RISK MANAGEMENT AND EARNINGS MANAGEMENT ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE IN ISLAMIC BANKING: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF INDONESIA
This study aims to determine the effect of risk management and earnings management on financial performances in Islamic banking: an empirical study of Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative research method. As for the sampling technique, we used purposive sampling. The type of data is secondary data. The samples used in this study were ten banks registered with the Financial Services Authority from 2015 to 2020. Data analysis in this study used the application of the SEM-PLS. This research indicates that risk management and earnings management affect financial performance.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Jenis datanya adalah data sekunder. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sepuluh bank yang terdaftar di Otoritas Jasa Keuangan dari tahun 2015 sampai dengan tahun 2020. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen risiko dan manajemen laba berpengaruh terhadap kinerja keuangan.

IMPACT OF ONLINE CUSTOMER REVIEWS AND RATINGS ON ELECTRONIC PRODUCT PURCHASES: A TOKOPEDIA PLATFORM SURVEY AMONG PRODUCTIVE AGE CONSUMERS IN JAMBI CITY
This research aims to elucidate the impact of Online Customer Reviews and Online Customer Ratings on the decision-making process for online purchases on the E-Commerce platform Tokopedia. The study focuses on residents of Jambi City who are of productive age. A purposive sampling method was employed to select 100 respondents as the sample size for this study. Data collection was conducted through a survey questionnaire, and this primary data was analysed using multiple linear regression techniques, utilising the SPSS software for Windows. The findings of this analysis reveal that Online Customer Reviews positively influence purchasing decisions. In contrast, Online Customer Ratings were found to have no significant effect on these decisions. This suggests that while the content of customer reviews plays a crucial role in shaping consumer behaviour and choices on the Tokopedia platform, the numerical ratings assigned by customers do not significantly sway purchasing decisions. These results offer valuable insights into consumer behaviour in the digital marketplace, particularly in the context of e-commerce platforms like Tokopedia, and can inform strategies for online retailers and marketers in optimising customer engagement and sales conversion
ANALISIS VARIABEL YANG MEMPENGARUHI LOYALITAS PENUMPANG DI UJUNG-KAMAL
Indonesia is an archipelago where ferry transportation is a means of transportation that is often used by the community, which acts as a bridge between islands separated by waters. Ujung-Kamal Port is a crossing that connects Java Island with Madura Island. Since the construction of the Suramadu Bridge in 2009 and the elimination of the entrance fee, the number of passengers in the crossing has decreased. This study aims to determine the effect of 3 research variables namely comfort, safety and reliability which represent indicators of service quality on passenger loyalty for crossing transportation across Ujung-Kamal. This research uses quantitative descriptive method with the determination of respondents using simple random sampling method and for data analysis using SEM PLS application. The SEM PLS application is used to measure the relationship between variables with measuring indicators and to determine the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the variables of comfort, safety and reliability have an influence on passenger loyalty across the Ujung-Kamal crossing.Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan dimana transportasi penyeberangan merupakan sarana transportasi yang sering digunakan oleh masyarakat, yang berperan sebagai jembatan penghubung antar pulau yang dipisahkan oleh perairan. Pelabuhan Ujung-Kamal merupakan salah satu penyeberangan yang menghubungkan Pulau Jawa dengan Pulau Madura. Sejak dibangunnya Jembatan Suramadu pada tahun 2009 dan dihapuskannya tarif masuk, jumlah penumpang di penyeberangan tersebut mengalami penurunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh 3 variabel penelitian yaitu kenyamanan, keamanan dan keandalan yang mewakili indikator kualitas pelayanan terhadap loyalitas penumpang angkutan penyeberangan lintas Ujung-Kamal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan penentuan responden menggunakan metode simple random sampling dan untuk analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SEM PLS. Aplikasi SEM PLS digunakan untuk mengukur hubungan antar variabel dengan indikator-indikator pengukurnya dan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel independen dengan variabel dependen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel kenyamanan, keamanan dan keandalan memiliki pengaruh terhadap loyalitas penumpang lintas penyeberangan Ujung-Kamal
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MANAGEMENT FUNCTION IMPLEMENTATION, SOCIAL CAPITAL AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE OF SMALL CRAFT INDUSTRIES: THE MEDIATING EFFECT OF COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
