模型歯における充塡処置の標準化について(1)マイクロコンピューターによる窩洞外形の長さ及び面積の測定法とスケッチ窩洞での評価
application/pdfDuring the dental examination, many filled teeth were always found in the patients. Their forms were completely different. There are many causes for this difference, but the main cause was considered to be dependent upon the dentist's planning for the area of extension for the prevention against dental caries. With the expectation that this decision depends primarily on experience and knowledge in operative dentistry, reseach was carried out. As one method, 205 dental school students were requested to sketch one cavity respectively and these sketches were examined by the authors. Because there is no objective criteria for good cavities, this time the authors tried to judge them by comparing the length of the circumference and area of the cavities on 205 pictures. As a result, the cavities were quite different in their length and area. In order to agree, 11 points were settled on the teeth before the cavities were drawn. Thus, the authors could get a good agreement of the length of the circumference and area of the cavities drawn.journal articl
松本歯科大学病院におけるB型肝炎ウイルス感染に関する調査
application/pdfAn investigation was conducted on a total of 446 subjects, dental staff and students (predoctoral students, and students of Dental Hygienist and Technician School) at Matsumoto Dental College Hospital during June 1982 and November 1982, respectively. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the number and percentage of carriers of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and antibody (HBsAb). The following are the results of this study. 1) The percentage of HBsAg carriers was found to be 0.4% (2/446), while that of HBsAb was 0.9% (40/446). Of this total, the percentage of HBsAg and HBsAb carriers among dentists was 1.8% (2/113) and 10.6% (12/113), respectively. 2) The percentages of HBsAg carriers among dentists according to different departments were found to be: Department of Prosthodontics 3.8% (1/26) Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 3.8% (1/26) Other departments 0% (0/61) The percentages of HBsAb carriers were 7.7-21.4% in the departments not including Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Handicapped Patient Clinic. 3) The percentage of HBsAg carriers among other dental staff and students was zero. No single carrier was found in this study. The percentage of HBsAb carriers was 8.4% (28/333). 4) When we considered the percentage of HBsAb carriers among dentists and nurses in terms of years of experience, we found that those who had ll years of experience or more showed higher percentages, which resulted in 16.7% (2/12) and 50.0% (6/12), respectively. 5) In past investigations, HBsAg carriers were found among dentists, predoctoral students and cafeteria staff, however, not among other dental staff. 6) During the period from 1980 to 1982, the numbers of subjects whose HBsAg reaction had changed to positive were: one among dentists and two among the predoctoral students.journal articl
Epulis Fibro-osteomatosa の1症例,付 EPMA による分析結果
application/pdfAn epulis with a formation of bone tissue occurred in the labial gingiva of maxillary left incisor region of a 28-year-old man. It consisted of hard fibroma, immature bone trabeculae and calcified bone tissue. An analysis by EPMA on the epulis tissue revealed that fibrous tissues was rich in S component while calcified bone tissue was rather poor in S.journal articl
カエル顎反射および舌反射の筋電図学的研究
application/pdfElectromyographic activities of jaw and tongue muscles produced reflexly by mechanical and chemical stimulation of various loci of orofacial region were studied in the frog, Rana nigromaculata. Temporal muscle activity occurred when mechanical stimuli were applied to the palatal ridge, lower lip, root of tongue and pharynx. Electromyograms of the masseter muscle were similar to that of the temporal muscle, but the masseter muscle activity was occurred ipsilaterally and was not occurred by the stimulation of the pharynx region. No activity of the mandible depresser muscle was obtained whatever portions of the mouth were stimulated, but a strong pinch of tongue tip generated a transient activity. A remarkable activity of the submaxillary muscle was observed when the pharynx region was stimulated mechanically. This muscle activity occurred synchronously with the respiration, and was suppressed by the mechanical stimulation of the oral mucosa except the tongue surface. The hyoglossal and intrinsic tongue muscles were activated by the mechanical and chemical stimulation of the tongue. The latter muscle was also activated by the mechanical stimulation of the pharynx region. These results are similar to those obtained in the higher vertebrates, suggesting that the neural mechanism of oral reflexes in the frog is fundamentally the same as those in the higher vertebrates.journal articl
長期放置された妊娠性エプーリスの1例附,文献上の症例に対する組織学的検討
application/pdfThe etiology of epulis gravidarum have been reported as follows: 1) metabolic changes caused by pregnancy, 2) untreated local lesions and unsanitary oral conditions and 3) external irritations. An epulis gravidarum occurred to gingiva that beneath the dummies of fixed bridge of anterior portion of maxilla in a 31-year-old woman. The patient refused our recommendation of surgical therapy for one and a half year, so the tumor grown gradually large with no pain and became a pigeon egg in size when surgical operation was perfomed. By a review, 12 out of 20 reported cases of epulis gravidarum were categolized in teleangiectaticum or hemangiomatosa types histologiacally. The present case, however, was diagnosed as a fibrosa type.journal articl
Caries Activityに関する研究(1) : 地域におけるSnyder Test及びCariostatの統計的観察
application/pdfPrior to regular oral health examinations, the Caries Activity Test was applied to 350 pupils of the Asahi Elementary School. The results obtained from the test were subsequently compared with the findings of the oral health examinations which were carried out soon afterwards. In the experiment using the Cariostat and Snyder test for caries activity, a significant correlation was observed between the two tests statistically. This means that significant correlations were not found between the test results and the incident rate of dental caries.journal articl
