Business model development for a board game café at gading serpong, Tangerang
Abstract – This final project is about the business model development of Games On Café (G.O.C), a recently founded board game café located at Gading Serpong, Tangerang. Its business is a combination of café and interactive games. The business situation analysis covers the external environment, the internal environment and the financial analysis. PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces are used as tools to analyze the external environment analysis, whereas the internal factors are examined by using value chain analysis. Based on the result of primary data collection, combined with the literature study, the author identifies G.O.C to adopt the differentiation focus strategy, according to Porter’s generic strategies. Having defined the generic strategies, the comprehensive business strategy is further developed by using business model canvas. Proposed Go-to-Market Strategy for new mobile Application on leisure industry in indonesia
Abstract— Indonesia is a mobile-first country where majority access the internet through mobile gadgets such as smartphone or tablet. The number of internet users in Indonesia is 88 million and continue raising. The momentum has given impact to the national trend which is called the digital economy. People in Indonesia also has seen the emergence of national sharing platforms such as Go-Jek, a startup that let us sharing the motorbike in Indonesia, as well as the concept of sharing economy startups such as Grab, Uber, and Airbnb. In Indonesia, experience economy is also raising, especially for millennials or young generation. The number of an event such as music concert, sports entertainment, and other experience or event, gradually increase year by year. According to McKinsey data in 2011, the leisure industry is expected to growth 7.5% annually. Based on the current trend such as sharing economy, digital economy, and experience economy among the young generation, a startup company, Pleasurra is taking action to innovate on leisure industry business by combining the sharing economy with experience economy through technology especially mobile application. However, Pleasurra is facing several problem in their business especially getting traction of users in their mobile application. The problem can result. In this journal, the writer will focus on marketing problem of Pleasurra. The business condition will be analyzed first by using 5’C analysis including climate, customers, company, competitors, and collaborators. After conducting the root cause analysis, the main problem is low traction of users. In order solve that, the writer propose to define go-to-market strategy. The go-to-market strategy will be proposed based on the 3V’S marketing mix model by Nirmalya Kumar. Valued customers, value proposition, and value of network. The supporting solutions such as word of mouth marketing and content marketing also will be explored further in this journal. The effect of key financial ratios to share return in the companies listed on lq45 index indonesian stock exchange (idx)
Abstract. The capital market is an important part for the economy of a country. Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) reflected that Indonesia stock market is growing rapidly in the number of investors, amount of transactions and market capitalization. Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) continues to grow more quickly than the majority of markets in developed and developing economies – not just in Asia, but in around the world. This study research has conducted regression analysis to determine the relationship between share return and selected financial ratios namely Earning Per Share (EPS), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Price to Book Value (PBV), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Return on Equity (ROE) of companies listed as LQ45 in Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2013 – 2017. Data used in this research is secondary data. Samples are from 19 companies listed in LQ45 Index. This study confirm that DER, NPM, EPS, PER and PBV individually have positive significant effect on the Share Return and ROE has negative significant effect on the Share Return. Likewise DER, NPM, ROE, EPS, PER and PBV are simultaneously influence the Share Return.Keywords: Regression analysis, panel data, financial ratios, share retur
Strategy formulation for kanawa coffee to win the competition using diamond strategy framework
ABSTRACT - Food and beverages business is one of the business that have a promising future because food and beverages is a primary need for people. Kanawa Coffee is a coffee shop located in Suryo street, south Jakarta which is a mainstream area for find a restaurant or coffee shop. There are many competitors in the industry that made the competition in this industry so tight, so Kanawa Coffee need to have a good strategy to win the competition also avoid the chances of imitation.The research was conducted with scanning the internal and external environment of the business and also through the data collection from interview and questionnaire. The strategy formulation method that will be used is Diamond Strategy, strategies that has been formulated will be made into a layered activity mapping to avoid the chances of imitation and also made into a new business model canvas for Kanawa Coffee. Kanawa Coffee should improve the key variables that influenced people, So the strategies that has been formulated are based on the key variables itself. There is a chance for competitor to imitate the strategy that has been proposed, so to avoid the chances of imitation Kanawa Coffee should do layered activities in order to make competitor difficult to imitate the strategies. With the result of diamond strategy formulation and strategy to avoid imitation, there are an improvement in business model canvas of Kanawa Coffee. Management and staffs of Kanawa Coffee need to be prepared before execute the strategies proposed and then do the improvement as soon as possible. The improvement need to be measured by Kanawa Coffee in order to know the impact of each strategy. Business Development to Increase Company Performance and Downstream for Nickel-Based Industry
