4ユニット以上にわたるブリッジの経過観察について
application/pdfA study was made of 33 bridges created for 25 new patients who had a 4-unit bridge or over sets at the Prosthetic Clinic of Matsumoto Dental College in 1974, 1977, 1980 and 1983. 1) The number of bridges with which patients were satisfied was 25, and the number of those who were dissatisfied for various reasons was eight. 2) Judging from the cases, 9 bridges worked well and the rest did not. 3) After 5 out of 24 bridges had been removed, they were repaired or replaced by new bridges or partial dentures.journal articl
Assessment of Gingival Inflammation by Measuring the Capacitance of the Gingival Fluid Using the Periometer
application/pdfThis study was undertaken to determine a practical method for detection of gingival inflammation by measuring the capacitance of the gingival fluid. The capacitance of gingival fluid was measured in 25 patients with periodontal disease and 13 normal healthy students. The examinations were performed by the author. The correlation between various clinical findings and the capacitance of the gingival fluid was as follows. 1. Statistically significant correlations were observed between the capacitance of the gingival fluid and the plaque index, gingival index, gingival bleeding index, and pocket depths (p<0.001). 2. The capacitance of the gingival fluid of the periodontal disease group was markedly higher than for the normal group, and increased with the progression of the disease (p<0.01). 3. This new device features automatic digital display of the capacitance of the gingival fluid by simply inserting the tip of the probe into the periodontal pocket. Further, it is capable of accurately measuring the fluid, and has been shown to be fast, easy, precise and convenient.journal articl
リン酸塩系埋没材について(その5)硬化時の反応熱と膨張について
application/pdfPhosphate bonded investments produce heat of reaction upon setting. Setting expansion correlates with the heat of reaction. The heat of reaction and setting expansion vary considerably according to the thickness of the rings. The heat of reaction and setting expansion decrease as the thickness of the rings increases. In this work, we examined the relation between the heat of reaction and setting expansion of investment materials. Results were as follows: 1) With a ring of stainless steel which absorbs the heat of reaction from the investmest material, setting expansion is small. 2) The heat of reaction increases as the quantity of CERAVEST increases. However, setting expansion does not increase. 3) The heat of reaction and setting expansion increases as the quantity of CERAMIGOLD increases. 4) Setting expansion influences the time required for the setting. In a long period of time, setting expansion is small. 5) The above results indicate that there is a correlation between the heat of reaction and setting expansion.journal articl
高齢者口腔外科手術後に生じた房室解離の1例
application/pdfWe reported on the condition of an elderly patient with cardio and cerebrovascular disease-hypertension, post cerebral infarction, diabetes mellitus-who treated with a combination of nicardipine, diltiazem and dipyridamol and who developd recurrent AV dissociation after minor oral surgery. The patient required aggressive pharmacological treatment with isoproterenol for hemodynamic restoration. It is strongly believed that the reason for this complication was the over dose of the two calcium channel blockers for quiet bed rest. The following are important for the physical control of the elderly when treated with polypharmacy vasodillator. 1) Thorough understanding of the patient's past history. 2) Exhaustive observation of the the cardiovascular alteration in pre-and postoperative evaluation. 3) Attention to changes in the effects of frequently used anti-hypertensive and anginal drugs after admission to the hospital.journal articl
高度の辺縁性歯肉炎を併発した遺伝性歯肉線維腫症について
application/pdfA case of hereditary fibromatosis gingivae accompanied secondarily by severe marginal periodontitis was reported. The patient was a 33-year-old male. On examining the patient's familial background, extreme gingival swelling was noted in his younger brother and daughter. The surgical treatment under general anestheia consisted of flap operation in both arches. It was followed up for 18 months.journal articl
ホルマリン・グアヤコールを根管消毒剤として使用した臨床成績について
application/pdfA clinical study was done to discover whether or not Formalin-Guaiacol "NEO" (FG) could be used as disinfectant for intracanal medication. In 679 cases of pulpectomy and infected root canal, FG was sealed in the root canals for a few days, and clinical symptoms and progress were examined at the begining of the next appointment. The results obtained were as follows: 1. 8 out of 247 asymptomatic apical periodontitis cases resulted in exacerbation of periodontitis. 4 out of these 8 cases had both spontaneous pain and percussion pain. In the 4 remaining cases, only percussion pain was indicated. It was considered that these clinical symptoms were caused by FG. 2. It was concluded that FG could be used as disinfectant for intracanal medication in pulpectomy and infected root canal treatment teeth.journal articl
Bacteroides intermediusの核酸分解酵素(DNase)の精製とその性状
application/pdfWhen 8 strains of B. intermedius were isolated from pus samples collected from the human oral lesions and examined for their DNase production on DNA-TBO agar plates, it was found that all the strains had DNase activity. DNase was purified partially from the cell extract of one of those strains, LM-4, and its enzymatic properties were studied. Molecular weight was estimated to be 52,000 and isoelectric point was 7.2. Optium pH for the activity was around 7.0. The enzyme was activated by Mg^ or Fe^, and inhibited by EDTA. The DNase hydrolized both denatured DNA and RNA, indicating that this DNase may be a non-specific nuclease.journal articl
本学歯科補綴学第1講座で扱った総義歯および局部床義歯装着患者の実態調査
application/pdfA number of complete and partial dentures in the Department of Prosthodontics of the Matsumoto Dental College Hospital were statistically studied for four years from January, 1981 to December, 1984. The number of wearers was 1,285 and the total of complete and partial dentures was 2,420. The results may be summarized as follows. 1) The number of wearers has decreased over time. The percentage of female wearers is 5% higher than male weares. 2) Among wearers having complete dentures the number of females is about 10% higher than males. 3) Among wearers of partial dentures the number of males is about 3% higher than females. 4) The number of complete dentures is about 6-7% higher than that of partial dentures. 5) Many of the wearers of complete dentures are 50-70 years old. 6) Many of the wearers of partial dentures are 40-60 years old. 7) According to the Kennedy Classification, class I is the largest. 8) Classification of outpatient residence by regional groups showed that the number of outpatients in the Shiojiri region is greater than that of the Matsumoto region.journal articl
