悪性腫瘍摘出後に生じた右側顔面醜形・上顎欠損を治療した1例
application/pdfA facial deformity, including loss of the right cheek and maxilla and ectopium cicatriceum in the surgically extirpated maxillary carcinoma of a 54 years old male, was reconstruted using the deltopectoral flap, Kuhnt-Szymanoski's method and maxillofacial prosthesis. Satisfactory results were obtained for facial deformity. Oral functions such as articulation and mastication were also markedly improved. It was stressed that treatment of the massive malignant tumor in the oral region should include that of the deformity and dysfunction after the extirpation of the tumor.journal articl
酸化アルミナ及びハイドロキシアパタイト溶射骨膜下インプラントの組織学的観察
application/pdfThe tissue reactions of adult dog to the uncoated, aluminium oxide-coated and hydroxy apatite-coated cobalt-chrome subperiosteal implants were evaluted by radiographically and histologically. The tissues surrounding the implants were healthy, and no difference of tissue reaction to the implant materials was recognized. The frame works of these implants were encapuslated by collagenous, fiberous connective tissues. However, the tissues in contact with the coated implant seemed more strongly adhered to the implant than those of uncoated implant. A rapid formation of new bone was also observed in the surrounding tissues of the coated implants. Especially, it was revealed that osseous tissue overgrew on the surface of the hydroxy apatite-coated implant, and was covered on all side of the implant with new bone. These results may suggest that the coated implant with a aluminium oxide or hydroxy apatite will produce a more effective union between the implant and the new bone, and the stability of the implant.journal articl
合着用セメントの被膜厚さに関する研究 第1報
application/pdfIn this report, it is described that the film thickness of cementing materials, correlating with particle size of the powder and the effect of the cemented area and with the surface roughness of the plate cemented. Results obtained were as follows; 1. The film thickness was correlated with the particle size of the powder and its correlative coefficient was 0.39. 2. The film thickness was unaffected by the area of glass plate for the measurement. 3. The film thickness was decreased, when it was measured by roughened glasses. 4. Observating the section of cemented specimens prepared by roughened glasses, the film thickness was partially heavier than the measured value in this test.journal articl
Konuskronen-Teleskopeを応用した可撤性架工義歯の経過観察
application/pdfIn clinical observations of removable bridge with conical telescopic crowns during 3 years, following findings were obtained. The retention of conical telescopic crowns and the health of periodontal tissue in abutment was well maintained.journal articl

application/pdfThe human eyes are able to distinguish the shape and color of objects only when light hits the object and the reflection of that light directly hits the retinae. If prosthesis will be made only by sensory vision based on experience, the treatment would differ among various dentists. If the dentist's senses happened to be in abnormal conditions, or if the dentist had a particular color sense by nature, the result will be unsuccessful. Accordingly, instruments were developed in order to indicate the color tone by scientifically. For the experiment, an instrument by Suga Testing Instrument Development (deviser: Hashiguchi) and the other instrument produced by Nakagawa Production were used. The results were as follows: The model of Suga Testing Instrument (CDE-CH 4) displayed a great validity when measuring the color tone of the surface of material that was flat and homogeneous. But when the surface was curved and the quality of the material was complex, the instrument could not display a valid value. On the other hand, the model of Nakagawa Production (NS-100) displayed a valid value when applied for materials with a curved surface and complex quality, but did not show any valid values when applied on material that was flat. The reason was considered that with CDE-CH 4, the light that emerged from the glass-fiber returns to the micro-computer through the same route, as a reflection. Therefore the light did not permeate or refract or absorb or scatter into the inner material. In the case of NS-100, however, the light entered the interior, made a detour and was inserted into the micro-computer circuit through a different route. This is in order to avoid diffusing the light of the surface caused by reflection as much as possible.journal articl
歯頸部エナメル質表面の走査電子顕微鏡による観察
application/pdfThe cervical enamel surface of embedded human wisdom teeth was observed by scanning electron microscopy. 1. The enamel surface showed that the imbricational structure and the perikymata were recognized to be differences in the level of enamel surfaces. These findings were confirmed to be act by means of stereo-electron microscopic photography. 2. On the freeze fractured surface, the layer of rodless enamel was observed at the enamel surface. 3. While reviewing the literatures, it was found that there were some confusions of the concept of "perikymata", either it showed grooves or ridges. It was considered that perikymata showed the grooves on the enamel surface.journal articl
