Get PDFapplication/pdfOne of the authors, Ito (1976), reported on the application of the plasma spray coating method for the dental restorations, and discussed about bonding strength of porcelain fused to non-precious metal. The technique consists of coating the surface of Ni-Cr-Co system alloy restorations with Al_2O_3 or ZrO_2 powders by plasma spraying. He suggested that the bonding strength of porcelain fused to non-precious metal by this method was larger than that of porcelain fused to precious metal by conventional crown and bridge laboratory procedures. We have applied this technique to the crown and bridge and these were observed about for 16 months. From the results of this observation, the following conclusions were obtained. 1) The margin of castings were fitted well for the prepared teeth in all of 13 cases. 2) In almost all cases, we were not observed the periodontal deseases. 3) Positive problems were not found any variation of coating method. 4 ) There were not observed attrition, wearing, cracking, and destruction during 16 months after cementation.journal articl

Mental elements form a cause of neuralgia as well as physical elements, and accupuncture-therapy can be expected to be effective in these both elements. Therefore when accupuncture-therapy is added as one of supplementary treatment and we use it after sufficient western medical examination, it will contrbute much more effective to the treatment.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfIn this paper a case of epulis gravidarum appeared in a 26-year-old woman, 10 months pregnant, has been presented The tumor, hen's egg-sized, having a tendency to bleed easily, attached with a pedicle to the buccal gingiva of the left molar region of the mandible. The epulis was excised with adjacent decayed teeth at 1 month after parturition. Postoperative course was uneventful and have showed no recurrence 6 months after the operation. It was diagnosed histopathologically as epulis fibrosa teleangiectaticum.journal articl
Ameloblastic Odontomaとその類似疾患について
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn the present article, 31 cases of so-called ameloblastic odontoma reported in Japan, including our 2 cases (Figs. 1 to 5), were reviewed on the clinical point of view (Table 1). An analysis of these cases revealed that the ages were young, ranging 2.5 to 76 years, with an average age 16.8, nineteen patients were male and 12 were female, and that the lesions occurred in the upper jaw in 9 cases and in the lower jaw in 22 cases, and frequently accompanied by an impacted tooth. Moreover, the nomenclature of these tumors, such as ameloblastic odontoma, ameloblastic fibro-odontoma, odonto-ameloblastoma and odonto-ameloblastic fibroma, was discussed. These 4 names were considered to be used separately for the different 4 tumors.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfThe composition of lipids in a bovine molar pulp was examined by comparison with serum lipids. Total lipids were found to be 3.6 percent of the lyophilized molar pulp and 4.0 percent of the lyophilized serum. The lipids in the pulp were composed of 51.3% compound lipids, 21.6% glycerides, 10.5% cholesterol, and 16.5% cholesterol esters. The composition of phospholipids which may constitute membranes in the bovine pulp was 48.7% phosphatidylcholine (including lysophosphatidylcholine), 22.1% sphingomyelin, 12.5% phosphatidylethanolamine, 11.9% phosphatidylserine and 4.8% cardiolipin.journal articl