Abstract. PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) located in Morowali, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia and established in 2013. IMIP is a combination of an Indonesian company with companies from China, where products of IMIP will be exported to China. The Indonesian government made a policy that mining companies can no longer export raw materials from mining output, but the companies should downstream the raw materials if they want to export the results of its products. There are some problems in the PT. Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), including the effect of government regulation of the downstream of the mining, the impact of the construction of smelter in IMIP, strategies that must be implemented to improve the company's performance, strategy that must be built in relation to the downstream undertaken by the company, and priority should be taken based on the strategy that has been selected. Analytical hierarchy process is carried out to see the priority that should be done by the company in selecting alternative strategies. The factors that considered for every alternative are the factor of cost, time, and also the effectiveness of each strategy chosen. Companies do not have to implement all the strategies that have been planned simultaneously, but can execute a strategy according to which the main priorities toward a strategy that has the lowest priority.Keywords: IMIP, Business Development, Analytical Hierarchy Proces
The study of consumer behavior on eyebrow embroidery service with jakarta female office worker as a target market for x-thrill salon
Abstract -- On these couple years, eyebrow embroidery becomes trends on Indonesian celebrity. People start to follow the trends. Eyebrow embroidery starts easier to be accepted. Nowadays, female office workers get more concern about appearance. They also need time efficiency. X-Thrill Salon has consideration that female office workers become a great potential market for eyebrow embroidery. The purpose of this thesis is to study the consumer behavior on eyebrow embroidery service with Jakarta female office worker as target market for X-Thrill Salon. The marketing concept states that, to be successful, a company must understand the needs of specific groups of consumers such as target markets and then satisfy these needs more effectively than the competitor. The satisfaction of consumer needs is delivered in the form of marketing mix. Marketers who have a thorough understanding of the consumer decision-making process are likely to design products or services, establish prices, select distribution outlets, and design promotional message that will favorably influence consumer purchase decisions. Consumer Behavior Research of Electronic Money Business in Indonesia and A Marketing Proposal (Subject: Flazz BCA)
Abstract - PT XL Axiata Tbk. is a company that provide telecommunication services in Indonesia. Providing 2G and 3G services that majority Indonesian used. Having around 59,000,000 subscribers, XL become the second largest operator in Indonesia. XL focusing in college and schools subscribers, with XL low cost of services. In Indonesia, there is some phenomena that the most expensive cost is going with the most coverage area. The lowest cost always align with smallest coverage area. XL have different approach, XL have lower cost and wider coverage area. This is why subscribers of XL increasing in last 4 years. In 2014, XL increase their debt to ratio 2.1 to equity. This debt make financial ratio of PT XL Axiata Tbk worse. PT XL Axiata Tbk generate loss in the end of 2014. This situation happened because XL try to wider their coverage area, to gain mare subscribers. To wider the coverage area, XL need new technology and new BTS (Base Transceiver Station). In the end of 2014 XL have the second rank in the most BTS in Indonesia. No other company can do like what XL do. The goal of XL is “to be a leader in providing easy-to-use mobile internet experience at a lower price to Indonesians, with the XL brand having strong appeal to the Emerging Middle Class segmentâ€. The debt is not only make a good impact for XL. In other hand there is negative impact. Financial ratio of XL also get worse and make it look bad in investors. XL shares price declining in September 2014 till New Year of 2015. PT XL Axiata Tbk need to improve their financial performance. Alternative to make a better performance, is with adapting 4G technology. It will cost more to XL to build and buying new technology, but it will worth the effort. With forecasting from 2015-2019 Indonesia market will not increase much in telecommunication, because right now from 3 major company in telecommunication, there recording around 250,000,000 SIM card that registered although population in Indonesia only have around 240,000,000 citizens. It means every Indonesians have 1 SIM card minimum. So to get new subscribers the only way is to offering new service that can attract customers to subscribe to XL. 4G will make the new experience to subscribers, and give better internet speed. With this alternative, calculated the cost and revenue of 4G technology with forecasting growth of subscribers and BTS, will give better financial performance and ratios. To apply this strategy, XL need some implementation plan. Some activity need to be done first such as debt extension, looking for new source of funding such as convertible bonds to increase revenue and make net profit. The purpose of this research is to formulate marketing strategy and marketing plan for Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee to capture its target market in Cold Brew Coffee industry geographically in South Jakarta. Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee is Startup Company that sell cold brew coffee product which specialized for combat sports gym. Established in Jakarta, Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee is facing urgency to compete and had to capture its target market through delivering its value proposition to its target market. Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee having advantage by specializing to sell only for combat sports gym as there are on demand for coffee product meanwhile there are unavailable coffee product in combat sports gym, therefor Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee is the first entrant for coffee product in combat sports gym. By specializing to combat sports gym, it gives Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee niche market segmentation which result ability to compete with competitors through its channel distribution and also grant Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee suitable value proposition in combat sports gym which are fat burner and endurance that are useful to support combat sports workout. Methods which used in the research are the combination from quantitative and qualitative methodology. Interview and questionnaire are conducted to collect primary data and the results are analyzed to gathered secondary data. Those data will be used to validate the opportunities in the combat sports gym. It is conducted to generate marketing strategy to have competitive advantage for Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee. The value proposition will be communicated through marketing plan for niche market segmentation of Black Belt Cold Brew Coffee. The research result readjustment of product label and the selling price of the product which is intended to support the marketing strategy of Black Belt. Proposed Business Strategy to Improve Sales of Jackob Polish Bandung
Abstract— Growth of the automotive industry is like the never ending process. Everyday in the world each automotive factory produce many cars in each type. A car consists of so many parts and as time goes by the parts need to renew again. There are parts when it broke or already reach the time replacement then that parts must be replace with a new one. There are some chance in parts of car body to open the business. In fact that the car user is increasing day to day. Based on that situation then Jackob Polish Bandung see the opportunity to grab the market in automotive aspect especially in headlamp cleaning. Jackob Polish Bandung focus in headlamp service which is include cleaning and custom blackhousing and need to achieve the target in order to get revenue. There is a need on marketing and promotion support to achieve the target. Jackob Polish Bandung challenged to increase sales on each month so they can reach the long term target. The analysis include the internal and external aspects of the Jackob Polish Bandung. In the internal analysis was done by using Value Chain analysis, resources analysis and VRIO analysis. And the external analysis was done by using PEST analysis and Porter’s 5 Forces analysis. The results of internal and external analysis will be used to proposed the strategies and also TOWS matrix. The proposed strategies must be implemented in order to show the different before action plans done and after action plan done. These strategies also will be guidance for Jackob Polish Bandung for taking the decision. Stock Depreciation and Company Valuation of PT Express Transindo Utama, Tbk
Abstract. PT Express Transindo Utama (Express Group) is the second largest taxi company in Indonesia. Currently Blue Bird is still market leader but Express is showing signs of aggressive expansion. On 2 November 2012 Express debuted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (making it Indonesia's first publicly traded cab service) by selling 49 percent of its equity, raising IDR 588.7 billion (about USD $60 million). However, PT Express Transindo which listed as PT Express Transindo Utama, Tbk (TAXI) stocks depreciates from Rp.1.200 in 2 January 2015 to Rp. 105 per share in 30 December 2015. In order to find the cause of the phenomena, event study used to determine the stock’s price change. Independent sample test and Mann Whitney U test conducted for the two events which estimated as the cause of PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk stocks depreciation during 2015. Those two events which eastimated to be relate with the bearish price of the TAXI stock is the Gojek Launching in 10 February 2015 and Saratoga Cancellation Acquisition in 7th October 2015. This final project also measured the intrinsic value of PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk, by using Discounted Cash Flow method valuation. The intrinsic value of PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk is currently undervalued at Rp 1201,14 per share compare with the market price at Rp 105 at the end of 2015. However, the company suffered the negative cash in the end od projected years due to the obligations to pay Rp 1 trillion company bonds. In order to improve their financial performance this study propose the business solution, which are, optimizing the Working day in Express Brand’s fleet, Increasing the Express fleet daily payment Improving the Eagle Brand fleets occupancy Increasing the revenue from Value Added Transportation Business and also developing their own mobile based application. Keyword: Taxi, Event Study, Discounted Cash Flow, Relative Valuation, Financial Analysi
