Get PDFDomestic violence is one of the many female health problems occur in the Indonesia domestic violence according to the legislation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 2014 is every one's deeds are mainly women, which resulted in the incidence of misery or suffering physical, sexual, psychological, and or deprivation of liberty unlawfully within the household.. The number of cases of domestic violence recorded by the 2015 National Commission on Anti violence against women the National Commission of women mention that as much as 11,207 case in the realm of domestic violence, 60% or 6,725 case in the form of violence against the wife of 24% or 2,734 cases of violence in dating, and 8% or 930 cases of violence against girls. Physical abuse was ranked first with 38% percentage or 4,304 cases, followed by sexual violence 30% or 3,325 cases, violent psychic 23% or 2,607, and economy 9% or 971 cases. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the overview of the knowledge and attitude of high school students in Kakas 1 about domestic violence. Pengetahuan tenaga kesehatan tentang tuberkulosis paru dan diabetes melitus di Puskesmas Kota Manado
Get PDFTuberculosis is a disease caused by infection with mycobacterium tuberculosis. Across the world there were an estimated 9.6 million people have been exposed to tuberculosis in 2014. Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristic hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. World Health Organization (WHO) reported in 2011 there were 8% of the population worldwide suffer from diabetes mellitus and predicted increase of about 10% in 2030. This study aims to determine the health worker knowledge about pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus. This research is a qualitative descriptive design with cross sectional studies. The data collection was done by using in-depth interviews with a sample of 10 health workers using purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that in general the informants have been able to answer correctly about pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus, but there are several answers especially regarding review risk factors of pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus are still not answered correctly, it is recommended that health workers can increasing knowledge by following the training and be more active in seeking information, especially with regard to pulmonary tuberculosis disease and diabetes mellitus.Keywords: knowledge, health workers, pulmonary tuberculosis, diabetes mellitu
Hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat dengan tindakan pencegahan penyakit demam berdarah dengue di Kelurahan Tuminting
Get PDFDengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still one of the major public health problem in Indonesia. World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that about 50-100 million cases of DHF occur each year in endemic areas, with a death rate of approximately 20,000 deaths. The objective is to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitude of the community with preventive action of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Tuminting Village. This study was conducted with cross sectional analytic method. This study will be conducted in Tuminting Village from October 2015 through December 2015. The research sample take 95 heads of families using proportional simple random sampling. The results showed that most respondents (63%) have good knowledge about the prevention of DHF, the attitude of the majority of respondents (73%) regarding the prevention of DHF has been good, most respondents (66%)Â action on the prevention of DHF has been good. From the results of the bivariate analysis there is no relation between knowledge with the DHF prevention measures, and there is no relationship between attitude and preventive measures of DHF.Keywords: dengue hemorrhagic fever, knowledge, attitude, actio

Get PDFDemam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) masih menimbulkan masalah kesehatan di negara sedang berkembang, khususnya Indonesia. Di Indonesia pengaruh musim terhadap DBD tidak begitu jelas, tetapi dalam garis besar dapat dikemukakan bahwa jumlah penderita meningkat antara bulan September-November dengan mencapai puncaknya antara bulan Maret-Mei. Kecermatan dan ketelitian sangat diperlukan untuk membedakan DBD dengan penyakit lainnya dan derajat DBD itu sendiri. Bagaimana sikap dan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan demam berdarah di kelurahan Bahu Kecamatan Malalayang menjadi pertanyaan sendiri.Pada penelitian yang saya lakukan ini didapatkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik pada masyarakat di kelurahan Bahu kecamatan Malalayang, dengan meningkatnya angka kejadian serta tingginya morbiditas dan mortalitas akibat DBD membuat masyarakat lebih sadar dan peduli akan pencegahan dari penyakit DBD, ini semua dapat dilihat pada Tabel 6,7,8,9. Dimana hamper seluruh pertanyaan dalam kuesioner dapat dijawab dengan tepat oleh responden. Tetapi masih ada beberapa hal yang kurang diketahui masyarakat seperti pentingnya pengasapan (fogging) dan pemeliharaan ikan cupang. Pengasapan (fogging) memang tidak secara langsung mencegah penyakit demam berdarah tetapi fungsinya lebih untuk pemberantasan nyamuk dewasa sehingga jumlah vektor yang menjadi penyebab penularan DBD bias dibasmi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan sedangkan ikan cupang (Betta splendens) merupakan ikan yang memiliki kemampuan untuk membersihkan jentik nyamuk, hal ini sudah diteliti bahwa ikan ini dapat mengontrol perkembangbiakan nyamuk dan dapat membantu pencegahan penyebaran penyakit DBD

