Get PDFObjective: To reveal the overview of knowledge and outlook of teachers from Rex Mundi Catholic Senior High School in Manado about the outcomes of sexual violence against woman.Design: This is a qualitative descriptive research using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to explore the participants knowledge and outlook, and in depth to obtain deep and independent informations about the focused research issue. Location of study was at Rex Mundi Catholic Senior High School in Manado. There were 11 constant teachers of Rex Mundi Catholic Senior High School with the average age of 26 to 58 years old and variety period of teaching experience. All of them were participated in the FGD and seven was picked for the in depth interview.Results: Informants devided the violence against woman in two types: physical and non physical. Knowledge about the variety form of sexual violence was mininal. They claimed that sexual violence is when rape occurs only. Victims are at risk of physical, mental and social impairment. School will perform specific approaches towards students who are victims and perpetrators of sexual violence. Conclusion: The research shows that the informants already had sufficient knowledge about violence against woman in general, but still have lack of knowledge about the sexual violence in particular. However, informants reveal critical outlook about teachers role in screening for sexual violence victims among students. On the other hand, the school s role in overcoming the outcomes of sexual abuse against students is limited by the school s regulations

Get PDFObjective: To describe the the knowledge and attitudes of the employees of Manado Polytechnic State employees regarding domestic violence. Methods: The data collection was used with focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with a sample of 11 employees using purposive sampling. Results: The majority of informants knowledge about domestic violence in terms of understanding, factors, and the impact was appropriate but the theory of knowledge in the form of domestic violence is still lacking. The attitude of the informant has had the awareness to do outreach to the community as a form of dedication of employees in the prevention of domestic violence. Summary: Knowledge and attitude that was expected to provide an understanding of domestic violence to the people surrounding and including the socialization of the Act of the Republic of Indonesia on the Elimination of Domestic Violence in order to have a valid understanding about domestic violence. Tindakan Pencegahan Masyarakat terhadap Kejadian Malaria di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tikala Kota Manado
Get PDFBackground: According to the World Malaria Report (2015) by the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of malaria cases in the world declined from 262 million in 2000 (range : 205-316 million) , to 214 million in 2015 (range : 149-303 million) a decrease of 18% . Most cases in 2015 is estimated to occur in the WHO African Region (88%), followed by the South-East Asia Region (10%) and the Eastern Mediterranean Region (2%). The incidence of malaria , which also takes into account population growth, estimated to have declined 37% in the period 2000-2015. Altogether 57 of the 106 countries that previously had a transmission running in 2000 has been able to reduce malaria incidence >75%. More far 18 countries have been estimated to reduce the incidence of malaria by 50-75%. Manado city recorded a number of suspected malaria in 2014 amounted to 1,361 and from 780 people blood sample examined 107 people were found positive as the result. According to available data, the Tikala District always be at the top of the donation morbidity of malaria. This research aim to find whether there is a relationship between community preventive measures with malaria incidence. Methods: The research design used in this study is ananalytic, using cross-sectional study. The data analysis was done manually and by computer for chi-square test. Result and Conclusion: The results of data processing usingchi-square test showed that there was no significant correlation between the incidence of malaria and society precautions p= 0,37(p>0.05). This result suggested that education about malaria and its preventive measures by health center could be improved, as well as the thorough treatment against Plasmodium parasite that infected patients
Gambaran Mikrobiologi Air Minum dari Depot Isi Ulang di Kecamatan Ranoyapo
Get PDFAir sangat penting bagi berlangsungnya proses fisiologis manusia dan metabolisme sel. Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan juga gaya hidup manusia yang semakin dinamis dan serba instan, sebagian besar masyarakat lebih memilih air minum yang siap dikonsumsi. Hingga kini masyarakat lebih memilih mengonsumsi Air Minum Isi Ulang (AMIU) yg lebih murah. Beberapa tahun terakhir kualitas AMIU Indonesia dicap menghasilkan air minum yang kurang berkualitas. Hal ini dikarenakan ditemaukannya banyak Depot Air Minum Isi Ulang (DAMIU) yang tidak memenuhi syarat khususnya ditinjau dari parameter bakteriologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kualitas air di Depot Air Minum Isi Ulang di kecamatan Ranoyapo berdasarkan parameter mikrobiologi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif laboratorium yang dilakukan pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2015 di lima DAMIU yang berada di kecamatan Ranoyapo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dua (40%) dari lima depot AMIU yang diperiksa tercemar bakteri Coliform. Depot A ditemukan 15 MPN/100 ml Coliform dan depot E ditemukan 21 MPN/100 ml Coliform. Dari lima sampel yang diteliti tidak didapatkan satupun sampel positif bakteri E.coli. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dua (40%) dari lima depot air minum isi ulang di kecamatan Ranoyapo tidak memenuhi syarat sedangkan 3(60%) lainnya memenuhi syarat ditinjau dari parameter mikrobiologis.Kata kunci : Air, Depot Air Minum Isi Ulang(DAMIU), Kualitas Bakteriologi
Sikap Guru Mengenai Intervensi Diet dan Aktivitas Fisik Pada Siswa Obesitas di Sekolah Dasar
Get PDFDi dunia, secara global angka kejadian obesitas pada anak meningkat dari 4,2 % pada tahun 1990 menjadi 6,7 % pada tahun 2010. Diperkirakan akan mencapai 9,1 % di tahun 2020. Di Indonesia, secara nasional angka kejadian overweight dan obesitas anak berturut-turut sebesar 10,8 % dan 8,8%, sudah mendekati perkiraan angka dunia di tahun 2020, sehingga diperlukan intervensi segera pada anak yang mengalami overweight dan obesitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap guru mengenai intervensi diet dan aktivitas fisik pada siswa obesitas di sekolah dasar.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan informan masih kurang karena informan belum mengerti sepenuhnya tentang pengertian obesitas, ciri-ciri anak yang mengalami obesitas serta dampak obesitas terhadap kesehatan anak.Sebagian informan belum peduli dan menganggap obesitas pada anak biasa saja atau tidak berbahaya.Tindakan informan dalam melakukan intervensi diet dan aktivitas fisik sudah baik tetapi perlu lebih dioptimalkan lagi. Guru diharapkan mampu mengatur, mengawasi intervensi diet dan aktivitas fisik pada siswa sekolah dasar dan menambah wawasan dengan mengikuti promosi kesehatan tentang obesitas pada anak.Kata Kunci:Sikap Guru, Intervensi Diet, Intervensi Aktivitas Fisik, Obesitas Anak
Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat dengan Tindakan Pencegahan Hipertensi di Desa Motoboi Kecil Kecamatan Kotamobagu Selatan
Get PDFHipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi merupakan penyebab kematian dan kesakitan yang tinggi. Riwayat penyakit hipertensi yang bersamaan dengan pola hidup tidak sehat seperti mengkonsumsi tinggi lemak, merokok, konsumsi garam berlebih, kurang olahraga, alkohol dan stres akan memperberat resiko komplikasi seperti, stroke, gagal ginjal, infark miokardium bahkan sampai kematian. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat dengan tindakan pencegahan hipertensi di desa Motoboi Kecil Kecamatan Kotamobagu Selatan. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat yang bertempat tinggal di desa Motoboi Kecil Kecamatan Kotamobagu Selatan sebesar 104 responden. Analisis data dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hubungan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat dengan tindakan pencegahan hipertensi menunjukan dengan uji chi square tersebut tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan tindakan pencegahan hipertensi dengan hasil P Value 1,000 (>0,05). Dalam penelitian ini tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan tindakan pencegahan hipertensi. Perlu di adakan penyuluhan kesehatan sehingga dapat membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hipertensi serta tindakan pencegahan yang baik dan benar.Kata kunci: Hipertensi, Tingkat Pengetahuan, Tindakan Pencegaha