The research objective is to describe and model the relationship between the application of management functions, social capital and business performance of small craft industries with the mediating effect of competitive advantage in small craft industries in Jambi City. The research respondents are small craft industry businesses located in regencies/cities in Jambi City. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to small craft entrepreneurs and the results of interviews to key respondents using interview guides, while secondary data was obtained from various interest groups and literature. The classical test was performed with validity test, reliability test and normality test. Two approaches were used to analyze the data, namely qualitative and quantitative approaches using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). From the results it is concluded that the management function has a significant positive impact on business activity, social capital has a significant positive impact on business activity, competitive advantage has a significant impact on business activity, management function has an impact on business activity through competitive. benefits, and social. Responden penelitian adalah pelaku usaha industry kecil kerajinan yang terdapat di kabupaten/kota dalam Kota Jambi. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner kepada pemilik usaha industri kecil kerajinan dan hasil wawancara dengan panduan wawancara kepada key responden, sedagkan data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai instansi terkait dan literatur. Metode analisis adalah kuantitatif yaitu menggunakan uji statistik dan pengujian hipotesis. Uji klasik dilakukan dengan uji validitas, uji reliabelitas dan uji normalitas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan dua pendekatan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dan kedua analisis data dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa Management Function berpengaruh signifikan posituf terhadap Business Performance, Social Capital berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap Business Performance, Competitive Advantage berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Business Performance, Management Function berpengaruh terhadap Business Performance melalui Competitive Advantage dan Social Capital melalui Competitive Advantage berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap Business Performance
ANALYSIS OF THE APPLICATION OF ONLINE TICKET BOOKING APPLICATION ACCESS BY KAI
This study aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of online ticket booking applications on the number of train passengers based on ticket sales data. The development of technology has brought significant changes in the transportation industry, including trains, with the introduction of online ticket booking applications. The analysis method used is a non-parametric statistical test to measure the relationship between the application and the number of passengers. Train ticket sales data for several years before and after the implementation of the application were used in the analysis. The results of the analysis showed a positive relationship between the implementation of online ticket booking applications and an increase in the number of train passengers. The findings support the view that the ease of access and convenience in booking tickets through the app has encouraged more people to use rail services. Although the results of this study indicate the positive impact of implementing online ticket booking applications, there are several other factors that can affect the number of passengers, such as economic factors, promotions, and additional services offered by train operators. Therefore, this study has limitations in considering all these factors. Based on these findings, it is recommended that train operators continue to develop and improve online ticket booking applications as part of their marketing and customer service strategies. This research contributes to understanding how technology can shape consumer behavior in the transportation industry and the extent of its impact on train passenger numbers.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan aplikasi pemesanan tiket online terhadap jumlah penumpang kereta api berdasarkan data penjualan tiket. Perkembangan teknologi telah membawa perubahan yang signifikan pada industri transportasi, termasuk kereta api, dengan diperkenalkannya aplikasi pemesanan tiket secara online. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji statistik non parametrik untuk mengukur hubungan antara aplikasi dengan jumlah penumpang. Data penjualan tiket kereta api selama beberapa tahun sebelum dan sesudah penerapan aplikasi digunakan dalam analisis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara penerapan aplikasi pemesanan tiket online dengan peningkatan jumlah penumpang kereta api. Temuan ini mendukung pandangan bahwa kemudahan akses dan kenyamanan dalam memesan tiket melalui aplikasi telah mendorong lebih banyak orang untuk menggunakan layanan kereta api. Meskipun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya dampak positif dari penerapan aplikasi pemesanan tiket online, namun terdapat beberapa faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi jumlah penumpang, seperti faktor ekonomi, promosi, dan layanan tambahan yang ditawarkan oleh operator kereta api. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan dalam mempertimbangkan semua faktor tersebut. Berdasarkan temuan ini, operator kereta api disarankan untuk terus mengembangkan dan meningkatkan aplikasi pemesanan tiket online sebagai bagian dari strategi pemasaran dan layanan pelanggan. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memahami bagaimana teknologi dapat membentuk perilaku konsumen dalam industri transportasi dan sejauh mana dampaknya terhadap jumlah penumpang kereta api
THE EFFECT OF FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE AND BANKOWNERSHIP ON RETURN ON ASSET IN INDONESIAN BANKING PERIOD 2019-2022
