平成3年における冠・架工義歯補綴に関する統計的観察 その1 単独冠について
Get PDFapplication/pdfA study was made of 792 crowns which had been fabricated for patients at the Prosthodontic Clinic of Matsumoto Dental College during 1991. Some of the results were as follows: 1) 44.2% of the patients were male and 55.8% were female. 2) 88.0% of the patients were between 20 and 69 years old. 3) Crowns of the upper abutment teeth than lower abutment teeth. 4) 75.4% of the crowns were fabricated for nonvital teeth. 5) 50.0% of the crowns were fabricated as full cast crowns, 17.3% as facing crowns (11.1% as porcelain fused to metal crowns, 6.2% as resin facing crowns), 15.0% as jacket crowns (15.0% as resin jacket crowns and none as porcelain jacket crowns), 17.4% as partial coverage crowns and 0.3% as dowel crowns.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfA pre-pubescent female patient showed functional class III malocclusion with severe crowding. Generally, functional class III cases are said to be treated easily. But if anterior crossbite is left as it is, some cases shift to skeletal class III which is more difficult to treat. The objectives of treatment at the first stage are to control favorable jaw growth, to gain anterior guidance for TMJ, and to stabilize periodontal tissue in the upper and lower incisors. The upper and lower first premolars were extracted to correct severe crowding. This case was treated with lingual arch and edgewise appliance. Five years after retention, the case has shown stable occlusion and nice aesthetic profile.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfまず,我国における歯学教育について歴史的に展望し,歯科大学の前身である歯学院が1890年初めて出来て以来,第2次世界大戦後を経て現在に至るまでの変遷を述べた.次いで,松本歯科大学の教育システムについて言及した.松本歯科大学は1972年の創立であり,その教育内容は当初より6年制の一貫教育であり,多少の改善を加えつつ現在に至っている.しかしながら,近年に至り我国の大学という大学の教養課程の形骸化が問題となり,1991年7月に抜本的な大学教育の改革がなされた.その要点は,①教養課程を制度上廃止する ②カリキュラムの編成が各大学の自主性にまかされた ③シラバスの作成 ④自己点検・自己評価などである.そこで,本学でも1992年より,新たな教育改革に取り組むことになり検討を重ねてきたので,その概要につき述べた.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfN-bromosuccinimide, which is known to act on histidine and tryptophan residues of polypeptides and proteins, has been shown to inhibit Ca response specifically without inhibiting Na response in the water receptor of the frog. In order to ascertain the involvement of histidine and tryptophan residues in the receptor site responsible for Ca response, effects of histidase, tryptophanase and α-chymotrypsin on Ca and Na responses were examined. Histidase , tryptophanase and α-chymotrypsin inhibited Ca response without inhibiting Na response, while tyrosinase had no effect on either Ca nor Na response. These results suggest that the receptor site for Ca response involves histidine and/or tryptophan residues.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfIn the present investigation, BMP (bone morphogenetic protein) was obtained according to the methods of Urist et al. (1984). The bovine demineralized bone matrix was extracted with 6M Urea and the supernatant solution was dialyzed against water. The precipitate was collected by centrifugation (Urea Fraction-1: UF-1). The UF-1 was redissolved in 6M urea solution and dialyzed against a citrate buffer (pH 3.1). After that, a grayish-white precipitate was collected (UF-2). Histopathological study revealed that both UF-1 and UF-2 induced subcutaneous and perimusclar tissues of rats to form bone, indicating that UF-1 and UF-2 have BMP activities. Furthermore, suqualane-UF complex elicited heterotopic formation of wide bone with bone marrow tissue.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfThis paper presented two rare cases of a gemino-fused tooth which consisted of deciduous central and lateral incisors and a supernumerary tooth in maxilla. The first case was found at right maxilla of a 6-year-old boy. Ground sections of this gemino-fused tooth revealed that the three teeth were combined with not only dentin but also enamel, cementum and pulp. The second case was shown to occur at left maxilla of a 6-year-old boy. Histopathology of this abnormal tooth showed that enamel, dentin and cementum of the three teeth were united, and pulp of the central incisor and supernumerary tooth were also connected. In both cases no abnormalities in number or shape of the next permanent incisors were observed by X-ray graphs.journal articl