The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the attitudes and prevention picture Christian elementary school teacher Tabitha 2 Manado. Methods This study included descriptive study using qualitative techniques. Population taken 10 teachers, eight teachers to follow in-depth interviews, six focus group discussions following the teacher aged 35 to 57 years. The results obtained by the attitude of some teachers have counseled child victims of violence and perpetrators of violence. Prevention agreed by all the teachers, the religious approach. The conclusion is based on in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) attitude and the prevention of an elementary school teacher Christian Tabita 2 Manado ie they will ask first the problem and then follow up the issue with the report to the authorities as to prevent them going to do a religious approach and more often membingbing children -child. Hubungan Pengetahuan tentang Hipertensi dengan Komplikasi pada Lansia yang Berobat di Puskesmas Motoboi Kecil Kecamatan Kotamobagu Selatan
Get PDFHipertensi merupakan salah satu faktor risiko utama untuk kematian global.Hipertensi menempati peringkat pertama di Sulawesi Utara dengan jumlah kasus sebanyak 15%. Dalam beberapa kelompok usia, terutama usia tua risiko penyakit kardiovaskular dua kali lipat untuk setiap kenaikan 20/10 mmHg tekanan darah, mulai dari 115/75 mmHg. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan tentang hipertensi dengan komplikasi pada lansia yang berobat di Puskesmas Motoboi Kecil.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik cross-sectional. Yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien hipertensi lansia yang berobat di Puskesmas Motoboi Kecil.Sampel penelitian berjumlah 52 responden.Data diambil dengan menggunakan kuisioner dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji chi square.Sebanyak 57.7% responden pasien lansia yang menderita hipertensi di Puskesmas Motoboi Kecil memiliki pengetahuan yang baik sedangkan yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang kurang baik sebesar 42.3%.Responden yang menderita komplikasi sebanyak 16 orang (50%) dan yang tidak menderita komplikasi jumlahnya juga 16 orang (50%). Hasil pengolahan data menggunakan uji chi Square didapatkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara kategori diagnosis komplikasi dengan tingkat pengetahuan, nilai p = 0,92 artinya p > 0,5.Kata Kunci:Hipertensi, Lansia, Komplikasi

Perilaku guru SMA Frater Don Bosco Manado dalam pencegahan kekerasan terhadap perempuan
Get PDFObjective: To describe the behavior of teachers to prevent violence against women.
Methods: Qualitative descriptive with grounded theory approach, conducted by focus group discussion and in-depth interview. The research was conducted in Don Bosco Senior Highschool Manado with 10 informants both male and female undergo focus group discussion. Later on, 4 informant were selected based on their answers for in-depth interview. The result were turned in matrices and drawn the conclusions based on Miles and Hubberman qualitative data analysis.
Results: The teachers tendency on prevent violence against women was conduted in the classroom while teaching. Shaping the mindset towards gender equality in form of advices and counseling by taking few minutes from the subjects.
Conclusion: Three years on highschool isn t enough for both teachers and students to establish the gender equality mindsets. It may take more research about the correlation between earlier age intervention and the success rate to establish the mindset of gender equality