The purpose of this research was analyzed the effect of positively and significantly Operating Expenses on Return on Assets. This research was analyzed the effect of positively and significantly Net Interest Margin on Return on Assets. This research was analyzed the effect of positively and significantly Capital Adequacy Ratio on Return on Assets. This research was analyzed the effect of positively and significantly Loan to Deposit Ratio on Return on Assets. this research was analyzed the effect of positively and significantly Bank Ownership on Return on Assets. Purposive sampling is a sampling technique by determining certain criteria. The sample in this study are commercial banks in Indonesia in the 2019-2022 period except for Islamic Banks, BPD (Regional Development Banks) and Foreign Banks (KCBA, Branch Offices of Foreign Banks). Panel data analysis and hypotheses were tested using Eviews. The results of the study show that bank ownership has the most positive effect on return on assets. Foreign ownership is the percentage of company shares held by foreign investors. Foreign ownership can be an alternative choice when a company wants to control the management. Foreign companies tend to have a good focus on the issue of good corporate governance, so it's the right choice if a company wants to increase the transparency of this aspect.Keyword: Financial Performance, Bank Ownership, Profitability, Banking Company

In a company, many factors support the sustainability of the company, especially in the era of globalization which increases competition between companies. To be able to survive in the current era of global competition, companies do not only focus on company profits, but also focus on human resources in company management. This study aims to examine the effect of Transformational Leadership Style on Organizational Commitment, test the effect of Transformational Leadership Style on Employee Performance and examine the effect of Transformational Leadership Style on Employee Engagement at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Bukittinggi. The samples used according to these characteristics were 53 samples which were in accordance with the acceptable samples for parametric analysis (30<x<500). Transformational Leadership Style has an effect on Organizational Commitment, Transformational Leadership Style has an effect on Employee Engagement and Transformational Leadership Style has an effect on Employee Performance
STRATEGY FOR INCREASING THE FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF CULINARY MSMEs IN THE POST-PANDEMI COVID-19 ERA IN JAMBI CITY
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze strategies for improving the financial performance of Culinary MSMEs in the current era and after the Covid-19 pandemic in Jambi City. The analysis tools used are SWOT analysis and PLS analysis. The results showed that the SO (Strenght Opportunity) Strategy increased customer trust, added employees, and maintained cleanliness. The WO (Weaknesses Opportunity) strategy provides discounts on every purchase, providing free order delivery services at short distances. Strategy ST (Strenght Threat) adding new employees, decorating the room so that visitors are comfortable. The WT (Weaknesses Threat) strategy is adding new products or adding level variants to old products, looking for new investors to expand the business. Then Entrepreneur Orientation has a significant effect on innovation in Culinary MSMEs in Jambi City, Market Orientation has no significant effect on innovation in Culinary MSMEs in Jambi City, Entrepreneur Orientation has a significant effect on Financial Performance on Culinary MSMEs in Jambi City, Market Orientation has no significant effect on Financial Performance on Culinary MSMEs in Jambi City, Innovation has a significant effect on Financial Performance on Culinary MSMEs in Jambi City, Entrepreneurial Orientation has a significant effect on MSME Financial Performance with innovation as a mediating variable on Culinary MSMEs in Jambi City, Market Orientation has a significant effect on MSME Financial Performance with innovation as a mediating variable in Culinary MSMEs in Jambi City.

THE IMPACT OF CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENT ON PURCHASE INTENTION OF LOCAL SKINCARE BRAND: THE ROLE OF PERCEIVED QUALITY AND PERCEIVED VALUE
The main objective of this study is to explore the role of celebrity endorsement in generating consumer purchase intent while taking into account perceived value and perceived quality in relation to local skincare brands. in local skincare brands. This study used a survey approach in collecting data. Online research questionnaires were distributed to target respondents. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of skincare consumers who know local skincare brands and celebrities who endorse the brand. There were 153 responses from respondents that were valid and can be used for analysis. The results of this study demonstrate that the influence of celebrity endorsement and perceived quality on purchase intention is significant. It has been demonstrated that perceived quality helps to moderate the impact of celebrity endorsement on consumers' intention to buy. Celebrity endorsement, moreover, has been shown to influence perceived value. However, perceived value does not affect purchase intention. Hence, it has not been demonstrated that perceived value mediates the impact of celebrity endorsement on purchase or buying intention. The use of celebrity endorsements is able to encourage consumer purchase intentions so that companies should pay attention to the factors in selecting celebrities who will be invited to cooperate to promote products so that the perception of quality as well as the value formed by consumers is in accordance with company targets
