    歯の萌出期における歯周靱帯線維の観察

    application/pdfRecently, it is considered that the development of the periodontal ligament relates to the tooth eruption. But these relations are not yet properly understood. In this paper the periodontal ligament of the young dog was observed under the scanning electron microscope and light microscope. Specimens for SEM were fixed with 10% formaldehyde solution and sliced according to the toothaxis. After dehydration, they were dried by the critical point drying apparatus and coated with gold by using ion spattering apparatus. Periodontal ligament apparatus started to form before emergence of tooth into the oral cavity. Before eruption, the tooth germs were enclosed in a bony crypt. The developing periodontal ligament appeared to consist of loose fibers connective tissue. Fibers which subsequently became dentogingival fibers were demonstrable as an organized entity as they coursed coronally, following the outline of the crown. Apically, fibers arising from beneath the tooth, coursed into the periodontal ligament. They were oriented parallel to the long axis of the tooth. Principal fibers seemed to emanate from cementum and the bone surface. These fibers extended from the root and bone surfaces to the intermediate zone. An intermediate plexus was apparent during the tooth eruption but could not observe in the functional stage. It was considered that the fiber bundle provided the force for eruption by pulling the tooth out from the bony crypt or alveolar socket.journal articl

    application/pdfUsing approximately 30 patients the thristimulus valuesX, Y, Z (based on C.I.E.) of upper-front, teeth, lower front teeth, oral mucosa, skin and lips were measured by means of the reformed Micro Color Computers (M.C.C). 1. Trial productions of the light-receiver of the optical detector varying φ0.5m/m, φ1m/m and φ2m/m in diameter were made. In the experiment of φ0.5m/m only Y value was able to measure but by enlarging the diameter to φ1.0m/m X Y X x y values became to be able to measure. By enlarging the diameter to φ2.0m/m more accurate values were obtained. 2. Comparing the values of the two light receivers φ1m/m and φ2m/m, the values of φ1m/m were generally lower. 3. Comparing the teeth color sample Trubyte Dioform (Basic Range) and the values of upper and lower front teeth by means of x y color-co-ordinates, the majority concentrated on Basic Range 59, 62, 66 and a discrepancy sprang up between the color sample and the teeth. 4. In both φ1m/m size and φ2m/m size, the Luminous reflectance (Y Value) became largest on the skin, then oral mucosa then lips. 5. Comparing them by x y color-co-ordinates although the color tones differed, the results were the same as Y value; chroma on the skin, then oral mucosa, then lips.journal articl

    application/pdfAn embedded left mandibular canine (Figs. 1-6) of a 47-year-old woman was studied by means of histopathology. Findings were as follows. Both enamel and dentin were widely resorbed (Figs. 7, 8, 11-14), and multinucleated giant cells were observed in Howship's lacunae of dentin and added bone (Figs. 11, 12) and at the periphery of enamel cuticle (Figs. 9, 10). Newly formed bone was added to these resorbed areas of dentin and enamel (Figs. 7-9, 13, 14), and also to sound enamel surface (Figs. 7-9, 14) to become ankylosed to alveolar bone.journal articl

    application/pdfFor the purpose of elucidation of the mechanism of convulsion induced as the acute intoxication of sodium fluoride (NaF), the actions of NaF on the frog sciatic nerve-sar-torius muscle preparation were investigated electrophysiologically. The results obtained were summarised as follows: 1) Both twitch and tetanus tension were augmented by NaF dose-dependently. 2) NaF had little effect on the compound action potential of nerves, resting membrane potential, action potential and membrane resistance of muscle fibre. 3) NaF augmented the amplitude, rate of rise and half decay time of endplate potential dose-dependently. 4) NaF augmented both the frequency and the amplitude of miniature endplate potential (MEPP). 5) The amount of neostigmine which inhibits more than 80% of cholinesterases had no effect on the action of NaF on MEPP amplitude. These results suggest that NaF facilitates acetylcholine release from the presynaptic membrane, sensitizes the cholinergic receptor of the postsynaptic membrane and inhibits the cholinesterase in the neuromuscular junction, and that these actions of NaF are involved in augmentation of muscle contraction and the convulsion.journal articl

    螢光法による体液中セファレキシンの定量法の検討

    application/pdfA fluorometric method has been developed for the determination of cephalexin in plasma and urine. A fluorescent product was formed when samples containing cephalexin were heated for an hour at 100℃ and pH 1.0. The fluorescence was determined in sodium hydroxide solution (pH 13.0) at excitation and emission wavelengths of 355 and 432 nm, respectively. Only 0.1ml of plasma or urine was required, and concentrations of cephalexin as small as 0.1mcg/ml might be determined. In plasma samples from male rabbits taken over a 6-hr-period after an oral administration of 100mg/kg of cephalexin, and urinary samples from human male volunteers taken over a 6-hr-period after an oral administration of 500mg of cephalexin, were investigated using this new method.journal articl

    application/pdfThe teeth, taken from the ovarian cyst which appeared in left ovary of a 46-year-old woman, were studied histopathologically and scanning electron-microscopically. 1. The histological structure of the teeth resembled closely to that of a normal tooth, but a great deal of the hypocalcified portions in the enamel and dentin were found. 2. The surface of the hypocalcified enamel was slightly opaque with the naked eye, and mottled fossae were observed in the same area by scanning electron-microscope. The interglobular dentin was observed in the hypocalcified dentin. 3. In some dentinal tubles, peritubular matrices and closures of dentinal tubles were confirmed microradiographically and electron-microscopically.journal articl

    導帯索(Gubernacula Cord)の組織学的観察

    application/pdfIt has been discussed by several authors that the relationship between the gubernacular cord and the eruption of permanent teeth at the period of changing dentition. However, the roles of the gubernacular cord at this period were not yet clear. In the present study, mandibular bones of 25 young dogs were used to make clear these subjects by radiograghy, chiefly by light microscopy and electron microscopy. The gubernacular cord consisted mainly of connective tissues, which stretched from dental follicles of the permanent teeth to lamina propria of gingiva. The bundles of fibrous connective tissues, occured from the dental follicles, were observed to reach to the central region of gubernacular cord. In the outer region of the gubernacular cord, facing to the surface of the bony crypt walls, there were loose connctive tissues abounded with blood vesseles. Furthermore, mumerous osteoclasts were detected on the surface of the bony crypt walls. The results of these morphological observations may suggest that the gubernacular cord have an influence on erupting teeth, and its influence varies according to the regions of the gubernacular cord. The central region of the gubernacular cord may have a function in migrating and erupting of the permanent teeth. And the outer region of the gubernacular cord may have a function in enlarging eruption pathway of the successional teeth by resorptions of bones and roots of deciduous teeth.journal articl
