderly, limited funding for the development of education and should use their own cost, and sometimes inconsistency in program implementationcaused by the priority scale. In addition, there are also problems of external whom the government rules that restrict employees to continue their education.Keywords: employee development, educational resource management

    Performance is the result of employees. Performance has to do with ability and motivation. This study aims to determine the performance of school administration through the implementation of fingerprint attendance at SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. To achieve this goal, this research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Research subjects are principal, head of administration and school administration staff. The results showed that: The performance of school administration staff at SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh is good and professional. The Effort to improving their professionalism are: (1) training and socialization; (2) learn independently. The effort of the principal to improve professional school administration staff that principal gives chance for them on training and socialization and also coaching, and supervising. The factors affect of performance and professionalism of school administration staff are: a) Motivation. b) Leadership. c) Infrastructure facilities. d) Working climate.     The performance of principals is a crucial factor in improving the competence of educator professional as well as teachers. This observation is intended to let us know the steps taken in devising plans and strategies and obstacles found by leaders in schools for teacher professional enhancement on Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Peureumeu Aceh Barat Regency. This observation uses exposure method with qualitative approach. Observation techniques, interviews, documentation and triangulation performed for data collection. Study subjects were school leaders, vice principals, MGMP leaders, and educators as well as teachers. The study results showed that: (1) The ability of school leaders to be taken in developing professional teacher improvement plans is to identify problems, analyze challenges and solve them, programming, formulating activities and formulating cost plans; (2) Strategies implemented by school leaders to improve the competence of teaching professionals as well as educators are using the stage of creating work programs, establishing and activating MGMP activities in schools, education and training, and giving permission to continue higher education; (3) Obstacles encountered in improving the professional competence of teachers is limited availability of facilities, time constraints, responsibilities sebahagian teachers who are still low and cost limitations.     PENGARUH KOMPETENSI DAN MOTIVASI KERJA GURU TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA PADA SMP NEGERI 14 KOTA BANDA ACEH

    Student achievement is highly dependent on the involvement of teachers in learning, good competence and high motivation. This study aims to determine whether there is influence between competence and motivation of teachers to student achievement SMP Negeri 14 Banda Aceh. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. As the population used in this study was the teacher in charge of SMP Negeri 14 Banda Aceh, while the sampled many as 36 people. Methods of data analysis used in this study were multiple linear regression. The results based on multiple linear regression equation obtained Y = 2.227 + 0,172X1 + 0,264X2. The results showed that in partial competence of teachers have a significant effect on student achievement SMP Negeri 14 Banda Aceh with values obtained regression coefficient of 0.172, partially work motivation of teachers also have a significant influence on student achievement SMP Negeri 14, Kota Banda Aceh with values obtained regression coefficient of 0264 and the results of simultaneous testing also showed that the variables of the competence and motivation of teachers have a significant influence on student achievement SMP Negeri 14 Banda Aceh with values obtained Ftest 15.815, while the Ftable at a significance level = 5% amounted to 3,284. This is shown, based on the calculation of F statistical test show that F count F table, with a probability level of 0.000, thus the hypothesis proposed is accepted.Keywords: competence, teacher work motivation and achievemen

    Abstrak: Supervisi pendidikan merupakan upaya pembinaan kepala sekolah kepada guru, dan guru bimbingan konseling di sekolah dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar mengajar di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui 1) Proses penyusunan program supervisi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru bimbingan konseling, 2) Pelaksanaan program supervisi pendidikan oleh kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru bimbingan konseling, dan 3) Tindak lanjut kepala sekolah dalam pelaksanaan supervisi pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru bimbingan konseling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru bimbingan konseling. Hasil penelitiannya menunjukan bahwa: 1) Program supervisi kepala SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh disusun di awal semester setiap tahun ajaran dengan mengikutsertakan wakil kepala sekolah, guru bimbingan konseling, serta guru bidang studi. Program supervisi mencakup kegiatan pembinaan dan bimbingan profesional guru serta pelatihan bagi guru yang disesuaikan dengan bidangnya. 2) Pelaksanaan supervisi kepala SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh mengikuti program yang telah disusun, teknik yang digunakan adalah melalui rapat guru, observasi kelas dan percakapan pribadi. Khusus untuk teknik observasi kelas sudah menggunakan panduan observasi, namun kuantitas pada pelaksanaannya belum maksimal. 3) Tindak lanjut pelaksanaan supervisi kepala SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh diobservasikan melalui pembicaraan individual, pemberian saran, pembinaan, serta membimbing guru bimbingan konseling dengan fokus untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan yang lebih baik, namun kepala sekolah tidak sepenuhnya memahami program bimbingan konseling.Kata Kunci: Supervisi Pendidikan, Kepala Sekolah dan Bimbingan KonselingAbstract: Education supervision constitutes efforts made by school principals on teachers, counsellors, and other educational staff at school in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning. The purpose of this study was to find out 1) the process of supervision planning development of the school principal to improve the professionalism of school counsellors, 2) the implementation of education supervision program by the school principal to improve the professionalism of school counsellors, 3) the follow up by the school principal in the implementation of education supervision to improve the professionalism of school counsellors. This is a descriptive study using qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of the research were the school principal, the vice principals, and the school counsellors. The results of the research show that 1) supervision program for teachers was developed at the beginning of the semester involving vice principals, school counsellors, and other subject teachers. 2) The implementation of the supervision followed the plan that had been developed. The supervision techniques include teachers meeting, classroom observation, and one-on-one conversation. There was observation guide during classroom observation, however, it was not fully used because sometimes during the supervision school counsellors were not in classrooms for health reason, or on other school related agenda. 3) The follow up of supervision was done by giving feedback to the observed school counsellors through one-on-one conversation with the focus of a better activity implementation.Keywords: Education Supervision, School Principal, and School Counselin