The purpose of this research is to find out the results of visum et repertum on rape victims period july 2015 – juny 2016 at bhayangkaramanado hospital. The result of this study from 110 case is 17 people was pregnant and 62 people was not pregnant, and 31 people which is not clear in this case did not do investigations. Get PDFLeprosy is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae. Based on data from the Ministry of Health new cases of leprosy in Indonesia in 2013 and 2014. there were 16.856 and 16.131 new cases respectively. North Sulawesi ranks sixth among the provinces with the numbers highest Case Detection Rate (CDR) per 100,000 population in Indonesia , which is 14.65 per 100,000 population. Registered patients in the city of Manado in 2013 and 2014 there were 67 and 69 people respectively. Leprosy disability level 2 in the city of Manado is quite high, reaching 10.6%. Disability due to leprosy can be prevented. Leprosy patient behavior plays an important role in the prevention of disability due to the disease itself. This study aimed to describe the behavior of leprosy patients in the prevention of disability due to leprosy. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with cross sectional study design. Data collected by in-depth interview techniques and triangulation with samples of 9 people with leprosy patients using purposive sampling. The results showed that the majority of informants knowledge about leprosy in general still lacking, but knowledge in the prevention of disability through regular treatment is sufficient. The attitude of the informants was good and optimistic with the treatment, showed a positive attitude. Most of the actions of the informants in the prevention of disability as a regular treatment has been good, although still need to be optimized. The behavior of the informants was good overall, but knowledge about leprosy in general needs to be improved further. Patients are advised to more actively seek information about the disease and prevention of disability, as well as the necessity for improved education and health promotion concerning leprosy by the health workers

Get PDFObesity is a global problem that taking place across the nations such as Spain (35% in children aged 6-9), Turkey (75% in elementary school children), and Canada (32% in children aged 5-17). The rate of obesity is increasing in Indonesia every year. According to Basic Health Research, overweight and obese children reached 18.8% in 2013. Obesity prevalence in North Sulawesi is 6.4% and 5.3% in Manado. This study aimed to find out parental views regarding physical activity and dietary intervention in obese students in primary schools. This research was conducted in three primary schools in the city of Manado. This study is descriptive study using mixed method. In the first part, quantitative research, we measured body weight and height to determine BMI and the student’s nutritional status. In the second part, qualitative research, we interviewed parents of the obese students. The prevalence of obesity in study schools is 20.9% in SD Garuda, 20.7% in SDN Winangun, and 18.7% in SD GMIM 20. Parents generally feel happy if their children are obese, even though they realize the consequences of obesity and acknowledge that a fat child is not as active and agile as children who are not obese. Parents agree at the idea of obesity interventions and states that obese children need a special program in order to reduce and maintain their weight; despite the fact that some parents put off the intervention program for their obese children
Penyakit Menular Seksual dengan Sikap Sehat pada Wanita Tuna Susila di Kota Bitung
Get PDFSexually transmitted disease is an infection caused by bacteria, virus, parasite or fungi, that transmitted by sexual intercourse. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are 6231 Chlamydia trachomatis and Syphilis infected women from 100.000 women in United States. Prevalence of sexually transmited disease in Indonesia was 5608 cases in 2014. The Public Health Department of the City of Bitung reported 959 infected women and 498 infected men, which means more infected women than men. The number of cases increased in 2010-2013 where 1198 were infected and increased to 1429 cases in 2014. The objective of the study was to find out the correlation of sexual transmitted disease knowledge level with healthy intercourse attitude in female prostitute in Bitung city. This study was an analytic descriptive study with cross-sectional method. Population in the study was all female prostitutes in Bitung city. Samples in the study were 75 people as respondents. Data was obtained with a questionnaire and analyzed with chi-square. The result shows that there is a correlation of sexual transmitted disease knowledge level with healthy intercourse behavior, p=0.004 (p<0.01)
